Nordgrow At the beginning of week 4, all were topped except for the latecomer, as he was already topped when he came into the world 😅 At the end of the week, all were repotted into 25-liter fabric pots.

Nordgrow The plants are developing very well. They were topped again to get 8 shoots. The nodes have become very thick, and the 2 smaller shoots were twisted to get the internodes horizontal. All plants were pulled apart with wire, and the lower, underdeveloped side shoots were removed. From now on, it's time for flowering 😁

Nordgrow All 3 lamps have been in operation since yesterday. The plants have made good progress in the first week. The latecomer is also slowly getting going, but the little phenotype hasn't made any jumps so far. Three phenotypes are recognizable. 1. The large ones with flat, jagged leaves and elongated, fast growth 2. The small one with similar but structurally different leaves, but more compact and slower growth 3. A large one that seems to be a mix of the small and large, but still stretches well and grows quickly.

Nordgrow The plants are now pushing up to 6cm in height daily. Meanwhile, the smaller pheno is also picking up speed and gaining a good amount of girth. The latecomer has been stretched out again and is developing quite well. I think it's going to be a good harvest :) I still really like the growth pattern of sativas the best :D

Nordgrow Everything is going very well. They're all still stretching. The little phenotype was defoliated a bit. There were signs of deficiencies, after which fertilizing was started. Additionally, there was an infestation of aphids on one plant, which was treated with neem oil.

Nordgrow The aphid problem is being solved by the neem oil and the friendly support of a ladybug that I brought inside to protect it from the cold. I discovered and removed a few nanners from one plant. The plant is now being checked regularly. Otherwise, everything has developed quite well. This week, the full nutrient program was given for the first time. Additionally, a bit of defoliation was done, and the plants were spread out a little more, and the box is now well filled. The pots are well-rooted. I especially liked the latecomer that has literally exploded (l. to r.)

Nordgrow The buds are increasing more and more, and the sea of flowers is getting more beautiful. Only one in the back left keeps stretching further and further and has no signs of bud formation except for some little hairs. Some are already starting to resin a bit, and the smell is typically sativa upon contact.

Nordgrow All the little hairs are still white, and the buds are practically exploding. Some of the plants are also producing a good amount of resin, forming a silver layer on the buds. When opening the box, you're almost overwhelmed by the strong smell of the finest Sativa. Only the plant in the back left keeps stretching more and more. I'm curious to see where this pheno will go.

Nordgrow Once a complete view of each individual plant. They have really grown powerful. The really big one had to be topped because it got too close to the lamp and burned at the top. The box now really stinks of Sativa 😅 The plants are very hungry, so the watering interval is being shortened to increase nutrient uptake a bit. So far, they have only been watered and fertilized once a week. From now on, it will be every 3 days.

Nordgrow The increase in nutrient supply through a more frequent watering cycle has really paid off. 3 of the plants are now showing signs of ripening, and many hairs are brown and the calyxes are swollen. 2 of these plants will be checked for the color of the trichomes at the end of the week. The plants smell incredibly strong.

Nordgrow 3 out of 5 have been flushed to prepare for the harvest. The trichomes are mostly milky with a few amber ones. These 3 will be harvested at the end of the week. I think the yield will be massive. The buds are denser than expected. The small phenotype and the really big one are left, with the big one still far from being ready. The small one doesn't need much longer, maybe another week or two. The next plants are already waiting to move in. 🏡

Nordgrow The first 3 have been cut down. 2 are still left. The wet weight of the 3 plants was very different, but overall really very, very heavy. The box has now been divided into a drying chamber and a flowering chamber with a room divider. The small plant has now also been flushed and will be cut down soon. The big one is just starting to get its first brown hairs.

Nordgrow The last one is still not quite finished. In the meantime, the other 4 have been dried, trimmed, and bagged. So far, it's 389.26g dry weight. That's 1.21g per watt so far, which is a very satisfying result for me. I think with the Monster Sativa, I'll hit around 450g.

Nordgrow The last one has now fallen and is hanging to dry. I think the big one is the one that the strain description from Green House Seeds is tailored to. Very unusual smell, very fluffy sativa bud, but nicely resinous. I'm curious to see what the big one will add to the yield now.

Happy Harvest Day!

The plants need space upwards. The variations of the phenotypes are unfortunately very high, and therefore there has been a very large height difference in some. But 3 grew very homogeneously in height and were still very different in flowering and the end product. 2 of the phenotypes would definitely be worth keeping as mother plants. Both had a yield of ~120g per plant. According to the variety description from Green House, the huge Sativa fits, which is also ready after the specified time. Otherwise, the plants are very hungry, but I gladly recommend the variety to you, as it brings an incredible yield of really great mostly Sativa weed.

Nordgrow The final result of the harvest is 505g dry weight from 5 plants under 360W. That's 1.4g per watt and is really an insane result for me.

Looks really good overall 👍 The structure of the plants and buds is definitely there. However, the plants currently look quite light, some even pale green or slightly yellowish. This could indicate a combination of nutrient deficiency, pH issues, or insufficient light intensity. Regarding the light: It looks like you could hang the lamps a bit lower, especially on the right side where the plants are shorter. If you're not measuring PPFD, I would at least recommend taking a measurement with the Photon app to better assess the light intensity at canopy height. As for fertilization: There could be a slight deficiency (N / Mg / Cal-Mag), especially in week 6 of flowering. Hawaii Snow is known for a long flowering time, so there's still plenty of time to correct this without losing yield. I would check pH, nutrients, and light simultaneously. If this is optimized now, the plants still have a lot of potential to build up good mass and quality in the last weeks 🌱🔥

Nordgrow commented7mo ago
@Antarctic, the bright color was due to a nitrogen deficiency in the early flowering phase. I always start fertilizing only when the first signs of deficiency appear. That's why I only started fertilizing here from week 3-4 of flowering. After the photos, I placed the plants on the right side on elevation plates to get a bit closer to the lights. Usually, I can't get much closer than, for example, the ones in the middle, as the tips would otherwise bleach out. I've been growing for 16 years without any pH measurements, etc., and I manage well without much technology. But thanks for the tips.

What kind of mix soil are you using? I want to apply that kind of mixed soil in my 1-week TSP plants.
