syzergy growth picked up this week. no LST, defoliating the primary cola leaves only to help the lowers catch up and the top slow down

syzergy lotta growth this week, pretty happy with her. snipped the primary colas top two leaves a few times, and did a bit of lst on the main branches by tying to the sides of the pot, really opened her up.

syzergy unfortunately im just running out of vertical room in this tent. ive spent the entire week pulling the branches farther and farther towards the outside and defoliating in hopes of slowing her down, she is now touching 3 of 4 sides in the tent because i keep pulling her colas horizontal, and starting to shadow my 2 new plants. i was not prepared at all for her growth. its hard to tell from the pictures, but my light can only go up about 5 more inches, and her tallest colas are 3-4 inches from the light. i ended up supercropping her primary colas, ill show on next weeks log since that was technically day 43., im hoping by the time they stand back up, she will have given up on vertical growth and will start bulking.

syzergy week 7. this plants too big for my tent. if it was the only plant i probably could have managed better, but she just kept stretching. finally i ran out of vertical room and couldnt pull the branches out far enough to keep her out of the light, so i supercropped some branches. that worked kinda ehh, she didnt like it much and stopped stretching, but also didnt heal the stalks well. a few days later i moved the plant and forgot some were tied up, so i broke them ever more. i ended up cutting down 1 large branch and a few thinner ones. the large one was disappointing, but she should still have plenty of buds. ill probably stick to smaller varieties from here on out. i have a final boss i planted a while ago, and after that ill just stay with smaller plants. i might go back to 7 gal pots too, i think i can manage them better than before, and the 15 gal are just a bit too wide for my tent. or maybe some 10 gal if i can find some that fit in the autpot xl or xxl bases. regardless, looking forward to the last few weeks of her flowering, i hope i didnt stress her too much with the supercropping and late cut of branches

syzergy getting a bit of yellowing, its early for fade so ive added some roots organic grow into my weekly top dress, and also into the tea i water that top dress in with. it seems to have at least stalled the yellowing a bit

syzergy much closer to the end now. fully in to senescence, lots of yellow and buds are ripening well at the top. plan is a staggered harvest, ill pull the tops on day 79-80, let them dry for 2 weeks and harvest lowers once the tops are dry.

a good strain. the buds are smaller overall than id like and with a short vertical space i really should have done a better job of training, but the terps are there, the potency is there, and the yield as well. hard to complain with that trilogy covered. i dont know if i will grow it again, but i would without complaint.

syzergy pleasantly surprised with this. while all the buds are pretty tiny, its almost like having bags of smalls, they hit good, and i got probably 9-10 oz. i got 7 dry and then i have a few qt bags in the freezer for washing someday. good smoke, hits hard, has me sitting in a chair thinking for a solid hour or two, but able to get up and go play some catch with my kid or do some yardwork np.

I am loving this gray moisture cover thing you have going on. It makes the plant really stand out in the photos. I may have to borrow this idea. Also, I notice you use the same training method as BasementGrows on youtube. How effective is it? Glad I found you mate, welcome to the community.

@UnorthadoxDude, oh thanks. the grey cloth is felt carpet for speakerboxes, ebay. works good for moisture retention and helps keep the fungus gnats down. the leaf defol method seems really effective. i like that it seems the lowest stress possible, but still gives the desired bushiness. ive tried it my last 4 or 5 plants and its worked pretty well with all of them when ive kept up with it through the end of veg.
the end.
