OrganicJoe Welcome to my first grow report! Any tips or feedback are more than welcome. :) This time I’m going for a full organic grow using Living Soil. I’ll be running Brotanics Living Soil, a new company from Germany. People in my circle have tested pretty much every Living Soil brand out there, and Brotanics seems to outperform all of them by a wide margin. I’m hoping this will give me better terpene expression, improved flavor, and a generally stress-free grow, since at least during veg it only requires water. No more mixing nutrients, and supposedly no need to measure pH or EC either. I’ll keep you all updated as the grow progresses. 28.11.2025 The seeds were germinated using the water-glass method and then planted in a 50/50 mix of BioBizz Light Mix and BioBizz Coco Mix. The light is currently at 11% and set 15 cm above the soil, giving me around 214 µmol/m²/s. Update: 01.12.2025: The babies have officially popped out of the Soil! 🎉 (Yeah… I forgot to take a picture. Rookie move.) The living soil fermentation is going wild right now. I’ve never seen any other Living Soil bubble and come to life like this before. The microbes are partying down there like it’s a microscopic rave. Whatever they’re doing… it’s working.

OrganicJoe Update: Better late than never. Sorry for the delay, folks! The girls are now on day 9, and honestly, for this stage they’re looking pretty good. Still early, of course, but the development so far is chef’s kiss. I’m planning to give them about 4 more days before moving them into their final pots with the living soil. The stuff looks insanely potent (see picture), and I don’t want to throw them straight into the microbial deep end and accidentally give them a nutrient burn welcome party. Since I still had some BioBizz Root Juice left from previous grows, I gave them a little sip, nothing crazy, just a friendly boost. PPFD is chilling at 252, keeping it low and cozy for now. I’ll start nudging it up slowly. The real fun begins next week when they move into the Brotanics Living Soil. Then we’ll finally see how it stacks up against a “normal” Advanced Nutrients + BioBizz setup. Stay tuned, the science experiment meets chaos gardening continues! 🌱🔬🔥

OrganicJoe Grow Diary – The Great Migration 🌱 After a journey longer than a seedling’s first root, the ladies have finally moved into their forever homes. Yes, the final pots. The promised land. The retirement villa. That said… they’re currently still sitting in a cozy little buffer zone of light mix. Why? Because the Brotanics living soil underneath is thicc and I’m not trying to traumatize them with nutrients like it’s boot camp. We ease into things around here. Gentle introductions. Slow handshakes. Roots will eventually venture down into the living soil buffet when they feel brave enough. Until then, no pressure. To keep stress levels low and vibes high, the whole setup is now running on full automatic watering. Living soil stays mostly moist, plants stay mostly happy, and I stay mostly hands-off pretending this was the plan all along. Now we wait, watch, and hope for the best

OrganicJoe As mentioned before, I was traveling and let the plants do their own thing. This turned out to be the perfect test for a living soil grow. The only manual intervention was a friend adjusting the grow lights, something that can easily be automated in the future as well. The plants look absolutely fantastic. In the pictures and videos provided, they’ve already been trimmed a bit. My mistake for not documenting the true “sea of green” when I first opened the tent after three weeks. The biggest leaves were larger than my hand, it was ridiculous. I’ve honestly never seen anything like that in an indoor grow before. I’m back now and will continue with weekly updates. The next step is installing the SCROG net and switching the light schedule to 12/12. They’re more than ready to go into flower. Aside from using a bit of root juice at the very beginning, I haven’t added any fertilizer at all and the results speak for themselves. I can highly recommend everyone to try Brotanics living soil especially for beginners, lazy people or as add in for professional organic grower

OrganicJoe Once again, a week is missing because I had to travel for work, sorry about that. A few days ago I fully set up the net, and the babies are looking great. Keep in mind: no liquid nutrients are being used here. The whole setup is completely organic, using Brotanics Living Soil and a simple watering system. Anyone who hasn’t tested this living soil yet should definitely give it a try. Hopefully work won’t send me away again so I can document everything properly next week. Let me know what you think :)
