Just got the AK Auto popped this morning from Growers Choice Seeds and she is off to a good start. Grow closet consist of an Electric Sky 300 from the Sunshine Company, great dimmable unit BTW. I'll have the lights at around 50% power for now any by the end of flower it will be up to 100%. For ventilation I have the 4" AC infinity setup, currently having issues controlling heat and humidity, thinking its all the bends up in the attic. Will address this week. The plant sits in a 5 gallon fabric pot with Coco coir, perlite, and some dry amendments by Dr. Earth. The closet space is 2.5x3.5 so the next run will have 2 Auto's. Stay tuned for that!
So she started getting a little leggy. Grew right up to 3 inches fast. I moved my lights down to 24" and she stopped growing up, and starting exploding out! Now she looks like a different plant every time she wakes up and we check on her. So every other day or so I'm increasing light intensity. I'm currently at about 65% on the dimmer switch on the Electric Sky 300. She seems happy and healthy so I'll stick to that and the 18 hour light schedule. Super stoked so far! Any comments or questions are welcomed.
This last week she veg'd out hard. Growing out sideways filling up the 5 gallon pot with fan leaves. Been having problems with fungus gnats. I have some sticky traps in catching a lot of them. Also my humidity has dropped a lot. Any suggestions on bringing it up without a humidifier is appreciated. Other than that everything else is the same like water and light. Every new node the light gets turned up a little. Can't wait for harvest!
This last week I decided to top her and do some light defoliation. So far the has bud sites popping up but no flowers yet. Kinda worried that she won't finish in time. Other than that she is getting stinky and big as you can see.
Been low stress training and some defoliation to open bud sites to the light. Got her lifted off of her tray so that water doesnt settle on the bottom. She really loved that when i got some air under there. She got top dressed with the dry amendments from Dr. Earth and ph'd water. I have a couple concerns, she hasnt shown any signs of flower and this is the 5th week. So now im gonna flip her to 12/12 light schedule to help push her into flower. Another concern is heat. My temps push 91° because of airflow. I dont have enough at the moment. Im looking at a light proof door vent to install on the bottom of the door. Other than that she is happy and growing.
Going on the sixth week. She has been on the 12/12 light schedule for a week know and has popped a lot of pistils. Not to much action on the bud structure yet. She is taking in a lot more water these days. She has grown a lot this last week. Gonna have to do some more defoliation I think. Let me know what you think.
