Amazone27 During my last grow, an unexpected plant came to life in my pot, which I initially thought was a dead seed, and I cared for it alongside my 3 autos. When the autos started to flower and nothing happened with this one, I put it in a 12-hour tent and practically forgot about it. After three weeks, the flower showed up, and it was male, and the exhaust system fertilized all the autos. So, I collected the seeds and tested them for viability. The dumb seed was a regular seed that had accidentally made its way into the sale.

Amazone27 Since I have a lot of germinated seeds, I will now test the growth and leaf formation of the plants in rock wool, soil, coconut, peat, Jeffy, and hydro for 3 weeks. After that, I'll select three to bring to flowering, and the rest will go away. Rock wool and Jeffy are currently doing the best. In hydro, the plants have long, straight but thin stems. New pictures on the 3rd day of the 1st week. In hydro, the plant is very advanced compared to the ones in soil. At the beginning, I used an ultrasonic mist maker and a homemade 15 W LED light that runs 24 hours, and the roots are already reaching into the water. The LED has 10,000 K blue and 3500 Kelvin warm white light, which stimulates growth.

Amazone27 So at the end of 1 week, tomorrow marks the beginning of the 2nd week and 12 days since I put them to germinate. The LED light has worked wonders with the hydro system. Many rely on the manufacturer's fertilizer and are happy with the dosage, and then suddenly there are nutrient burns or deficiencies. I'm going to mix my own soil with what the plant needs: sulfur, magnesium, iron, potassium, nitrogen, sodium, and I'll add horse and sheep pellets. I would have liked to have chicken manure too, but I haven't found a supplier for that yet. As soon as I transplant, I'll add some mycorrhizal fungi and mix it with water and algal bloom for watering. Everything will go into a 40-liter fabric sack. That's the plan 😁😎

Amazone27 so end of week 2. I have now repotted from the big pot into many smaller pots. The plant in hydro is doing the best and spreading out nicely. The ones in coco are looking the best in height and development. The ones in soil are small but also well developed. In peat pots and Jiffy they look the same and come in 3rd place after hydro and coco. Lastly comes rock wool, where the plant shoots up with a thin stem and shows slight nutrient deficiencies. The choice is made: 2 x coco pots and 1 x Jiffy. Next week, the repotted plants will be shown.

Amazone27 So at the beginning of week 4, 26 days after I gave it to germinate. I mixed bags with different types of nutrients and potted my 3 plants, then my homemade 10-watt LED light was on for 24 hours. Additionally, there's an automatic watering system that currently gives 30 seconds of water every day.

Amazone27 I’ve now topped all of them and turned off the automatic watering system. It turns out that the plants have been overwatered, and the over-fertilization is showing too. I hope it will balance out later. One plant is developing very well. Next week, I will set the main light back up and switch to a 16/24 hour setting.

Amazone27 I can write off 2 plants, on September 10th I put three new ones to germinate. I will replace the 2 that are dying. The 3 ladies are now 40 days old since they started germinating and are entering week 6. This week is important to see if they will automatically go into flowering or if they will take longer. The light is now 80 watts for veg and 10 watts for flowering with a 16/8 schedule. Furthermore, I was able to test the new Qelltabs from Temu.

Amazone27 Today a bit later. Since I couldn't see any flowering, I switched to 12 hours. I planted the new plants, and they are now in their 2nd week. I turned the watering back on because I noticed the soil was very dry when I was potting; the meter tricked me.

Amazone27 I've been thinking about quitting here now. The pre-fertilized soil is just death for the plants and stunts their growth. I'll start over again with a new diary.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it recovers. Sometimes recovery takes longer than starting over, but I know what it's like when you really want to save it.😉

@Stony_German, Thanks, I wanted to test how it works with fertilized soil and automatic watering. One of the plants is doing quite well already, and the next one has shown good leaves. Since they are cuttings from Milky Way, the test is whether it will start flowering after 6 weeks.
