This week went well. Seeds sprouted in 2 days. Placed them into solo cups. Watered with calmaged R/O water for first week.
The LED used here for seedlings is actually a 50watt.
This week was interesting because I ran into a problem. New at growing in coco or cannabis for that matter so I had no idea what was happening. I thought they needed to be transplanted. Check out week 3 for a solution.
So my plants looked so unhealthy. I did some research and found a good site for coco growers. I found out that I was feeding my plants 350ppm and the run off was over 700ppm!!! This means I was not watering frequently enough. So I flushed out the plants until the run off was lower than my feed. Slowly recovered from there. I think i understand coco now lol i hope...
This week went well. Lots of new growth after topping and trimming off some big fan leaves.
Problem: So I noticed the edges of the leaf margins have turned yellow, and the leaf tips are curling downward! (see photos) Some upper stems turning slightly purple, some leave curl and slightly droopy. Anyone have any ideas? I can't seem to diagnose it, but I think it could be either an issue with pH, potassium deficiency, magnesium deficiency. Really not sure. Any help?
I must say, after reviewing previous weeks photos, the problem looks almost exactly like what happened in week 2-3. I believe it was salt build-up, and they need to be transplanted. Anyone agree here?
Next week:
Final transplant
Install trellis
Flush?
