IslandTerps Strain: Inhouse Genetics – Bananacane
Grow Type: Indoor
Pot Size: Solo Cup
Medium: Peat Moss & Perlite
Nutrient Line: Athena
Week 1 – Germination & Seedling Stage
The seed germinated in water within 24 hours. It was then transferred to a paper towel, misted, and placed in a lightly misted zip-lock bag kept in a dark, cool area. After another 24 hours, the taproot developed further and the seed was placed into soil in a solo cup.
Currently feeding a diluted Athena mix at 50–100 ml. Plant is settling in well.

Week 1 – Transplant & Root Development
This week, I transplanted her from the solo cup into a 1-gallon pot. Applied Mykos WP thoroughly on her roots and in the transplant hole, then fed her with Athena nutrients. She’s growing, but slowly. Looking forward to strong root development in the coming weeks before moving her to either a 3- or 5-gallon pot.

Week 2 Update
She’s growing steadily this week, with no signs of deficiencies and taking in her feedings nicely. Stems are starting to thicken up, and she’s looking stronger each day. Topping is an option soon, depending on how she continues to develop over the coming week.
Feeding
500 ml Athena nutrient mix.

Week 3 Update
Her roots looked amazing at transplant Mykos WP really did its thing! She was moved into a 3-gallon pot and topped this week.
The canopy is shaping up beautifully, and I’ve started training her for 6 mains. Feeding has been increased to 1200 ml of Athena, and I’ll keep raising gradually as needed.
Overall she looks amazing, and I’m really excited to train her out and see how she performs.
Feeding
1200 ml Athena nutrient mix (will increase gradually if needed).

Week 4 Update
Her branches stretched out nicely this week, and I was able to do a little defoliation along with tying down more stems.
She’s starting to open up well, and I’m hoping that by next week her structure will really be taking shape the way I’m aiming for. Growth has been solid overall, and she continues to respond well to training.
Feeding
1.7 L Athena nutrient mix (will increase gradually if needed).

Week 5 Update
She’s been growing really well this week, showing healthy and vigorous development. Training has gone smoothly, and her structure looks amazing exactly the shape I’ve been aiming for.
From here, it’s just about maintaining her form, doing some light defoliation where needed, and getting her ready for the flip to 12/12. She’s taking nutrients perfectly and showing no signs of stress or deficiencies.
Feeding
1.7 L Athena nutrient mix (will increase gradually if needed).
