SpaceCadet3000 Mixed roughly 50L of soil split between 5 fabric pots. Soaked seeds in Great White myco solution for 20 minutes before planting into seed holes lightly dusted with more myco. Covered by pinching soil together and gently patting down. Poured over the small amount of myco solution and a couple of sprays of plain water before creating my makeshift propagator. Plants were a bit stretchy last time, so instead of starting the light at 30" distance and lowering to 24" by the start of veg, I'm just starting out at 24", still following manufacturer instructions of running the light at 50% power.

SpaceCadet3000 Veg started 23/09. Light power is at ~75%. Less stretching than the photo grow, but I won't know if that's cos the light is closer until I grow sundae driver again. The centre of the soil was still moist, but its been a few days, so I watered 200ml of plain water around the outside of each pot. I'll let the whole top of the soil get dry before I water again, but I'll keep using the spray bottle. They'll get a weak aloe foliar once this week, before they go to bed, as soon as all the leaves are straightened out and growing steadily.

SpaceCadet3000 Day 1: Plain water. A little around the base of the plant, mostly in the middle of the pot. Stems are still a bit spindly so I've raised the light to 80% power. Day 2: Foliar drench of 0.1g/L aloe powder, 0.2g/L soap nut powder, 0.1g/L licorice powder plus 6 drops of essential oils (peppermint and rosemary), dispensed in a fine mist with a garden sprayer. Soil looked quite dry but I have lots of feed to add this week and don't want to flood them, so I'm going to leave it another day. Day 3: Very dry this morning. Each pot got 500ml of water. The Royal Queen #1 at the back was much dryer than the rest, so it got an extra 400ml, mostly close to the outside of the pot. Started sprouting a batch of seeds this morning for Saturday's feed. Day 4: Mixed a solution of 0.3g/L soapnut powder, 0.25g/L RQS seaweed powder and 5ml/L corn steep liquor and fed roughly 600ml to each pot - two quick passes over the top of the soil. Seeds were sprouted tonight so I blended them in 500ml of water and left the mixture in the fridge overnight. Day 5: Strained my sprouted seed mixture and fed to each plant in equal parts - I don't want to water them today so all they are getting is a 100ml dose of sprouted seeds. Lots more fungus gnats than last time, and much earlier. It could be because I mixed the soil on my balcony, but I'm guessing they came from the added worm castings I got from indoor organics. Still got a little castings left, so I'm going to pot it and keep it watered, to see if it's obviously the source. Day 6: I want to encourage feeder roots today, maybe watered too much earlier in the week. Mixed roughly 0.2g/L epsom salt, 0.1g/L shilajit resin and 0.5g/L beetroot powder and gave each pot a light watering - around 400ml each. Day 7: one of the plants that germinated fastest has quite a woody stem. I wanted to wait until the soil was dryer to start training, but I've bent over 3 of them using tent pegs and will bend the remaining two once the 3rd node is more established. Applied a foliar in the evening of 0.1g/L aloe powder, 0.05g/L licorice powder and 0.1g/L soapnut powder with 2 drops/L of peppermint oil (mix dry ingredients with 100ml warm water and they'll act as emulsifiers when mixing the oil).

SpaceCadet3000 Day 1: Pinned down the other 2 plants. Top dressed with Epsom salt, shilajit resin and beetroot powder in about 200ml water per pot. Day 2: top dressed with toasted sprouted seeds, about 1 Tbsp per pot. Also gave them a foliar later in the evening with the following ingredients: 0.3 g Epsom salt 0.25 g beetroot powder 0.05 g shilajit resin 0.1 g soapnut powder 0.05 g aloe powder 0.05 g licorice powder 500 mL filtered water Increased light to ~85% power. Day 3: top layer of soil is dry, but still damp right under the surface so they won't get any water today. Forgot I was supposed to be lowering the light so I dropped it to 18" today and raised the power to 90%. Day 4: Fed plants with 0.25g/L seaweed powder, 10ml/L corn steep liquor and 0.2g/L soapnut powder. Lighter green new growth now looks dark and healthy. Assuming they needed more light to uptake something, so I've turned up the light to 100%. Will lower it in the morning if they don't look happier than today. Loads of fungus gnats on the yellow stickys just in one pot, a few in each of the others. Maybe an initial rush, instead of an infestation. I haven't seen more than 2 or 3 flying at once, so I'm not worried yet. Hopefully there are beneficials in the castings to make up for it.
