Lotopharg Epilogue:
About a month ago, I decided on the SAD auto.
The first package was stolen by a neighbor. I live in a big block, and the UPS delivery service thought it was a good idea to leave the package in the hallway...
Sweet Seeds kindly sent me another package. 10/10 customer service 💖
The package was labeled "Spain," which is why the parcel was sent back to Spain when it was in Germany. After some back and forth, I finally intercepted the delivery guy today and held the (now well-traveled) seeds in my hand.
Strain: The SAD Auto is an auto version (x Ruderalis) of Black Domina '98, I chose it because I have a preference for heavy knockout weed.
Soil: The soil is again a mix of Lightmix worm humus, perlite, and clay balls, along with some old soil for drainage (and a bit of mycorrhiza).
Have fun with the diary! 😎💖
07/29/25: The first seed is already showing its root 🙌
07/30/25: The second seed is showing its root 🙌🙌
07/31/25: The third seed has shown its roots 🙌🙌🙌 so the girls are now complete.
They were immediately placed in their soil bed and well covered.

Lotopharg The three little dominatrices are busy growing bigger. One fell over at the beginning of the week, first in one direction, then in the other. Luckily, I noticed it pretty quickly and corrected it. Now it's standing (back left in the tent) very stable again, and I've stopped worrying about it.
My triploid is growing fantastically.
The plant in the front is currently growing the most stable.
I actually wanted to try trimming the main stem, but they're not stable enough for that yet.
And whether I'll even do that with the triploid lady, I don't know yet 😅
I'm super satisfied with the three of them. 😍😎

Lotopharg I am absolutely thrilled with the method:
I've been trimming the fresh leaves of the main stem for a week now to encourage the growth of the lower side branches.
I'm going to call this "soft-topping" training method the "Basementganja Method" (I got the idea from his videos) big thanks to BettyFlores for that (her success with it convinced me to give it a try) and so far I can really recommend it:
The plant seems to be less stressed than with topping, and the side branches are developing fantastically.
I also accidentally (due to being scatterbrained) gave this little one a good dose of BioBizz-Grow, but they look pretty stable, so I'm not too worried.
One leaf of the SAD auto #3 has a hole, but I can't see any pests.
SAD Auto #2 has a somewhat stunted side leaf that looks a bit dried out. I’ve cautiously increased the lamp distance a bit.
Additionally, I got myself a new activated carbon filter plus fan (100mm) and a monitor for humidity and temperature. So far, I'm thrilled.
I can recommend the little set from Spiderfamer (old controller) so far.
Let's see how loud the fan gets when it's run at a higher setting and what level is enough for me in terms of smell.
At 4, it gets quite loud, but below that it's totally fine.
Thank you for your attention! 😎❤️

Lotopharg The three sweet ones are thriving beautifully.
The training method is still working great.
S.A.D auto #1 Triploid: She had a very chaotic growth, I tried to spread and structure her a bit with LST. Since I didn't have a good wire on hand, I used wires from a champagne cork. Which honestly worked out really well. 😂 With the Domina genetics, she should be familiar with bondage play. 😇😁😎
S.A.D auto #2: Strong and relatively even growth. The dried side leaves have continued to grow. I have continued to defoliate the cardinal shoot and leaves growing inward that cover the secondary shoots. A few leaves are showing deficiency/surplus through spots.
S.A.D. auto #3: Also nice growth. Some of the larger leaves are also showing slight spots. Possibly a slight nitrogen surplus or iron or manganese deficiency, I will keep an eye on that, but it's really no reason to panic, the plants look fundamentally healthy and especially beautifully even in growth. If it worsens by the next update, I’ll just hide the deficient leaves through defoliation. 😉
I can heartily recommend to anyone who hasn't tried it yet to give the "Basementganja" method a shot. ❣️
Thank you very much for your attention 💖😎❤️

Lotopharg The young ladies have transitioned into the flowering phase this week. That's why I gave them a good amount of flowering nutrients and one last proper N fertilization.
I've now stopped the training and also removed the LST straps.
I can highly recommend the method and will definitely try it again!
I'm very happy with the three of them. 😎😍

Lotopharg This week, I really did a number on the ladies:
They got lollipopped, and not sparingly, they were radically defoliated and lost almost all weak shoots.
I also bent them in all directions to make room for inner shoots and to fill the area effectively.
And they reacted very well to all of this.
I quite like how they are now.
If #3 continues to grow stronger, I’ll make a net out of all three with bent/massaged (HST) shoots.
Let’s see how they look next week. Maybe I’ll just let them keep growing like this.
I’m very satisfied with the three, they could have filled a square meter if I had let them.
Thank you all for your attention! 💖 😎

Lotopharg I'm very satisfied with the three, besides maintaining the surface and making sure that fan leaves don't cover the buds and a bit more lollipopping, there wasn't much to do.
Meanwhile, the three ladies smell quite seductive! Especially #3, which is the furthest along, smells not only like hash but also like red berries. Simply amazing!
I'm totally thrilled 💖😊😎

Lotopharg The girls are really taking off.
#1 and #2 finally got their stretch and have caught up well in height.
#3 is already quite far into flowering, the buds are getting a bit thicker.
#3 has a significant calcium deficiency, but I refuse to buy Calmag right now, she'll get through it.
The girls are sweating quite a bit and the humidity is actually too high for the flowering phase.
I can highly recommend this training method for autos, I'm having so much fun with it and the plant structure is really top-notch.
I need to get in there again soon and clean up the three a bit. 😄😏
I'm absolutely thrilled with the cuties! 😎😍

Lotopharg The humidity has been way too high because I couldn't keep up with the defoliation. The training method worked a bit too well, and I have a few too many shoots. Once the first plant is done, I'll stretch a net for the others and remove a few shoots.
After defoliating and lollipopping, the humidity dropped back down to 58 percent. Many of the lower shoots were yellowish and dried out. The other two plants have also started to show deficiencies; unfortunately, I just don't have enough time for my hobby right now. I treated myself to a bottle of Calmag for the ladies and will mix in a splash of it today.
I'll still check in with you guys and quietly read along when there's something new.

