Lowbuds ๐ Divine Seeds Black Opium Auto โ Full Moon Germination ๐ฑ
Competition: Divine Seeds 2025 Global Autoflowering Competition Vol. 2
Method: Budget micro-grow, small space experiment (80ร40 cm)
โธป
๐ฑ Germination โ 05.10.2025
Started germination today under the Full Moon โ good timing for strong roots and steady growth ๐
The seed is resting between two plates with moist paper towel, sprayed lightly with water + a touch of HโOโ to keep it clean and oxygenated, sitting in a warm place on top of the lamps.
This will be my second Divine Seeds entry, following Divine Rapier Auto.
Keeping the same cheap, simple setup under QP-50 full-spectrum lamps, but making a few key tweaks this round:
โธป
โ๏ธ Setup & Goals
โข Tent: 80ร40 cm
โข Light: 2ร QP-50 full spectrum panels
โข Pot: 10L fabric pot (smaller than last run to fit one extra plant)
โข Medium: Living soil (Terra Victoria) โ first time trying a biologically active substrate
โข Watering: New automatic drip irrigation system (experimental, fully budget-friendly)
โข Nutrients: Minimal feeding โ mainly relying on soil biology + teas if needed
โข Training: Still deciding โ possibly light LST if structure allows
โข Goal: Showcase a compact, efficient autoflower in a living soil setup, grown on a tight budget
โธป
๐ง Notes & Intent
Black Opium Auto seems like a mysterious, indica-leaning cultivar with some serious bag appeal potential.
Iโm curious to see how it behaves in a smaller pot and living medium โ this run will be all about balance, sustainability, and simplicity.
Letโs see how she responds to moon energy, microbes, and the new drip setup ๐๐ง
Update 07.10.2025 Seed has sprouted, sheโs going in soil today or tomorrow

Lowbuds ๐ฑ Week 1 โ Black Opium Auto (Divine Seeds)
The Black Opium Auto seed popped through the soil this week ๐
A small, steady sprout โ about 2โ3 cm tall โ quietly settling into the Terra Victoria living soil.
She came up smooth after the HโOโ-assisted germination, showing a pale, healthy green and no signs of stress.
Iโve just been keeping the top layer slightly moist with a fine spray and testing the automatic drip system for the first time โ only a few drops to check flow.
No real feeding planned; the living soil should handle the first stage on its own.
This run follows the same simple setup as the Divine Rapier Auto, just scaled down to a 10 L pot to make room for another plant beside it.
So far, everything feels calm and balanced โ the seedling is responding well to gentle light and stable conditions.
Started this one right under the Full Moon, and the vibe fits: quiet, rooted energy.
Next week should bring the first set of true leaves and the start of some real personality. ๐ฑ

Lowbuds ๐ฟ Week 2 โ Black Opium Auto (Divine Seeds)
Week two, and sheโs showing real promise already.
The second set of leaves is pushing through nicely, with tight spacing and no unnecessary stretch โ just a sturdy little frame forming. The stem looks strong and confident, holding itself upright without support.
Iโm keeping things simple: a light daily spray of plain water to keep the topsoil alive while the deeper layers finish โcooking.โ The Terra Victoria living soil is doing its thing โ slow, steady biological activation.
No nutrients, no additives, no interference โ just letting nature balance itself out.
The automatic drip system stays off for now until roots explore a bit more. Environmentโs stable, light distance feels right, and the overall vibe is calm.
So far, Black Opium Auto seems grounded, focused, and ready to build momentum. If she keeps this pace, next week should bring the first signs of structure and character. ๐ฑ

Steady growth this week.
The second set of true leaves is now open and reaching out, and sheโs sitting around 10โ12 cm tall โ compact, balanced, and well-structured. The stem remains thick and sturdy, with no stretch or stress showing.
Iโm still not watering yet, since the living soil stays evenly moist and active. Just a light daily mist on the surface to keep the microbes awake and prevent the top layer from drying out. The roots are clearly expanding on their own rhythm, so Iโm letting the soil do the work.
Light intensity and spacing feel dialed in โ no leaf curl, no signs of hunger, just healthy green growth. The Terra Victoria mix seems to be carrying the seedling perfectly so far.
Overall, a calm and balanced week.
Sheโs taking her time but building a solid foundation โ quiet progress, just how I like it. ๐ฑ

Week 4 and sheโs still growing with that same calm, controlled energy.
The third node is in, fourth on the way, and the structure is staying compact with a solid central stem. No stretch, no stress โ just a healthy young plant taking her time to root in properly.
Still no real watering yet โ the Terra Victoria living soil is holding moisture beautifully. Iโm only misting the top layer when it looks dry, letting the biology take the lead instead of the bottle.
The pot is finally starting to feel lighter, so the first real watering + drip test is coming soon.
Color is a clean medium green, leaf posture is relaxed, and thereโs no sign of deficiency or burn.
The 10L pot looks like a good choice so far โ enough room to build, but small enough to keep control in the 80ร40 space.
No training yet, but Iโm watching the growth pattern.
If she keeps a single strong top, Iโll just guide the side branches out slightly and leave it at that.
So far: minimal work, zero issues, smooth week. ๐ฑ

