SheeshtheSchaller Day 1: The seed germinated after about 4 days with no issues. I've learned a lot during my last grow and am now seeking to apply these learning. This plant will be glorious (I hope).

SheeshtheSchaller Since this is Amnesia Haze, I'm going to call her Lethe after the river of forgetfullness. Sadly, I forgot to put in the correct amount of light for the first two days so she stretched a bit more than I would prefer. Still she's slowly but steadily coming along. I usually put a glass container over it to keep heat and moisture inside. Removed it for the photo

SheeshtheSchaller Day 15: This does not look good. I don't know if I screwed up or the seed was just cursed, but I'll probably start another one and look at how the two progress. This will be in the coming days. Maybe the little Lethe will come around but I'll strongly doubt it...

SheeshtheSchaller Day 22: Merry Christmas! New seedling just saw the light of day! Here's hoping it turns out better than the other one. The old one still has not died (yay!) and I plan on keeping it in a smaller pot and outside of the tent in a couple of days/weeks, once the new one has grown visibly. Let us see how it turns out. I do have to note that the old plant is growing veeery slowly.

SheeshtheSchaller Day 36: Plant is developing more or less normally now. Due to the cold outside it gets a bit chilly in the basement, but they seem to take it well. Leafes look healthy. I wanted to try out this sort of LST for a long time. Also defoliated a bit so the important parts get more light

SheeshtheSchaller Day 50: Plant has now been moved to a window to make room for the other one. I wanted to experiment with this one because it had a rough start. Lets see how she develops with some natural light. Days last about 9h right now so lets hope the plant transitions to flowering stage. Let's see where this leads

SheeshtheSchaller Day 57: This plant actually looks healthy... She's stretching quite a bit, most likely due to the sparse light she getting. This is all mix compared to the other plant which is planted in light mix.

SheeshtheSchaller Day 78: Plant is flowering now. Has been developing just fine. I don't think there will be much yield, but keeping in mind that I thought the plant might die, this result isn't too shabby

SheeshtheSchaller Day 85: plant looks healthy if not a bit chaotic. The pictures (in my opinion) don't do the plant justice. It looks way better in person 😅. I took away several twigs that looked weak und unpromising.

SheeshtheSchaller Day 92: The plant is doing remarkably well. This grow turned into an experiment more or less. I just water it every 3-4 days and occasionaly add some bloom nutrients to prevent phosphorus deficiencies. The plant always gets a bit of direct sunlight in the morning (window facing east).

SheeshtheSchaller Day 106: Plant is doing fine. Can't add much I guess 🤷♂️. I'm just watering her at this, not even adding nutrients, because I'm afraid that I will oversupply the plant with the changing weather and light conditions.

SheeshtheSchaller Day 122: The trichomes are slowly becoming milky. But it will still take at least two weeks if not three for them to be where I want them. Plant smells really pungent (some sour elements but mostly like strong spices, and of course typical weed smell).

SheeshtheSchaller Day 134: Deficiencies have gotten a tad worse. Otherwise, the plant doesn't look sick. I have decided to give her one more week of light before I harvest.
This plant grew really well (given the conditions I provided) and still has a sizeable yield. However, due to the bumpy start, I can't rate it more than an 8. The other plant however will most likely get a 10 (we'll see about that).
Smell is strong, sour and spicy (a bit like lemon grass but more sour + of course typical weed smell).

SheeshtheSchaller I've hung it up to dry now, judging by the wet weight I am thinking about 10-15g of dry Ganja in the end. Airy buds, but most likely due to the condition I put the plant in.
Lethe recovered very good! I had a Hindu Kush with strange, shriveled leaves, but I wasn’t patient enough with her and discarded her. Nice to see how your plant is doing! 💪
Hey bro, random question — do you know what PPFD your plant is getting at that distance?
I only ask because I’ve seen seedlings slow way down when the light is a little too intense early on, even if it’s not burning them.
@HighLineNugz, roundabout 200-250. I use my phone for measuring so I can't say for sure. It's supposed to be pretty accurate though. The bigger one gets a bit less than 400 now (with height difference)
@SheeshtheSchaller, Appreciate the info 🙏
Yeah PPFD ranges seem to be all over the place depending on source and cultivar. I’ve seen general seedling recommendations closer to ~100–150 PPFD, but I’ve also seen some strains (Amnesia included) tolerate ~200 if everything else is dialed in.
From the pics it looks like there may be more going on than just light though, possibly early root stress, watering, or temp/RH being a bit off. Seedlings can stall even when PPFD is “technically” in range if one of those factors is limiting.
Either way, sounds like you’re keeping an eye on it, which is what matters most early on.
One other thing I noticed — the light distance looks pretty close. Around ~11–12 inches can be a bit intense for seedlings even if PPFD readings don’t look crazy on paper, especially with LEDs.
For seedlings I usually see better early growth keeping lights closer to 18–24 inches, then slowly lowering as they establish and start pushing new nodes. Once they’re solid in veg, tightening that gap makes a lot more sense.
Sometimes backing the light off a bit early helps the plant focus on root and leaf development instead of just managing light stress.
@MaryJaneJo
, I#ve opted to keep her, but not in the tent. Hasn't died yet, so I would feel bad for throwing her out. But I dont want to waste good conditions on her
