Started a few more seeds. One appears to be a different strain. It is taller and the leaves are thinner. Got seeds, light and carbon filter from someone for a pretty fair price.

The unknown strain is growing tall and fast. The three smaller plants are growing. Also, my dog ate the tops of the largest 'big bud' and took a few weeks to get back on track. Right around this time, I got the 400W MH & HPS bulbs + hood. Was using 150W HPS at that time. Could be why the largest started showing signs of gender fairly quickly as you'll see in the upcoming week.

So I have been doing more research and have been trying to get everything going well. I am getting ready to start some training soon. Due to the unknown strain height and my space, I am going to end up cutting the top stem in two sections and try to clone in water.

Veg has been slow for me. It could be due to me topping and attempting FIM train. It could be due to starting with not the best soil and then getting used to the watering schedule and how not to over/under water. It's been a while but it's always better after your first time in anything you do, right? :P

Moving along, Starting to show more growth. At this point, I believe the topping mentioned in an earlier week (of two sections) has taken place and will LST the largest of the 'big bud' this week.

I planted one of them shallow so naturally it wanted to tip over. I want to see the result of that leaving it on it's side and that's how it will remain.

At this point I have begun the 12/12 light cycle. I am all caught up now and the next week posts will be current. I've been retro-filling the form out for each week up until now. Lights 6am to 6pm. Darkness: 6pm to 6am. You may notice I ran some line to hold down the unknown strain (largest). Think I neglected her in the water department; her leaves are kind of dry and didn't form correctly in some areas. No ridges, flat and rounded. Could be from being close to the light as well. The clones I mentioned earlier started to root. One I put into soil and forgot to put the dome on so she fried. The other hadn't put out any roots at the time so was still in water and still is in water. Today I noticed it is starting to put out white spots all over the stem where the roots will form. Raised the light up a bit.

On the plant I was LST, it turned out to be a male. The tallest turned out to be a hermie - I pulled the sacks off and sprayed with water to kill any potential pollen. The smaller two look to be female. I ordered Maxibloom - should arrive this week.

Bought some MaxiBloom because the General Organics Go Box has very low NPK ratios and I probably should have used it from the start :P All seems to be going well so far. :)

What's good yo, here are some shots from this past week. Seem to be doing alright. I noticed the majority of fan leaves are losing their green and starting to turn yellow. My diagnosis was Calcium deficiency, was thinking it was low on calcium and locked out nutrients from flowing. I just watered with maxibloom and CAMG+ to see if that helps. My closet is hot and low humidity so I am working on ways for next time to fix that. :)

Yeah, check it out. It's looking all hairy like Barry. Looking good, smelling good. I'm doing this 12/12, ya know. Got that timer, got that light fixture. I think I can do this. Ya know. Got water on tap. Nutrients in the bag. Mhm. Ya know, that fresh air is coming in thru the window. Carbon filter for odor. Yup. 3 day watering schedule - just about. Try and do fresh water then next watering, water + nutrient, then water for next time. You know. I read, don't feed every time. So, yeah. Try and drain out that soil of excess, ya know. So yeah, it's okay. What can I say. It takes a long time. Sheesh. But can't rush nature, right? Means the scale has to be increased, that means the risk is increased. Hmm. Need that recreational legislation.

Hey I got a 30x - 60x magnifying glass to monitor trichome color. Still pretty clear. I like how that one plant looks shaped like a V

This week was good. The temps were cooler so that helped out. One of the plant's had some cloudy trichomes.

Was very interesting to learn the process. I am not sure what the seeds are at this point as they each were different strains. The grams are estimated.

@Puffer_Bill, Yeah, I checked again today and I am seeing some roots forming. I am going to wait it out and see if I can get a little flower off of her. 😀

@canablizz, Okay... re read your posting. I understand about the white spots now. Root nodules. I'm glad it's not mold or mite. 😎👍🏼

@Puffer_Bill, Bill, These white spots I am referring to appear to be little root nodules forming on the cutting I took. It's a good sign! I thought you noticed white spots on the leaves which is most likely from water/dust/minerals.

@canablizz, That makes sense, why not just push over instead of hard work.... tying back, super cropping, you name it. 😉. But.... no, what you said about tying it down, makes perfect sense and logic. 👍🏼

@Puffer_Bill, Bill, thanks! My thought process was, 'wait, i'm tying these plants down to achieve a lateral stem but I can eliminate the tying down aspect if I don't upright her.'

Thanks Bill, the white spots/film just appeared out of the blue. It's almost like a slug was in there and left that film. I did some research, could be from minerals in water, could be from misting and then dust landing on plant. Google wants me to think it is powdery mildew but I know that is not it. I've seen that first hand outdoors and it's not powder.
the end.