Lowbuds ๐ฟ Week 5 โ Black Opium Auto (Divine Seeds)
Black Opium Auto is moving into her stride.
Color is rich and even, the leaves are wide and healthy with that deep, lively green that shows the living soil is doing its job. Growth has been steady, no issues โ just quiet, balanced progress.
Sheโs keeping a nice compact shape with solid internode spacing. The main stem is thickening up now, and the new growth in the center looks clean and strong. No signs of stress, no tip burn, no fuss.
Iโm still holding off on full watering โ the Terra Victoria mix is staying perfectly moist, so I only spray the top when it starts to dry out. The soil life seems active and stable, no smells or algae, just that earthy tone that says things are balanced below the surface.
Lights are steady, environment calm. Sheโs starting to show the confidence of a plant ready to build mass.
If she keeps this pace, pre-flower should start showing soon.
So far: zero problems, nice color, healthy rhythm. ๐ฑ

Still no pistils this week, but sheโs clearly building up for the shift.
Growth is compact and controlled โ a sturdy little structure with tight internodes and a nice amount of fresh growth stacking in the middle. The main stem has thickened up well, and she looks ready for shaping.
Color is spot-on: healthy, even green, no stress signs anywhere.
The Terra Victoria living soil continues to stay naturally damp, so Iโm still not doing much watering. Up to now sheโs been using about 1 liter of water per week total, mainly through very light top-ups and surface spraying. The pot stays evenly moist deeper down, so no need to drench anything yet.
Iโll be starting LST soon โ just a gentle bend on the main stem to open her up and push the side branches outward. With how compact she is right now, a small adjustment should make a big difference in shape.
Overall: stable, healthy, compact, and getting close to that pre-flower moment.
Probably just a little more veg stacking before pistils show.
Next week should be interesting. ๐ฑโจ

Still no pistils and no stretch this week โ she continues to stay super compact and squat, exactly like she has since early veg. The structure is dense and tight, but sheโs looking very healthy: deep green leaves, zero stress, zero drama. ๐
Iโve now started LST by gently bending the main as she grows. Since she stayed so low, the bending helps open her up and let some light into the inner growth. Sheโs reacting beautifully โ no resistance, no droop, just steady progress. ๐ช๐ฟ
Watering remains minimal: around 1L per week, as the living soil stays damp for days. No need to increase yet.
Overall: healthy, vigorous, squat little tank โ just taking her sweet time before showing pistils. ๐๐ฅ

This week I finally started proper LST, gently bending the main stem to open her up and keep that squat structure productive. She reacts super well โ no stress, no droop, just a stronger, wider frame. ๐ช๐ฟ
Andโฆ first hint of a pistil spotted! ๐โจ
Not a full declaration yet, but the very first white hair is peeking out. After weeks of veg mode, sheโs clearly warming up for the transition. Exciting times ahead.
Watering still low โ around 1L per week, soil stays consistently moist so thereโs no need to push it.
Strong, healthy, compact, and now finally showing the first sign of flower ๐๐ธ

Lowbuds Week 9 โ Black Opium Auto ๐ฑโจ
This week she officially entered pre-flower! Pistils are starting to pop and thereโs finally a bit of stretch after staying compact for so long. The structure is opening up nicely thanks to the earlier LST โ sheโs still low and controlled but clearly shifting into bloom mode now. ๐ธ๐
I did notice a small trace of mildew, probably from keeping the windows open for fresh air ๐ ๐ฌ๏ธ
Handled it right away: a light HโOโ treatment on the affected spots and added a bit of PowerZyme to the water to support the root zone and keep everything clean. So far she looks totally unbothered and perfectly healthy again. ๐๐ง
Watering stays minimal as the soil still holds moisture well. Growth is steady, color is great, and the first white hairs are officially in motion.
Big thanks to Divine Seeds for these surprisingly resilient genetics! ๐๐ฅ๐ฑ

Lowbuds Week 10 โ Black Opium Auto ๐ฑ๐ฅ
Stretching is fully on now ๐ and sheโs clearly committing to flower. Pistils are coming in nicely, tops are lifting, and the structure shaped earlier with LST is paying off โ sheโs opening up well despite the tight space.
It is getting a bit overcrowded at the moment ๐ ๐ฟ
The bigger plant on the left is about a week late before freeing up the space, so airflow isnโt ideal right now. Because of that, Iโm still seeing some light traces of mildew on the lower leaves.
Sheโs otherwise developing really well, so Iโm not worried โ Iโll be doing a more radical garlic spray treatment over the next few days to fully clean things up and reset the lower canopy.
Color and vigor are still solid, stretch looks healthy, and sheโs handling the situation well given the conditions. Once the space opens up, things should improve quickly.

