Not much to comment on this week.
Outside temperatures have been getting warmer. Daytime tent temps are around 81-82F. I currently have the "lights on" schedule set from 5pm to 12pm to try and avoid having the lights on during the hottest part of the day.
"FD-1 (Shorty)" is the only Freedom Dream girl left in the tent. "FD-2 (Tall Girl)" is in a south facing window and is actually looking pretty decent, considering the lack of attention she's getting.
Day 47:
- Finally transplanted "FD-1 (Shorty)" into a slightly larger pot. She was extremely root-bound.
- Used straight Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil with 5-10% perlite and approximately 5 tbsp of Gaia Green Bloom 2-8-4 dry amendment fertilizer.
- Watered with 6.4pH-adjusted standing tap water
Day 48:
- No water
Day 49:
- Transplanted "FD-2 (Tall Girl)" into 5 gallon fabric pot. This plant was moved to a south facing window in my living room.
- Used straight Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil with 5-10% perlite and approximately 5 tbsp of Gaia Green Bloom 2-8-4 dry amendment fertilizer.
- Watered with Remo Nutrients flowering cycle combination.
@CoastGrower,
Thanks! Unfortunately, this particular grow won't likely make it through to any sort of harvest, as it was always intended to simply be a test grow to feel out the environment of my new tent and grow light but feel free to check out my "Early Miss" autoflower journal, which is my first "real" indoor grow and also includes a few lovely photos ;)

@planttracker, I was glad to have them as a test strain to get used to my new light & tent set up but not much worth to me as a harvest-able product.
They're also just nice to grow as a house-plant. Not too smelly and they seem pretty hardy.
I was surprised that they turned out to be autoflowers, it's not mentioned on the website but hey, 100 free seeds are gonna come with couple surprises i guess! π
@Puffer_Bill,
Thanks. These have been a great little test project for the new tent setup.
I know i'll have failures so my hope is that the detail in the comments will help others to help me! π β
@MovingOn, No, they were never intended to be grown through to harvest. I used them just as test subjects for the new grow setup. I kept them around in front of a sunny window for a while before chopping them and throwing the whole lot in my garden compost pile.
Hi @VanCplGrows and greetings from Burlington, ON Canada. I've noticed you've been experiencing some issues with some of your grows. I was also seeing similar issues with my plants. The hydroponics store owner in my area said it's usually a PH issue so I purchased a new Blue Lab tester and re-calibrate it every week but my grows were not getting any better. They were OK but could always look better. Growing is supposed to be fun and exciting yet I was feeling stressed cuz my plants always had issues. Last year a close grower friend of mine suggested using Holland Secrets full line by Future Harvest (Canadian company). I'm on to my 4th grow with Holland Secret and have no longer seen any deficiencies with my plants. My feed schedule is feed/feed/flush. I give a long flush after every 2 feedings and in the long run I save on nutrients. I do not work for this company nor am I affiliated in any way. I just came across your diaries and wanted to share my experience. π
Good Luck with your future grows and all the bestππ
