TheChillGrow today the taproots had stretched quite a bit, so I transplanted them into pre-moistened Canna Coco (damp, not wet). Planted them about 1 cm deep with the taproot down and lightly covered the shells/embryo. Lights are running 24/7 at 60% power, about 61 cm above the pots. Humidity is 75–80% and temps are steady around 24–26°C. Adjusted the fans so there’s a gentle airflow over the pots without blowing too hard on the seedlings. Now just waiting for the cotyledons to break the surface. Everything looks healthy so far! 🌱

TheChillGrow We’re now 5 days since planting both seedlings into coco, and they’re settling in beautifully. Both girls popped on 30 November, and after moving them into their medium, I started with a gentle Canna A & B mix at EC 0.6. They took it very well, so they are now comfortably feeding at EC 1.0, showing no signs of stress or overfeeding. Light remains at 80% in veg mode, positioned at 610mm above canopy level, and both seedlings are reacting perfectly—compact, upright, and a vibrant green. Root zone moisture is steady, and growth is progressing exactly where you want it at this stage. For only 5 days in coco, leaf development, colouring, and structure are right on point. Both ladies look happy and are ready to build momentum over the next week. 🌱🌱🔥

TheChillGrow Plants are now 12 days from popping. They’re under 24 hours of light and sitting comfortably at 25°C. I’ve lowered the humidity slightly from 70% down to 65% to ease them into early veg conditions. Feeding is set to 500 ml every 3 days with an EC of 1.1, and the medium is drying out nicely between waterings. Growth is steady with new leaf sets coming in and the plants looking healthy and happy.

TheChillGrow 21 days since transplant into the AutoPot system. I was away for a week, so the setup had to run unattended, and overall it did well. I increased light intensity from 80% to 85%, but noticed some leaf burn and slight tacoing, so I’ve dropped it back down to 80% to reduce stress. Air has now been connected to the AutoPot system, giving the roots extra oxygen, which is right on schedule at three weeks post-transplant. Current parameters: EC: 1.3 pH: 5.8 RH: 65% Tent temp: 25°C I’ve also done my first and only topping to start shaping the plant.

TheChillGrow Day 28 (from sprout) Both Santa Marta Haze Autos are healthy and progressing well. Plants are currently in late veg / early pre-flower, with strong lateral growth after topping. Internode spacing is tight, and both plants have developed a compact, bushy structure. One plant is noticeably more compact than the other, with dense leaf growth and multiple growth tips forming under the canopy. Leaf colour is a healthy green with no signs of nutrient burn, deficiencies, or stress. One fan leaf was accidentally removed during leaf tucking, but no negative response was observed. 🌡️ Environment Temperature: 25–25.5 °C Relative Humidity: 60–62% VPD: ~1.1–1.2 (ideal for this stage) Conditions are stable and well suited for continued vegetative growth before stretch. 💡 Lighting Light: Vivosun AW400 (tunable) Output: 85% Height: ~500 mm from canopy Schedule: 24/0 Light intensity is strong but within safe limits. Plants show no signs of light stress. Internodes remain tight, indicating good PPFD without overexposure. 💧 Feeding (Coco + AutoPot) Nutrients: Canna Coco A & B EC (total): 1.5 pH: ~5.8 Plants are feeding well at this EC with no tip burn or clawing observed. EC will be held steady until clear signs of flowering (pistils) appear. No PK booster added yet. 🌿 Training Plants were topped earlier and have recovered well. Current training consists of gentle daily leaf tucking only to expose growth tips and encourage outward growth. No further topping or defoliation planned before stretch. 🔮 Outlook Plants are expected to begin stretch and show first pistils within the next 7–10 days. Focus remains on maintaining stability, avoiding stress, and allowing plants to naturally transition into flower. RH will be reduced gradually once flowering begins, and PK booster will be introduced later in early flower (planned for January). Overall, the grow is on track for a strong stretch and good yield potential if current stability is maintained.

TheChillGrow Day 35 from sprout – Santa Marta Haze Auto (Coco / Autopot) Day 35 since sprout (sprouted 1 Dec, planted into final pots 30 Nov). Both plants are Santa Marta Haze autoflowers grown in Canna Coco Professional using an Autopot system. The two plants are showing different phenotypes: Plant 1 (taller) has clearly entered stretch and early flower. Strong vertical growth, praying leaves, pistils forming nicely at the tops. Slight tip burn visible, indicating it’s close to its nutrient limit but overall very healthy. Plant 2 (shorter & bushier) is still more vegetative, very leafy and compact, slower to stretch. This plant previously showed some droop and darker green foliage, suggesting it was holding onto nitrogen a bit more. Because of the difference between the two, feeding is being managed for the more sensitive plant. Lighting Vivosun AW400 (tunable with wings) Currently running 95% intensity Light height approx. 500 mm from tallest plant Changed from 24/0 to 18/6 (lights off 23:00, on 05:00) to help the bushy plant transition more naturally into flower Environment Temps around 24–25°C Humidity currently ~63% Raising RH from 60% to 63% noticeably helped the bushy plant recover and leaves perked up Good airflow added to reduce moisture trapped in dense foliage Feeding Fresh reservoir mixed: pH 5.8 EC 1.4 Canna A & B EC intentionally kept slightly lower as one plant showed dark green leaves and light tip burn Plan is to hold EC 1.4 for a few days, then increase to 1.5 EC once both plants are clearly happy and stretch stabilizes Training / Structure One plant was topped successfully and has two strong main colas The other was topped but only one main was removed No heavy defoliation done yet — only considering selective removal of large fan leaves to improve airflow once stretch slows Overall Plants are healthy and vigorous. Stretch phase is underway on the taller plant, while the bushier one is just starting to transition. Focus for the next few days is stability: dialing in feed, maintaining airflow, and letting the canopy open naturally before any major interventions.

TheChillGrow Day 41 – Week 1 of Flowering | Grow Update Both autos have now fully entered early flower and are showing clear pistil development across the canopy. The two plants are expressing very different growth traits: one is tall and vigorous with longer internodes, while the other remains short, dense, and very bushy. To manage the height difference and light spacing, I did some last structural adjustments on the taller plant. A couple of branches were stressed during this process and needed to be patched, including one low on the main structure. The plant is still upright and pushing new growth, so the focus from here is recovery and stability rather than further training. On the shorter plant, I removed the lower third and selectively cleared a few crowded areas to improve airflow and light penetration. It’s still compact, but the interior is much more open now and light can reach more bud sites than before. From this point forward, there will be no more high-stress training for the remainder of the run. The goal now is to let both plants settle, recover, and put their energy into flowering. Any future work will be limited to very light, selective defoliation only if absolutely necessary. Overall, despite different growth structures and a bit of stress along the way, both plants remain healthy, green, and actively flowering. Now it’s a hands-off phase — support, monitor, and let them do their thing 🌱

Not heard of this one but it sounds good, and a nice setup - so good luck with it all.
