Finally after 5 days of drying I can finally share all my harvest pictures. Sour Gelato is a very interesting strain and I would definitely give it another go and probably let it veg out for an extra week or two. As my first photoperiod and my first truly success grow, I am very impressed by how easy she was to grow and the abundance of buds on her. The buds smell amazing, haha overpowering at times. It has a very sour smell with sweet undertones and I can't wait for her to finish curing. As for the smoke report, I sampled one of the smaller buds and I must say, it blew my mind. After a few bong hits while watching some cartoons and a few minutes of rushing thoughts, I found myself giggling like a kid and the smile on my face wouldn't go away. I felt so euphoric. I haven't experienced such a head high since my first few smoking experiences. It is unbelievably loud😄 The smoke is very creamy and surprisingly smooth for uncured weed (relatively). It is definitely a day strain and it has peaked my interest in sativa dominant strains. Even though they need a lot of patience, Sour Gelato😍 proved to me that sativa dominant strains are worth the wait. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good day time strain with time to spare😊

Overall I enjoyed this grow. I didn't have to intervene as much as I thought I would have to and the peeps here on GD are amazing, I was able to solve any issues that came up with the help of this amazing community and I appreciate all the help, I will definitely pay it forward as I learn more about growing. Keeping track of a grow using GD is absurdly easy and very helpful. I love being able to look back and see the whole journey. It makes me so sentimental. It's been awesome😌 growing your own herb is extremely satisfying and I am as happy about the growing experience as much as I am about the final product😊

It's been a week since I switched to flowering and new growth on the plant all has a yellow/lime green colour but this seems to go away when the leaves fully grow out and growth in general has not slowed down. Based on the pictures in my diary should I be concerned?

Sometimes the new growth is slightly light green but this looks like the start of a sulfur deficiency. If you have some red/purple streaks or strips running up your main stems that's a sure sign. Also the stems start getting hard or woody. It can happen if your ph is too high or your substrate ph is too high. Ideally in soil a ph between 5.8 to 6.5 is an acceptable range. You should check the ph of your runoff coming out of the pot to give you an idea of whats going on inside the pot. If what your putting in and coming out are in range you can supplement the deficiency with plain Epsom salt (Magnesium Sulfate) at 1 teaspoon per gallon of water. You should see improvement in 3-4 days. If not you can take an additional step and use the same mix as a foliage spray a couple of times a week. Be sure to get under the leaves where the stoma are located also. Try to do it at lights out so your lights don't magnify the water droplets and leave marks on your leaves. Good luck you'll be seeing green in no time.

Please help? All the leaves are getting discolored especially the bottom ones. The upper ones also appear discolored and she looks unwell overall. I gave her a flush on Day 78 and added bloom nutes but 4 days later (Day 81) and I am not seeing any improvements.

@Philindicus, Thank you Philindicus, much appreciated😁. Sulfur deficiency seems to be the problem, I will keep an eye on my Ph and try some Epsom salts if Ph is not the problem🙏

Dont worry so much. Youre gonna get some good weed. If youre guessing with nutrients try one thing at a time and always start with pH and water quality. If you grow soil just grow organic and ditch the nutrients and guessing. All I add is recharge bacteria, thats it. I have some great super soil compost suggestions if you want, just add water and re-ammend for 3 grows w the same soil.

@DET__PDX, It seems to be working great indeed. Your ladies look amazing. I used Freedom Farms living soil. Haha it's definitely packed in there, I can't imagine how it will look in a few weeks. Which recharge do you use and how often do you use it?

@Lord_Will, Honestly I just go to Amazon, I have used Nature’s Living Super Soil Concentrate mixed with FF ocean Forrest. I am now using Coast of Maine soil with great results and less work. Just dumped the bag in and water with recharge every grow. You can check my grow it’s 5 plants and too crowded I’ll do like 3 plants next time.

@DET__PDX, 😅Thanks man, it was my first time using super soil and I didn't make it myself. It's store bought but if you have a nice small scale recipe I would appreciate it. Overall I would say the soil was good but I will definitely add liquid organic nutes next time. I believe my biggest problem might be my water quality because it has a high Ph and even though I do Ph balance it with natural apple cider I do suspect that it might be too hard for the plant. I don't have the tools required to test the ppm of the water or filter it for now so I will make due with what I have. I might also try using store bought natural spring water next time. There is still much I want to test😊
