HOMEGROWBOOK Black Domina – Week 0 (Germination)
This week marks the start of Black Domina’s life cycle. Seeds were successfully germinated and transferred into the final medium under controlled conditions to ensure a strong and stress-free start.
⸻
🌱 Germination
• Seeds cracked reliably and showed healthy taproot development.
• Transplanted carefully into moist substrate to avoid root damage.
• Humidity dome used to maintain stable moisture levels during early emergence.
⸻
💧 Watering
• Light misting only, keeping the medium evenly moist but never soaked.
• Focus on encouraging root growth rather than top growth.
⸻
🌡️ Environment
• Temperature: ~24–25 °C
• Humidity: ~75–80%
• Stable conditions to support fast and safe sprouting.
⸻
🔮 Outlook
• Expect cotyledons to fully open within the next few days.
• First true leaves should appear early in Week 1.
• No nutrients added yet — relying solely on the substrate.

HOMEGROWBOOK During the first week after germination, Black Domina had a calm and healthy start. Germination was successful, and the seedling emerged evenly from the substrate. The cotyledons are fully opened, and the first set of true leaves has begun to develop.
At this stage, the main focus is root establishment. To support early root growth, a mild nutrient solution was applied using Hy-Pro Coco A & B, complemented with Rootstimulator, Cal-Mag, and Spraymix at low dosage. The medium was kept evenly moist without any signs of overwatering.
Humidity was kept slightly higher to reduce stress and support early development. Overall, the plant looks healthy and stable, with no visible deficiencies or stress symptoms. Growth is steady, indicating a good foundation for the upcoming vegetative phase.

HOMEGROWBOOK During Week 2, Black Domina continued to develop slowly but steadily. Growth remains compact, with tight internodal spacing and a short overall stature, which is typical for this indica-dominant strain at an early stage.
Leaf color is healthy green, and the plant shows no visible signs of nutrient deficiencies, burn, or stress. Root development appears to be the main focus this week, as above-ground growth is still limited.
Feeding and watering were kept light to avoid overwatering or nutrient stress. The plant responded well to the gentle approach and maintained stable growth throughout the week.
Overall, Black Domina looks healthy and balanced, even though size and growth speed are still below average for this stage.

HOMEGROWBOOK During Week 3, Black Domina is still developing at a slower pace than expected and remains quite small for this stage. However, the plant looks healthy and stable, with no visible signs of nutrient burn, deficiencies, or pest issues.
Growth appears compact, which suggests that the plant is currently focusing more on root development rather than above-ground growth. This can happen with indica-dominant genetics like Black Domina, especially in the early stages. Leaf color is consistent and healthy, indicating that the current feeding level is appropriate.
A mild nutrient mix based on Hy-Pro Coco A & B is being used, keeping EC low to avoid stressing the young plant. The medium is kept evenly moist, and watering is done carefully to prevent overwatering, which could further slow growth at this stage.
While overall size is still small, the plant shows signs of gradual progress and stability. With a stronger root system establishing now, more visible vegetative growth is expected in the coming week.

HOMEGROWBOOK During Week 4, Black Domina is still noticeably small compared to typical vegetative growth at this stage. Growth remains slow and compact, but the plant continues to look healthy and stress-free overall.
Leaf structure is tight with a deep green color, showing no signs of nutrient deficiencies, toxicity, or pest damage. This indicates that the current feeding strategy is well balanced and not overloading the young plant. The slow development strongly suggests that the plant is still prioritizing root expansion, which is common for indica-dominant genetics, especially when grown in coco.
Environmental conditions are stable, and watering is kept controlled to avoid overwatering, which could further limit growth. Nutrient strength remains light, allowing the plant to adapt gradually without stress.
Although above-ground growth is limited, the plant appears stable and alive, which is the most important factor at this stage. Once the root system is fully established, a stronger vegetative push is expected.

HOMEGROWBOOK In Week 5, Black Domina continues to show very compact and slow vegetative growth. The plant is still we small for this stage, but remains healthy, stable, and stress-free.
Leaf color is a consistent green with no visible signs of nutrient burn, deficiencies, or pest issues. Internodal spacing is tight, which fits well with the indica-dominant genetics of Black Domina. Growth appears focused more below the surface, indicating that the plant is still investing energy into root development rather than vertical growth.
Watering and nutrient levels are kept on the lower side to avoid overfeeding, which could further slow progress at this size. The plant responds well to the gentle feeding strategy and shows no negative reactions.
Although development is slower than expected, overall plant health is good. With a stronger root system establishing now, more noticeable growth is expected in the coming weeks.

HOMEGROWBOOK During Week 6, Black Domina finally entered a more active phase and was ready for light training. Due to the very compact growth structure, a careful trim was performed to remove a few lower and shaded leaves, improving airflow and light penetration to the inner growth.
In addition, Low Stress Training (LST) was started. The main stem was gently bent and fixed to encourage lateral growth and break apical dominance. This should help the plant develop a wider structure and compensate for the slower early growth.
The plant handled both trimming and LST very well, with no visible stress reactions such as drooping or discoloration. Leaf color remains healthy, and new growth points are already responding positively to the increased light exposure.
Although still smaller than average for Week 6, the structure is now much more promising and better prepared for further vegetative development.

HOMEGROWBOOK During Week 7, Black Domina continues to show a very compact and controlled growth pattern. While overall size remains smaller than average for this stage, the plant looks healthy, stable, and stress-free.
Following the earlier trimming and LST work, the plant has recovered well and is now focusing on strengthening its structure. Multiple growth points are visible, and branching is developing slowly but evenly. Leaf color remains a consistent healthy green with no signs of nutrient deficiencies, burn, or pest issues.
Watering and feeding remain moderate to avoid stressing the plant. The root system appears well established, which is reflected in the plant’s ability to maintain stability despite its compact size.
Although growth speed is still limited, the plant shows no negative symptoms. This indicates that Black Domina is simply progressing at its own pace, typical for some indica-dominant phenotypes.
