DapperDabber I was so excited to see the vigorous growth of the Fast buds genetics that I decided to put 4 of them in my 5x5. This time will be four Strawberry gorillas. Next time will be four Gorilla cookies! I am excited to have a few award winning genetics grown under my belt. I have two Vivosun vsfd6500 weaved together for a total of 1300ish watts. I bought these lights on sale from Vivosun for 220 each. Compared to every other option this was a no-brainer price-wise. I have two fans up high for dedicated light cooling. I have four 40 gallon pots filled with Clackamas Coots recipe that has been used for one previous run. It was previously ammended during the last run. I will ammend again as soon as the plants appear to be growing vigorously. This is currently the first "no-till" cycle for both the 40 gallon pots and myself as a grower. The soil was not disturbed during the last harvest, the stems were cut. They will be ammended with buildasoil's worm castings and gaia green either all purpose/power Bloom or about mix of both depending on the timing. The light can be moved but it is a hassle. When the light is @ %100 I can get around 400-600 par at 36 inch lamp distance. I worked pretty hard to weave them in a way that evens out the par map. I plan on withholding defoliating until I lollipop at the end of the flowering stretch. I'm excited to see a ridiculously dense canopy of reddish purple hues!

DapperDabber They're slow moving above ground but hopefully hard at work developing roots! I ordered a smaller LED light for them while they're not large enough to make use of the 2x VSFD6500 to increase my cost efficiency this run. One of the little ladies aren't looking too happy 😞 I'm not too concerned but I'll keep it in mind. One of the seedlings seemed stunted so last week I germinated a second one and it has already outpaced the runt. I'll thin out whichever doesn't keep up over time! I'm planning on feeding them for their first real watering. I'll write here to remind myself of the recipe I plan to use Water soluble: Big 6 micronutrients (buildasoil) & Recharge (Real growers) Top dressing: Worm castings (buildasoil) Insect frass (buildasoil) Bio-char (buildasoil) Gypsum (Diamond K) Thermx 15M (Bioag) 1/2 strength All purpose (gaia green) Power Bloom (gaia green) Clackamas Coots nutrient mix (buildasoil) Coarse basalt (buildasoil) Oyster shell flower (bioag)

DapperDabber One little guy looks hungry so I'll get them all top dressed over my weekend. I also ordered four of vivosuns 100w aerolights for a reasonable price for black Friday. I'll set them up one for each individual plant to try and increase my electrical efficiency until they can utilize the 2x 650w lights. I'll also be setting up my 3x3 for a run with one 65 gallon pot under the 400w light. I have a Northern lights auto and purple bud auto from White Label/Sensi seeds and I'll be deciding which one to grow in there! It will be another Coots Recipe mix with top dressings. I hope i don't have issues with my hose freezing over the winter!

DapperDabber I got the four Vivosun 100w aerolights setup and they seem to be pretty happy about it! One of these ladies are happily outpacing the others, and looks gorgeous while doing so. I haven't top watered them yet and I decided against top dressing so far. I'll dump a gallon or two in the bottom of the tent in a sub irrigation style every 2 or 3 days. My hopes are to encourage deep root growth while keeping the top layer fairly dry because... FUNGUS GNATS have made their home in my grow and I'm heartbroken. I have WDG3000 coming in today. I'll do a light top dress with extra insect frass and drench with the fungus gnat eliminator. I'll also be on the lookout for some cheap sticky traps. If I can't get the numbers down I'll invest in more pest management solutions. I've been lucky until now. They've seemed slower in growth but maybe it's the relative size of the pot playing tricks on me. The previous run in this pot was transplanted. This is my first attempt germinating in a pot this size. I'm impressed at my success so far as I've been fear Mongered into thinking germinating directly in soil and similary germinating in larger pots can be risky. I've had good luck. I had top watered all pots until saturated and germinated the next day. I poured about a cup where each seed was placed every day and I didn't water at all from the time they broke ground to the first set of true serrated leaves. This was about a 3 or 4 day stretch at 45-55% humidity with the 8 inch ventilation fan on the lowest setting 24/7 From this point on I would bottom water an imprecise amount every 3 or 4 days. Unfortunately a package theif stole my 65 gallon pot so the 3x3 has been delayed. I need to do a scrub down of the tent anyway, probably for the best with the fungus gnat infestation. Wish me luck! I'll see if I have any info worth updating regarding the previous Strawberry gorilla and Gorilla Cookies harvest from the 3x3 Grow on my garden brothers and sisters.

DapperDabber The top right and the bottom left seem to be the most affected by the fungus gnats :( Today was their third full strength treatment of WDG3000 fungus gnat eliminator. It was also the second neem oil spray treatment. I placed many fungus gnat traps. I've also been treating the 65 gallon pot in the 3x3 along side this however nothing has been sown into it. I'd like to be fungus gnat free before I start the 3x3. After one final treatment of WDG3000 I plan to pile a 1 inch layer of rice hulls to as my final barrage against the bastards! They've nonetheless stayed strong. Depending on the health of the two weakest I might snuff them out, if they can make it however I'll let them try.
