connormcleod47 ***UPDATE 10/12/25***
Started the germination process, all 4 should hopefully pop in the next 2 to 5 days, paper towel & ceramic plates with some bottled water!
Put a stem to the side of the plate so I don't lose track of which order they are in !
Strains are:
Grape Gorilla (Grapewalker Kush x Gorilla) - Butterbean Birdseed
Grape Tuna (Grape Gorilla x Tuna Kush) - Butterbean Birdseed
Wedding Cake (Wedding Cake x Wedding Cake) - Atlas Seed Co.
Gorilla Zkittlez (Original Glue x Original Z) - Fast Buds
Reamended 20gal of living soil with 200g of Black Swallow nutrient pack, it consists of alfalfa meal, kelp meal, crab meal, blood meal, fish bone meal, feather meal, dead soldier fly frass, gypsum, soft rock phosphate, oyster shell flour, wollastonite rock dust, volcanophos rock dust and basalt!
Will be running Cronks PUUR Organics alongside their Monkey Juice & Armadillo Armor, I also have some Great White Myco, Fish Head Farms Fish Sh!t, Blackstrap Molasses & a compost trio this time around which I can use during flower, it consists of Worm Castings, Leaf Compost & Fish Compost! Will be mulching my cover crop this time around as well, it is made up of Buckwheat, Alfalfa, Clover, Lentil & Fenugreek!
***UPDATE 10/15/25***
All 4 seeds have germinated successfully & I dropped them in the dirt towards the end of the night!
- Cleaned the 2x4 tent as well as all equipment
- Prinetd & laminated labels for each plant
- Added a tablespoon of Great White Myco to each pot & swished that around with my finger prior to dropping seeds in the dirt
- Gave each seedling 250ml of bottled water at a PH of 5.9
Checked PAR & hotspot is currently in around 320 uMOL which should be ok to start, I have the light set for 20/4 as well, is a bit dry/cold starting off & I will throw a humidifier in the tent as soon as the 1st plant has surfaced!
The Grape Gorilla seems to be well ahead of the other 3 seeds, will start week 1 veg as soon as all 4 plants are above soil!
***UPDATE 10/17/25***
The Grape Gorilla & Grape Tuna are now above soil!
Gave each plant 500ml of dechlorinated tap water at a PH of 6.0
Fired up the humidifier & should be able to climb towards 80% in the next couple of hours, shut the clip fan I have on the ballast off to boost temps a couple of degrees!
Still waiting on the Wedding Cake & Gorilla Zkittlez to surface before starting week 1 veg!
***UPDATE 10/19/25***
The Gorilla Zkittlez is now above soil! Still waiting on the Wedding Cake to surface before I start week 1 veg! Was thinking I would see that one before the Gorilla Zkittlez, did notice seed was a bit wonky when i dropped it in the dirt (it be the one 2nd from the right in the picture above), it had some sort of film from inside the shell stuck to the tail end of the tap root & seemed to have split the shell quite wide very early on, hopefully it still surfaces!
The Grape Gorilla & Grape Tuna seem to be doing well although I did not take pictures of them today, nice healthy green very early on which has me thinking I did not mix the soil too hot when I applied the nutrient pack as reamendment for this second run!
Temps & RH have been really good the past couple of days, am in between 23c - 25c while the light is on & 18c during lights off, have been able to maintain a steady RH of 70% throughout most of the day & it sits just below 85% at peak during lights off! They are once again on a 20/4 cycle which I don't think I mentioned prior :P
***UPDATE 10/21/25***
Gave each plant 500ml of dechlorinated tap water mixed with 1ml/L Monkey Juice & 1ml/L Fish Sh!t at a PH of 6.3
Temps & RH were on point today !

connormcleod47 ***UPDATE 10/22/25***
Plants responded well to yesterdays watering!
The Wedding Cake was taking a long time to surface & I ended up digging through the soil to find it yesterday, looked to be in rough shape & I wasn't sure if it would make it but am seeing major improvements on a second check throughout the day today, should still go just fine! Thinking it must be the Great White Myco causing these issues & I will probably wait until seedlings surface before applying in the future, had the same problem with a couple of photoperiods last run!
Temps & RH were both a little bit low throughout the day today while the light is at 25%, humidity still tends to sit around 70% while the door is closed & 22c is looking like the average temp for now! Will see what I can do to raise the pair of these over the next couple of days!
***UPDATE 10/24/25***
So far so good! Was able to maintain 23c/75% RH throughout the day & night yesterday, humidifier could have used a refill around noon today but I'm gonna wait until tomorrow morning to refill in hopes of a quicker dry back, currently sitting at 23c/62% RH & will be using the garden sprayer from here for a more even water distribution!
The Wedding Cake is still looking somewhat rough, can see a small amount of growth & improvement in between days 1 & 3, should straighten up in the next couple of days hopefully!
***UPDATE 10/26/25***
Gave each plant 500ml of dechlorinated tap water mixed with 1ml/L Monkey Juice & 1ml/L Fish Sh!t at a PH of 6.2 shortly after taking photos today!
The Wedding Cake hasn't shown any improvement over the last couple of days, being an autoflower I'm thinking I may pluck it & start a new one to ensure I end up with a decent end product even if it ends up a little behind, will see what it is looking like on day 7 & make a decision then!
Temps are a bit low & also kept RH low for a quicker dry back
***UPDATE 10/28/25***
The Wedding Cake is showing little to no signs of improvement so I decided to germinate a second one using ceramic plates/paper towel with some bottled water, will replace the current one once the seed has germinated!
Temps were good throughout the day today, kept RH low again for a quicker dry back, will get some cover crop + hay in the pots the next time the plants need water :P

connormcleod47 ***UPDATE 10/29/25***
1st day of week 2 & I'm thinking the soil could be a little hot when I look at the Grape Tuna & Gorilla Zkittlez, will probably use less reamendments in the future whenever I go to start a new run!
Gonna keep the Current Wedding Cake as a placeholder up until the replacement seed germinates, I don't think soil is to blame in this case, when I go back on the germination tab the original seed was much larger than the others & there was some sort of membrane stuck to the tail end of the tap root, am assuming this is why I ran into issues...
Watering day tomorrow, will lay down some cover crop/hay, may also raise the light & bump fan intensity to strengthen the plants, should be able to raise temps a couple of degrees while the light is at 50% as well!
Temps were good throughout the day today & RH averaged 65%
***UPDATE 10/30/25***
Gave each plant 1L of dechlorinated tap water mixed with 1ml/L Monkey Juice & 1ml/L Fish Sh!t at a PH of 6.1
Layed down some cover crop/hay prior to watering, increased fan intensity but decided to leave the light at 25% instead of raising & bumping up to 50%, did not water the Wedding Cake as it will be getting plucked & replaced in a day or two
Temps & RH were good throughout the day today!
