Transplanted these clones 2 days before the pictures. Running these on a hlg 100 v2 led grow light in a vivosun 33" x 20" x 60" grow tent. Gonna have them veg in this tent for maybe 6 weeks before switching them over to the flowering tent. I've heard great things about Dark Heart Nursery and originally wanted napali pink. Ended up getting napali pink a few days after the other ones.
Little chilly at night. Plants grew well, did a little snipping. Ended up moving the napali pink out of the tent. These girls easily filled this little setup.
I love these girls, really great looking bushes. Unfortunately, they outgrew their space, they can only grow vertical now. And soon, they'll outgrow that. Probably by the end of this week. We wanted to keep them in veg for a few more weeks, but if they grow too fast, then we'll just have to put them in flowering earlier. Still eager to see em grow, so far no problems with this grow.
Our Black Jack was suffering from some burning in the leaves, we think it might be a lack of magnesium but we did let medium get dry a bit so that also could of been a reason. We also added a scrog net and pushed down on the branches so they can stretch sideways and support the weight that is yet to come. And now that the scrog net is up, they are entering the first day of flowering.
The week got colder than what we'd like. Seems like the nutrient deficiency for blackjack stabilized. There is no new damage and the leaves didn't get worse. Can't wait to see these girls in full bloom
Plants are growing great for second week of flower. Should only have another week to stretch before starting those buds. We'd be fine if these girls didn't decide to stretch any further, these girls are huge for only vegging for five weeks. The black jack is also experiencing nutrient deficiency. But it's not one we are familiar with. This is our second time getting this type of deficiency.
Looks like iron excess. Are you using tap water? It might be kind of hard. The other thing that comes to mind is a minor element lockout due to P or K excess.
Running a lil late on updating, it was a very busy weekend.
Summer is starting to approach and we can definitely feel it. It hit 100 degrees outside for the first time this year. We plan to do something about that heat since its not ideal for these plants.
Other than that, I hope these girls are done stretching, we cannot hang the lights any higher. They are around 4 feet tall, some branches are taller at 50 or 51 inches, really impressed by their stretch.
We also went to our local hydroponics store and talked to someone about the hard water situation. Everyone says just to let the water naturally air out for around 24 hours. Slightly inconvenient but definitely worth giving it a shot if it grows some better tree.