Lotopharg I haven't been able to get the humidity problem under control, and I can't manage the deficiencies on #3 anymore either. To spread out the ladies, I've finally set up a net. It supports the buds and brings a bit of order. Since #3 is already so far along, I've put her a bit in the shade. I hope that doesn't come back to bite me in the end. The smell is brutal by now. I'm running the fan on level 5, and I have to say that the noise is bothering me. However, I don't sleep in that room, so I can be a bit indifferent about it.
Some of the white pistils are turning brown on #1 and #2; I hope it's just from the skin contact while threading them and that everything hasn't been messed up. That would really be the cherry on top 😄
Well, overall, I quite like the solution with the net. #1 and #2 are finally showing a bit better. Plus, it was getting tight with the lamp. That has bought me a bit more time.
The humidity is currently at 75 percent, which is really way too high. However, I also completely soaked all the pots at the beginning of the week since I hadn't had the chance to water them for a while, and the shoes were already quite dry, which is why I'm also a bit concerned about the soil life now.
Learned a lot again, it’s been exciting.
Thank you all for your attention, support, and advice 🙏 😎💚

Lotopharg I harvested the tops from #3. The leaves were really damaged, and I was hoping for a lower humidity from that. It worked out.
I then placed the rest of the plant on a bucket and wove it into the scrog, letting it ripen a bit more.
#1 and #2 are also starting to look really delicious 😋
I made some water hash from the trim of the headbuds and the defoliation from the last few days. I had to set the bag aside after two hits. The anticipation is now huge.
I’ve ordered more Dominant genetics from Sweet Seeds. 😁
Thank you all for the tips and your attention! 😎💖💚

Lotopharg I harvested and dried the first of the ladies last week.
Since the two dominatrices are alone in the tent now, I was able to restrain them again and bring some order. All the big main buds were moved to the edges to avoid casting any shadows. After I generously defoliated under the leaf canopy and removed small buds, the humidity adjusted to a level more suitable for the late flowering phase. For #1, it was probably a bit too much (light) stress, which is why I have some proper foxtails and light stress burns on her. The two are drinking quite a bit for my standards, but I always expose them to a bit of dry stress. They are still swelling nicely, though. I’ll give them about 2 more weeks.
I’m finally really satisfied with my garden again! ☺️😎💚
I am really really excited.
Although I haven't let them overripe, it is a truly wonderful knockout stoned and at the same time the strongest automatic I've had so far.
Anyone who likes strong mostly Indicas should try the S.A.D Auto. I, for one, will grow more dominant genetics from Sweet Seeds, even though the automatic seems to be falling out of the range, which I don't quite understand. However, it is still available in the outlet. 10/10

Lotopharg Unfortunately, I couldn't wait another week; one of the two plants had two different types of mold in two colas. So I pulled the emergency brake.
I can clearly take the blame for the mold; I had problems with humidity for weeks and was just waiting for it to happen.
One of the phenos is quite fox-tailed, but it's also full of sugar.
I'm still very satisfied with the yield. Since one of the phenos was two weeks faster, I'm already smoking it.
As a learning point, I'll continue to keep an eye on the humidity. Also, I like to grow in large pots, and since I don't want to change that, I'll be satisfied with two plants in the cabinet from now on; three is just too much for the small space.
@Hologram, i once tried some Black Domina and loved it.
Plus i love Black Afghani Hash, too.
This Strain should combine the Afghani Taste with a nice and Strong Knockout couch-lock stoned. 🥊😶🌫️
Great grow. A bit cramped in the tent. Too bad about the humidity. I have a Black Jack Auto from Sweet Seeds in the tent, currently in week 4 of flowering. It was so hungry for nutrients and space that I even repotted it in week 1 of flowering. Repotting was a breeze and it exploded to 40x40. You're not really supposed to do that with autos.
@Mfl84, ohhh thanks for the tip, yeah I should definitely try that again! I totally didn't have that on my radar, even though it is the BD content in the Cream Caramel... Could you give me an update on the smoking experience? I'm adding it to the list 😁
@Lotopharg, the Sweet Seeds Black Jack Autoflower has been dried for about 2-3 days now, and I tried it yesterday. So this is definitely material for medical use or if you really want to float elsewhere. The high lasts so long, and the potency is so high. I didn't expect that at all when trying it, it really knocked me off my feet. The flavor is really good and very intense leaning towards sweet/incense. Super resinous. With Apple Fritter, it's the best strain I've grown so far. Just the long-lasting high, which I haven't experienced before, makes it worth growing.
I know about the humidity issue too. Usually, I turn up the lamp and heater so the air can dry out. Heat captures and holds moisture in the air better. I also manually wipe down all the inner surfaces of the tent with a cloth. No standing water in the saucers. Yeah, and that usually works quite well. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you and me 😅