Lowbuds Week 11 โ Black Opium Auto ๐ฟ๐ฅ
Big step forward this week โ sheโs finally moved into a larger space and now running under two lamps, which should be much better suited for the bloom phase ๐ก๐ก
The plant looks happy overall, with good structure and steady flower development. Iโm seeing a bit of yellowing on the lower leaves, nothing alarming at this stage. To support her through this transition, Iโll be top-dressing with a small amount of worm humus to give the soil a gentle boost ๐ฑ
Watering has been increased to twice per week now, as sheโs drinking more and the environment is more open. Still keeping things simple and letting the soil do most of the work.
Really excited to see how she settles into bloom in this new setup ๐
๐ Special thanks to Divine Seeds for running the contest and sharing their genetics, and good luck to all participants โ today is the last day of the competition, may the best plants shine ๐๐ฟ

Lowbuds Week 12 โ Black Opium Auto ๐ฟโ ๏ธ
This update comes a bit late โ I was away on holidays for a few days ๐ ๐ด and when I got back, the soil was quite dry. As expected, that led to some yellowing and unfortunately the mildew has spread a bit more, especially on the lower parts.
Nothing dramatic, but definitely a reminder that consistency matters. The plan now is to give her a proper shower, followed by a garlic spray treatment to knock the mildew back and reset the canopy
From here on, Iโll make sure the soil stays evenly moist, and I may top-dress with some worm humus and living soil mix to help her recover and support the rest of flower.
Sheโs still pushing along and flowering is clearly underway โ just a rough patch caused by timing and dryness. Weโll see how she responds over the next days.
๐ Thanks again to Divine Seeds for the opportunity, and respect to everyone who kept their plants dialed in until the end ๐ฑ๐ฅ.

Lowbuds Week Update ๐ฟ
This week has been a bit more challenging. The plants still havenโt fully recovered: yellowing on the lower leaves is progressing, growth has clearly slowed down, and the mildew is unfortunately still present ๐๐.
Iโm at a bit of a crossroads right now. Iโm not sure whether the best move is to top dress with some living soil powder to help rebalance things naturally, or to step in with a more direct approach and add a bit of Green Sensation to support flowering and overall vigor. Iโll be making that call very soon and adapting as needed โ listening to the plants as always.
Despite the setbacks, Iโm staying patient and focused on steering them back on track. Growing is about learning, especially when things donโt go perfectly ๐ช๐ฑ
Big thanks once again to @DivineSeeds for the genetics and the opportunity to take part in this journey ๐
And good luck to all the other participants โ may your grows stay healthy and your harvests be rewarding ๐๐ฅ

Lowbuds Week Update โ Black Opium (Divine Seeds) ๐๐ฑ
This week things are still a bit rough, but it feels like theyโre slowly stabilising. The yellowing is still there, though it has slowed down, and mildew pressure seems reduced compared to last week ๐
I removed the dried and damaged leaves to improve airflow. Buds are still developing despite the stress, which is encouraging ๐ช๐ธ
Iโm clearly still learning and making some mistakes with living soil, especially in a small pot โ timing and balance really matter here ๐ฑ๐ง
Next step will be to add a light dose of Green Sensation with the next watering, just to support her through bloom without pushing too hard.
Big thanks to Divine Seeds for the genetics and the contest ๐ค๐ฑ
Good luck to all participants โ every run is a lesson.

Lowbuds Week update ๐ฑ (a bit late)
This week was a bit rough. Theyโre still losing quite a few leaves ๐ and it seems pretty clear that every time I add Green Sensation they react badly โ probably too much phosphorus for a living soil setup. Lesson learned ๐
They were doing noticeably better with enzymes, so Iโm going back to that and keeping things simpler. This run will continue as an experiment, but realistically it doesnโt look like there will be much yield this time. Still learning and making mistakes with living soil โ part of the process ๐

Sheโs more or less maintaining now and getting close to the end ๐ธ. With all the stress she went through, there wonโt be much to harvest, but Iโm still happy to see her making it this far.
Powdery mildew is unfortunately still trying to come back ๐, so this run has clearly shown me thereโs a lot of room for improvement with my living soil approach. Still, it was a really interesting test and full of lessons.
One positive: the strain shows good resistance to spider mites ๐ท๏ธ๐ช

Lowbuds Week Update ๐ธ
Sheโs slowly reaching the end, but itโs been a tough one. Mildew is very present and a lot of leaves are dried and burned now. Probably another week left before chop.
With the stress sheโs had, there wonโt be much to harvest, and Iโm not even sure it will be safe to smoke โ Iโll likely turn most of it into some hash.
This run was a real learning experience with living soil and watering. I can clearly see the mistakes and thereโs a lot of room for improvement next round. Still happy to push it through and learn from it ๐
Big thanks to Divine Seeds for the opportunity ๐
