GothBotanical On August 10, 2025, I began germination for Nice Cream Auto (Mephisto Genetics) and Tiger No. 2 Auto (Tiger Autoflower) by soaking each seed overnight in a mixture of RO water and a small amount of hydrogen peroxide to help soften the seed shell and reduce the risk of pathogens.
The next morning, seeds were transferred to the paper towel method on top of a Wi-Fi router for gentle bottom heat. They were wrapped in moist paper towels inside labeled plastic bags, with small glass cups of RO water placed above to help maintain humidity.
By August 11, 2025, both seeds had successfully sprouted and were planted directly into their final pots — Nice Cream Auto into a 5-gallon fabric pot and Tiger No. 2 Auto into a 3-gallon fabric pot — both filled with Coast of Maine Stonington Blend amended with perlite. Each pot already had an established living ground cover of clover and thyme, started earlier to help protect the soil, regulate temperature, and support beneficial soil life.
Nice Cream was above soil by August 12th and I am still waiting for Tiger #2 to breach the soil. It had a shorter tail when it was put in so hopefully its just taking its time.
For the first 2–3 weeks, both plants will be kept in the grow tent under controlled conditions before moving outside for the remainder of the grow. All initial watering was done exclusively with RO water to provide a clean, neutral base for early development.
