LoccoMotive Side Project First Balcony Grow 2x Gorilla Auto from 420Fastbuds 2x 12l fabric pots with mineral Floragard soil. Unfortunately, our balcony is only a suboptimal location for cannabis cultivation. There is hardly any direct sunlight. Still, it's the only place where I can work with sunlight. Accordingly, my expectations were quite low. It had to be cat-proof, hence the mini greenhouse (60x40x160cm). I installed a kind of exhaust system to at least allow the air to circulate. There was still heat buildup. Up to 42° was not uncommon. Additionally, my focus was more on indoor growing. That's why I wanted to see what happens if I invest absolutely no time other than watering during the grow. There will be no training, no pre-growing, no fertilizing, or anything else done here. And so my little experiment called: Zero Maintenance Grow came to be. Despite various uninvited guests, like thrips, garden bugs, spiders, and more, they made it to the finish line. Not much came of it. But that wasn't the primary goal. But it was nice nonetheless. Looking back, an indoor pre-cultivation would have definitely been appropriate. Next year, I will definitely do a few things differently/better. It was really fun to see what happens when you just let it run.

Great experiment. Considering the ciurcumstances, getting any harvest at all is a bonus. The point of this grow was to learn, and I am absolutely sure you will have gained much knowledge. Please message me next year when you start your follow up project on the balcony. Have you thought about adding some small supplemental lighting to the balcony?

@UnorthadoxDude, Thanks for the kind words. I've gained valuable experience. I've gotten a good sense of what's possible on an unfavorable balcony in Germany. The result was quite sobering, so I don't know if I'll do it this way again. Maybe I'll pass the setup on to someone who can use it and make the most of it in a better location.
the end.
