Living Soil - Secret Kush Cross grow journal by Terp

Terp_Djiny I bought the seeds of this Secret Kush Cross at the Mary Jane fair in Berlin. Now I've gotten around to planting them. After a few days in a damp kitchen towel, 3 out of 4 seeds have germinated. I then planted them directly into their 45L Living Soil pots. Unfortunately, one seedling seems to have lost its life due to trapped cotyledons. The other died from an air cut at the root. That leaves one seedling, which has been developing quite well so far.

Terp_Djiny Right at the start of the week, I topped the plant. Towards the end, I also cut out the large sun leaves. I keep the soil moisture consistently around 60-70 mbar.

Terp_Djiny I defoliated the plant in the middle of the week and tightened new ropes to keep the lower branches down. On the main branches, I also removed the shoots that had grown upwards/downwards at every second node. After that, I cut the cover crop close to the ground and mixed in some additives into the top layer of soil. After mixing, I laid the cut cover crop back down as a mulch layer.

Terp_Djiny The plant was defoliated again in the middle of the week. I added the cut leaves and straw to the mulch layer. Throughout the week, I kept watering with plain water and by the weekend, I added a bit of FPE to the watering can. Now it’s time to just watch the plant grow.

Terp_Djiny The week went very well. I keep the soil moisture in a range of 80-110mbar through regular watering. To better distribute the light to all the shoots, I cut out a few more sun sails. The cut leaves have been placed on top of the mulch layer. The first sugar leaves are already well covered with trichomes. I hope it continues like this. On the weekend, I added a bit of FPE to the watering. Otherwise, just clear water.

Die anfänglichen Probleme mit den Seeds scheinen von der harten Samenschale zu kommen. Der Breeder hat mir geraten diese im Wasserglas Keimen zu lassen. Ansonsten ist die Pflanze die es geschafft hat sehr schön gewachsen und hat harte mit Trichomen überzogene Buds ausgebildet. In den untersten Buds haben sich ein zwei Pollensäcke gebildet die aber nicht für größere Schäden gesorgt haben.

Terp_Djiny In the last week, the trichomes have ripened nicely. With about 80/20 milky to amber, I harvested the buds. In the last few days, I've only been watering.
