ChubbyBudBros I will be trying my first hydro shallow water culture grow with Stress killer automatic CBD. I've made my own DIY hydro bucket using a 10L paint bucket, a net pot and an air pump I got from Amazon. For nutrients I will be using Terra Aquatica Tri-part with some additional Bio Bizz CalMag. I've already put the seed in water for 24 hours and it started showing it's taproot. I then moved into a RQS coco pellet that was soaked in plain tap water with a 5.8 PH. Hoping for it to sprout in a few days. 👌 ------------------- Day 3 She sprouted very quickly! The taproot already broke out the bottom of the plug. I added just a small layer of clay pebbles in the bottom of the net pot, put the pellet on there and surrounded it with more pebbles as you can see in the pictures. I will add some more pebbles as she grows up to block the light some more from getting into the bucket itself, but right now the seedling is too small still to add more. There's no sign of any true leaves yet, so I'm trying to keep light gentle for now, she is not directly under any light, but she's getting about 270 PPFD from the SF2000 light that is above my other plants in the tent.

ChubbyBudBros - Day 1 Here we go! Officially day 1 for this plant as the first true leaves have shown up. Had to PH down the water reservoir from 6.2 to 5.6. Not seeing any roots poke out the net pot yet for now. Day 2 Only took 1 day and the taproot has already hit the water 😄, that was surprisingly fast! Day 3 She is making great progress so far 💪 that root has gotten quite a bit longer now. Did also check PH, which was at 5.7 today 👌🏻, after I ph'd it down to 5.5 yesterday. and water temp is ~21.5°C Also gave another 8ml of Hydrogen peroxide. Day 4 Already got the second true leaves showing up 👀 and that taproot be doing well too. PH went up to 5.8 today, brought it back down to 5.6. Water temp is around 21.5°C Day 5 More roots are poking out of the bottom now! that first set of true leaves is looking very nice and healthy. Checked the water and PH didn't drift at all, stayed at 5.6. water temp was 20.5°C, but lights had only just come on. Day 6 Love seeing the roots develop so quickly. The first set of true leaves got a big growth boost over night. Not checking PH today for once, think it will be good till tomorrow. Also dropped the light down a bit to increase PPFD to ~290 Day 7 Genuinely shocked the roots get that big already after just 7 days. Didn't have to PH down either today, only got back up to 5.7 from 5.6 over 2 days.

ChubbyBudBros - Day 8 Did a full water renewal with 500ml less water, so 5 liters now. The roots have some space to breath now between the bottom of the net pot and water line. Also topped the net pot off with some more clay pebbles. Day 9 Second set of true leaves is forming nicely, and the 3 set albeit small, has shown up as well! PH got up to 6.3 today, so I took it back down to 5.8. Day 11 PH got back up to 6.2 after 2 days, So pH'd back down to 5.7. Day 12 Got that third node developing nicely now. Day 13 Checked the PH today, was at 5.8 after I pH'd it down to 5.7 2 days ago, pretty stable! Seeing small nodes deleveop already on the lower branch! Also added a maintenance dose of 5ml hydrogen peroxide 3%. Day 14 The root growth has exploded quite a bit the past few days! I noticed that the leaves seemed a bit stressed from the light so I took a proper reading and realised I was almost giving 400 PPFD so I reduced it now to 300.

ChubbyBudBros - Day 15 Growth seems to definitely be picking up now! Did a full water renewal today. So far this grow has been pretty chill. Day 16 Still doing great! not much to report for now, temps are a pretty cold now out here so I think growth is a bit slow due to that. Day 17 Kinda surprised she isn't really show that much explosive growth as I would expect from a hydro grow? Added a maintenance dose of 1ml/l of h2o2. Day 18 Checked pH today which was still at 6.0, so just leaving it like that for now. Day 19 Checked pH earlier, which was still only ay 6.0 after 2 days since I pH'd down to 5.7, so that's pretty stable. I'll be increasing the light slowly this week to 400 PPFD, moved it to 320 now. Day 21 I've removed the 2 upper sets of fan leaves, they were blocking the light too much to the lower nodes, so hopefully those will be able to take off like crazy now and catch up with the main branch.

