MalumProhibitum I needed another go with this one.. ..so here it is:) 2x holes dug and then carefully filled in again with a handfull of washed soil, sprinkled into the holes to make the soil as porous and air filled as one can possibly do, then another mist of water where the seeds would end up before dropping 2x seeds and carefully covering the top layer with more washed soil, for the seeds to germinate in and take off rly quyick! 2x seeds dropped into the soil and carefully covered and misted around the seeds to preserve a healthy, humid start! No cup or plastic cover after all was done, just keeping the RH at ~53% around the clock, bit low, but no humidifier and I want to preserve the excellent air circulation from the vent, and no fans running.. The plan was to drop the seeds in the soil, already populated by a shit ton of aztec tobacco and take some photos before seedlings were breaking the soil in the morning, but the little bastards had already broken the soil and started to spread their little cotyledons before I got home. Eager little bastards! :) I was expecting the seeds to take atleast 4-7 days to germinate and peek out of the soil as they have been stored in the fridge for over a year, and yeah.. thought the process would be a lot slower. As a matter of fact I see no diffrerence whatsoever but given the low sample of just 2 seeds it's all ust anecdotal haha. All good, I'm just a bit sad r.n as I was planning to do a timelapse for the germination-week, but feels like I'm 12h late now and missed the important part of them breaking the soil. But as always when things goes well, there are always other things that doesn't! I had to add some sclirae traps, as the soil I bought to spoil this grow was infested with shieeet! 😑. If this isn't enough I hope the tobacco compst tea will kill the larvae, and if that is not enough I have some Tanacetum cinerariifolium stalks and flowers, stored for events like this, making an excellent compost tea, killing every bug imaginable, then breaking down in a matter of days/weeks and turning into a healthy layer of compost. Summary: Day 1 - Seed placed directly into soil. Day 2 - Evening, seed already germinated, and cotyledon spreading out. Day 7 - Still no water added, just focusing on letting the roots breathe. Took some late day 6 evening photos. Performing at 100% of what I'm capable of in terms of --preparation of soil, TDS, light and humidity. Flawless first week from my subjective perspective.

MalumProhibitum Added 25ml aztec tobacco tea-water to each plant to prevent any sclirae-larvae from chewing on the roots. Still havn't added any nutrients, and just rely on the nutrients already in the pre-mixed soil. One can tell the soil is a bit off --from a slight burn on two of the leaves on one of the seedlings, but nothing I'm too worried about as long as she keeps growing at this excellent pace. I will flip her to flower next week, given the previous grows and how well the previous mothers developed from 1 week veg. Maybe try 12:12 from thegetgo next grow, to see how well they develop from just that, given how many nodes forming from 1 week veg. zero weeks would be required, even if I take the lowest node for 2x cuttings later on like week 3-5 in flower, and then moving the cuttings to 24h light from a 3-5W LED. I ordered Monster Maker, Strawberry Cola Sherbet F1 Fast Version --to explore a new photo-strain, an F-1 strain; with a slight hint of strawberries & cola? :) ..and ..and.. ..another stack of PPOG seeds to check if there are any odd one-phoenos making an already exceptional strain even exeptionaler? 👽 Find the exceptioalizest phoeno of the phoenos I sow, grow, and know!🤓. +Not gonna lie --I love Purple Punch OG..

MalumProhibitum I defoliated some tobacco to give the hippies more space and also gave them some DIY-nutrient-water while at it. The grow room is a bit hot and one can tell the leaves are a bit uncomfortable with the heat and LEDlight blasting them. I dialled down the lights ~10% this week to let her rest a bit. Sometimes less is more, hopefully this will solve the heat/light issue and the grow can transition smoothly into flower. note: diall down on nitrogen from now on as the leaves has a borderline --too green issue and slightly clawing fan-leaves,that will be worse unless fixed.

MalumProhibitum Pre-flowers detected late week 4, plants transitioning into flower --week 5. I changed the NPK ratio, cutting back on nitrogen and keeping everything else the same; basicly cutting back on calciumnitrate in favour of calciumacetate and lowering the potassium nitrate in favour of potassium sulfate --fed them 1,5 liter of water and fed the neighbouring chili roughly 200ml runoff water from this little project. A very subtle sweet coffee scent has emerged mid week 5 total; week 3 flower. I gently leaned over the tallest PP and it was indeed giving off a musky --sweet coffee, cream. Leaning over even further to reach the other PP I had to concentrate a bit more as this one was even more subtle --lo and behold it too was giving off a coffee scent, but sweeter, weaker and with a hint of cucumber; compared to her bigger sister who has taken on a more pronounced smell, but less sweet and more musky notes. It will be interesting to see how they develop in the weeks to come! :) I uprooted all the tobacco to give PP more room for the roots and less competition in the soil for air. I let all the tobacco leaves stay on top of the soil as a moisture preserving semi-permiable lid.

