First Auto's?

My First Auto’s Hello my friends, it’s Meus here to give you an update, It’s day 82 and these girls have been flowering for about 3 weeks. I’m trying out something new by growing these auto’s. Though I’m excited to talk about the positives I want to mention a few things that piqued my concern. 50 Percent Failure Rate I ordered 13 beans from GCS, 5 Gorilla Glue, 5 Sour Kush, and 3 Northern Lights. I started the germination process with 9 beans and followed the recommended germination guide (which I used on previous seeds from GCS and had 100% success rates). What was interesting is that I lost 1-2 per strain. I didn’t ask GCS for a replacement since I had previously received replacements for their Blueberry strain. I felt that I might be in the position of being seen as taking advantage of their germination replacement policy so I decided not to pursue that option. Mutations? There are weird mutations that are present primarily isolated to leaf structure and development. Extra smaller appendages accompanied by missing leaves such and having 4 or 6 fingers instead of an odd number like 5, 7, or 9. I’m not sure if this is due to their nature as Auto’s but this is something observed in the past 6 weeks. I’ll make sure to catalog the mutations over these coming weeks, in case more present themselves. Slow Growth Rate These girls have been growing since January 23rd, they just started flower 2-3 weeks ago. I’m not sure why I’m experiencing this, it’s been 82 days and they’re still young. This is a long time for auto’s from what I’ve seen and heard. This late bloomer syndrome caused problems since I ran out of my last crop almost 2 months ago. I can’t afford to purchase $300.00+ ounces. Fortunately I kept my 1st gen clones of Mazar and Super Silver Haze in case the auto’s had an issue or I made a mistake with their feedings. I now have medicine and don’t have to stress about these autos, I only hope I don't have more issues. Final Thoughts These girls look healthy and seem to enjoy their environment. I will contact GCS about these mutations and the slow growth rate now that I have more photos, and descriptions to offer them. Aside from that, I can only wait to see what the future holds for these girls. Thanks for your love and support my friends. I’m behind on updating the Grow Diaries Discord, hard week.