ChubbyBudBros - Day 22 Renewed all the water in the bucket today as we head into week 4 already. Gave everything a good cleanse with some hydrogen peroxide as well, got to keep those pathogens out! Seems like she's reacting well to me removing the 4 fan leaves yesterday as well. Day 23 Upped the PPFD to 400 today. pH was at 6.3 to got it back down to 5.8. Also seeing the first white pistils on the nodes of the stems now, so we're in pre flowering now! Day 24 The upper fan leaves had a big growth spurt the past 2 days and were completely covering the lower nodes, so I chopped them off, also removed the lowest nodes of fan leaves to redirect energy to the new growth. pH was up to 6.1 today, will wait till tomorrow to ph down again. Day 25 Yesterday I lowered the water a bit so that there is more space between the net pot and the surface of the water, I think I kept the gap a bit to small so the roots couldn't breathe enough, and today the leaves are finally a lot less droopy. I did also raise the light distance a bit but kept the same 400 PPFD. pH'd down to 5.8 again as well, even though it was still at 6.1 and added an 8ml of hydrogen peroxide dose. Day 26 Removed the new set of fan leaves again, they keep growing so fast Day 27 Stretch has definitely begun now. The side branches are starting to catch up with that main branch now as well. Trying to keep those lower nodes getting some direct light by trimming and tucking wherever possible.

ChubbyBudBros - Day 29 Start of a new week. Plant seems to be stretching now, but not seeing any pistils on the flowering sites so far. Also did a full water refresh again. The canopy is starting to get more even now with me trimming the fan leaves from the main stem to slow down it's growth a bit. Day 30 pH went up to 6.2, brought it back down to 5.7. The canopy is pretty even right now. Still not seeing any white pistils forming on the flowering sites for now. Day 31 Gonna not check pH today, it should be pretty stable now. Did a light defoliation, removed some of the lower fan leaves that were barely getting any direct light, and removed some fan leaves on top to allow for better light penetration. Day 32 Checked pH today, was still at 5.8. Did have to add a liter of water to the bucket today, seems like she is starting to drink a lot more now! Day 33 The pH of the water dropped down to 5.7 today, and she drank a ton again. Topped up the water in the tank with 5.8 pH water again. She is growing a lot now, still no white pistils on flower sites however. Day 34 Not much to report today except that she is growing fast right now! still no white pistils on flowering sites tho. I did increase the light distance a bit to 62cm as the top leaves are showing some light stress. Day 35 Decided to do a big defoliation today, I 'm seeing the first baby white pistils on the flowering sites so I wanna make sure that as many as possible nodes get direct light so they can build strong flowering sites. I had to add some lst clips to get the light touching the lower nodes.

ChubbyBudBros - Day 36 First week of flowering now, the first small white pistils on the flowering sites have appeared! Did a full water renewal with 5.8 pH. Trying to get some direct light to those lower flowering nodes by tucking leaves as much as possible but had to cut some off as well. Day 37 Just quickly checked water today, she's drinking well and pH went up to 6.2, gonna wait till tomorrow to see if I need to bring it back down. Day 38 After messing around with the light intensity and distance of the light I finally got her praying 🙏 When I checked the pH I noticed it went down to 5.8 from yesterdays 6.2, which is..odd?? Or is it because she is consuming all the nutrients in the water... gonna have to do some research on this. I added a liter of water to top up the reservoir again and set the pH to 6.0. Day 40 She drank up almost the whole bucket after 2 days 😅. I just did a full water renewal with new nutrients, pH'd at 6.0 and a more bloom focused feed. Flowers are starting to set in nicely now and still have quite a bit of stretching happening. Day 41 She is still drinking a lot. pH went up to 6.3, so decided to pH it back to 5.9, also added about 800ml's of water to the off the reservoir. Removed some fan leaves on the fastest growing branches to slow them down a bit and let the smaller branches catch up. Day 42 Seems like she is drinking even more now, also saw a bitch stretch happen since yesterday. Had to top up the bucket with about 1.4 liters of water, which I pH'd to 6. Also removed some of the lower fan leaves and flowering sites that were just not getting any light.