MalumProhibitum Nothing going sideways, but I am cutting back more on nitrogen and I suspect the soil is still containing shit that makes it a bit TDS-heavy. Some of the tips on the leaves are showing signs of slight excess nutrients but I'll just keep feeding her this current mix and observe how things develop. I suspect things will balance out as weeks pass and the soil gets more and more infused with my DIY-nutrients. I havn't seen any sclirae/gnats for a couple weeks now, and assume the aztec tobacco compost fed since week 2 has done it's job. Love their smell --a funky, dank --sweet & creamy, cheese, cofee, cucumber and grapes scent; a very distinct smell and it isn't very stealthy already haha. I vaped some of the lower fan-leaves, combined with some fresh aztec tobacco and the taste was nothing to write home about. I think fan leaves makes for better compost than smoke hehe. The look of her reminds me about a previous grow --San Fernando Lemon Kush --both plants having a very appealing look to them; a very pristine look, where everything look healthy. Now if I can just keep PP´s happy for 2 more months that'd be great! xD

MalumProhibitum Vaped a couple early sugar-leaves. The taste has a lot of fresh pine init, cucumber and yeah.. as a fan lf late harvests with dense frosty massive nugs this experience is as expected not great, but this will greatly improve with each week I let the plant develop. And then even more so after the harvest is dried and cured.

She is such a nice vape already! 😍👌 --Sweet berry aroma on inhale and a lingering grape taste on exhale, transitioning in to a subtle touch of grape-wine (still a touch of cucumber-peels, but less than previous week). The effects are a well balanced hybrid-high, where neither the mind, nore the body remains unaffected. It's a potent euphoric rush, transitioning into a raging hunger-munch and then a calming down effect --resulting in a good night-sleep. This is why I love this evening-strain --not overwhelming, just perfect! xD

MalumProhibitum Smell is amazing; a super-sweet berry-aroma in the grow-room. Everything is getting thicc and frosty & all I have to do is having patience now and avoid 'spoiling' them --stunting them in the process 😅. I keep pinching off popcorn buds at the lower branches and vaping them. This has a dual purpose, first off I can enjoy vaping samples throughout the grow and I can also see how well the plants adapt to stress; will it trigger nanner production or is the plants stable and keep producing female 100% female flowers? A soothing wave of sweet berries and a touch of fresh pine is what I experience as I exhale; when vaping freshly harvested flower. The effects are initially a mix of euphoria and relaxation. I take 1-2 deep inhales, then remove the Al-foil-vape from the stove and take another 3-4 inhales to cool the herb; letting it rest for an hour. I re-heat the Al-foil-vape as I feel I'm sobering up and this time run the vape until the herb is depleted --then hitting bed as the sedating calm kicks in & enjoy a 8-12h uninterrupted sleep. Zero amber, I'll keep her in flower for a few more weeks!.

MalumProhibitum She is still needing a little bit more time for the trichomes to fully mature and make the buds frostier. When vaping samples I'd it's OK now, ready to be harvested, the potency is there and the taste is more mature now but.. I'm aiming on 50/50 milky to amber to bring out the sedating indica. Tap water only now --until it's time to harvest. Zero issues encountered so far (jinx inc)👉😅.

MalumProhibitum I'm enjoying more low-branch no light --popcorn buds being pinched off, quick-dried & vaped. Taste & effects are there now, the cucumber taste replaced with a more musky pine/beer touch, backed up by a fruity sweetness. Even if the popcorn doesn't look as frosty as the top-grow, they still potent enough & getting me high a.f! xD. No amber, abundantly clear trichomes and no nanners no matter how much I'm pinching off samples to vape each evening ; I'll call this grow a success. I'll keep them maturing in the corner of the grow-space now and focus on other matters, while letting them finish on their own terms. My subjective opinion/experience/ego is telling me that it is too early to harvest. I want to mature them a bit longer.. A lot of bud-sites maturing I'll just wait, watch and chill :)

Compared to the effects of vaping them week 8 flower, they have matured into a refined-indica-high; comforting, calming and much more to my liking. One of the queens has developed a deep purple shade, transitioning into red and the other one has also taken on a nice autumn fade, just less intense-red & purple on the sugar leaves and instead has more lime/yellow & orange tones but also some purple inside the buds. **I'm enjoying vaping this masterpiece right now, and it's truely somethig.. I love this strain! & I'm really excited --the way the grow-project turned out exceeded my expectations.

MalumProhibitum In hindsight.. flipping to flower after 14 days feels like it's not making them flower earlier, but just gives them less light-hours during VEG, so I'll probably adjust that in future grows and do a minimum of 3 weeks VEG, preferably 4; as it seems to me --atleast 4 weeks, normally 5 weeks has to pass before pre-flowers start forming even in 12/12 light conditions from seed from my experience. I had to give them a lot of light in order for them to stop stretching so much, as the vertical space was limited. One of them ending up within 2cm of growing out of the light and I had to put in some effort into moving 100W LED to the side of the grow-room to be able to reach the whole plant, then twist the plant ~45degrees each day to prevent parts of the plants from too much shade. I'll do few more runs, no problem --I love this sweet & piney grape-tasting-strain with hints of blueberris as the vape nearing the end of the session; magnificent!!! :)
