DutchBarnacle Day G0: let's go!
Consider this diary an experiment. I've chosen to grow this "S1" Amnesia Haze Automatic alongside the regular grow, in a small 4L pot. We're not aiming for yield, THC or terps. This plant will not receive light priority. We will, however, train her using the SCRoG method.
During the outdoor summer season we grew two Amnesia Haze Automatic. One of them provided about 5 seeds and it's unknown whether this was due to pollination or herming because of stress.
Given the fact that temperatures bounced between 15°C and 36°C, rainfall was unforgiving (local climate), and none of her companion plants produced any seeds, I reckon that we're looking at a stress induced hermaphrodite - Feminized and Autoflower. As such, I expect that cultivating one of these seeds in a controlled environment will unlikely lead to herming.
Day G4:
Well, the taproot is peeking out of the shell but she's definitely taking some time to fully germinate. I poked the seed which was still on the water surface and it sank to the bottom of the cup. Hence, it was time to plant her into the 4L pot. Nothing special, just a 1cm deep hole for the seed, watered her in and placed a humidity dome made from half a plastic bottle. She was moved to inside the tent because temperatures are slightly more comfortable compared to the outside.
Day G5:
Still waiting for her to pop above the soil. I did some careful digging and found the seed not too deep into the ground. It has definitely been progressing, just not towards the surface. While she's behind on schedule as compared to the previous two grows, I'm not worried because she was definitely planted earlier than those two.
Day G7:
Still nothing above the soil. Once again I did some careful digging and oh my! She's definitely trying to grow. I've removed the humidity dome and exposed her green. In the evening she seems to have discovered that there's a light she wants to grow towards.
Day G8 / Day 1 🎉 : 50ml tapwater
Aparently she had to shed her skin which was keeping her stuck in the ground. I carefully removed the seed skin and pryed open her cotyledons.
Since her ground was way too dry and the environment is currently around 24°C/50%RH I gave her back her personal greenhouse.
Day 2: 50ml tapwater
She's above ground and fully opened up. It'll take a few days for her to pick up speed.

While the mother plant is from RQS, I'm well aware that we cannot draw any specific conclusions about this grow - related to quality of RQS seeds - since we don't know what led to this 'S1'.
Irregardless, I'm looking forward to find out what this S1 is capable of especially in its rather small 4L pot.
