Gelato Auto (fastbuds) - second grow

TangerineDre4m 19-01-2026 Day 8 The gelatos are looking very happy. I was really glad to see them emerge after such a long time. For now, it's not very interesting yet. They are growing very quickly everyday and I have good hopes for them. The one tangerine dream I planted did not end up germinating. I replaced it with a purple lemonade auto. See you next week!

TangerineDre4m 25-01-2026 Day 14/15 The gelatos are looking great. They are squat and healthy. Gelato 1 is a bit bigger and I did LST on her yesterday. She took it really well and adjusted herself after 12 hours. Gelato 2 germinated 36h after gelato 1 so she will be ready for LST in a day or two. I think these could turn into dense bushes. I switched to 20/4 instead of 24/0 for my lights. Environment is not ideal right now because of the cold, but nothing to do about that. So far it doesn't really seem to make a substantial difference anyway. Water is 250ml of rainwater every 48hrs. So far so good! Thanks for checking in 🙏

TangerineDre4m 01-02-2026 Day 21/22 Gelato 1 is looking especially good and has responded to LST very well. Gelato 2 is about 1,5 days younger but is taking the LST well, too. About a week ago, I removed the two lowest nodes entirely for both plants. Last grow, these were the branches that produced most larf. It also cluttered the canopy and I felt like the plant was spreading its resources too thin. Removing them definitely seemed to have helped break apical dominance. The side branches are growing a lot quicker and are overtaking the original main. Last run, I never seemed to truly break apical dominance. Cool to see. Watering has been the standard rainwater every 48h. Right now around 300-400ml. Had to switch to 24 hours of light again because of the cold nights... See you next week!

TangerineDre4m 07-02-2026 Day 27/28 Gelato 1 is looking fantastic at day 28. She has great structure and is still vegging. The canopy is pretty even with a strong main and sides. She took LST very well. Looking forward to her stretch. She has the potential to become a big girl. Gelato 2 is around 27 days old and growing happily. She isn't throwing pistils either yet. Hopefully she waits a couple more days and builds a bigger structure. So far, she is setting herself up to be a decently chunky lady. Currently still running 24 hours of light at 27 DLI. Watering has been 600ml every 48h. The plants are getting noticeably thirstier.

TangerineDre4m 14-02-2026 Day 34/35 Gelato 1 is still pushing out a lot of new veg growth. She looks like she is on the brink of starting to flower though. Defintely later than her sister. Her structure is nice and round, with a couple of very strong sides. Very happy how she embraced her training. Gelato 2 is less vigorous than her older sister and has a more open structure. She is growing very well though, and has a lot of flower sites with tight nodes. This time around I decided not to lollipop right before flower but rather, I took all first nodes off from all branches right when the 2nd lowest appeared. I also took the 2nd lowest from most of the weaker branches. I left either 1 or 2 on some to see if that end up becoming popcorn or not. That way I'll have a better idea about what to take off and what to leave in the future. The plants have gotten noticably thirstier, which is a great sign. Gelato 1 will be upped to 1,8L-2L/48h next watering. Gelato 2 will get 1,8L/48h. See you next time 🙏

TangerineDre4m 21-02-2026 Day 41/42 Gelato 1 is finishing up her stretch and is starting to stack buds. She is really vigorous. She looks healthy and is loving the light and water she is getting. I have basically finished removing lower bud sites so I will mostly be leaving her alone from now on. Gelato 2 is a little more conservative than her sister but is building a lot of good bud sites. Even though she is a little younger, she is ahead in flowering. Her structure is nice and dense, and she is starting to smell! DLI is around 32-34. Watering is 2L/48hr for Gelato 1 and 2L/60hr for Gelato 2. Overall, pretty thirst plants. See you next time :)

TangerineDre4m 28-02-2026 Day 48/49 Gelato 1 has just finished stretching and is setting in her stacking phase. She is definitely taking her time compared to all the other plants. I don't mind though, as she is gonna be a big girl for sure. She's got a lot of really nice side colas. Can't wait to see her in a week or two. Gelato 2 is finishing stacking but not quite there yet. She has a lot of frost and is looking beautiful. I really like the frost in combination with the green flowers, such a nice contrast! Her smell is starting to come through as well. RH has been a bit high but there is nothing I can do about it. I don't think 65% will be a problem given the two fans I have, but I have plans to fix the situation so that RH can be well controlled in future. Gelato 1 is drinking 2,5L every 48hrs. Gelato 2 is drinking around 2L every 60 hours. Gelato 1 is drinking a lot without being in full stack yet, she is only just entering that phase. Thanks for checking in again, stay 420'd 🙏

TangerineDre4m 07-03-2026 Day 55/56 Gelato 1 is still going hard. She experienced more structure change from the foxtailing than the other buds because she is currently building structure. She is looking great nonetheless and has huge spears. Looking forward to see how they fill out. Gelato 2 is also looking great. She has really dense golfball nugs. So far, she is the densest plant I've had. Her smell is sweet, creamy and slightly funky. Gelato 1 is up to 3,6L/48hrs. Gelato 2 is around 2L/72hrs. Happy growing 🙏

TangerineDre4m 14-03-2026 Day 62/63 Gelato 2 has finished building and is switching into swelling mode. She has some beautiful long spears with lots of flowers and is throwing frost all over. If she denses up even a little bit like her smaller sister did, she is gonna be pretty insane. Her smell is still less developed, but the Gelato smell is definitely there. Now that there are 3 plants, she is happily taking advantage of the extra space. Overall she likely needs another 3 or so weeks. Gelato 2 is starting to show early signs of senescence. I'm expecting her to go about 12-14 more days. She has densed up even further over the last week and her golfball buds have turned into rock-hard, small tennisballs. She smells amazing: sweet and creamy with floral notes. She is pushing trichomes even on some of the larger fans. I don't think I have ever wanted to smoke a plant this bad 😍. Overall I'm very happy with the results on my early node removal. Gelato 1 has some larf. I feel like it's difficult to get rid of all the larf on the more vigorous plants. But compared to last grow, larf has been greatly reduced which makes trimmer just so much easier. Gelato 2 also has zero larf, even her lower buds are super dense and frosty. Seriously impressed by this Gelato strain! Gelato 1 is drinking 3,5L/48hrs, no signs of slowing down yet. Gelato 2 is still drinking around 2L every 48 hours. I'm expecting it to start dropping off pretty soon. Thanks for checking in this week growmies 🙏

TangerineDre4m 22-03-2026 Day 70/71 Gelato 1 is starting to swell noticably. She is starting to smell more complex as well. Such a beautiful plant! Her canopy is pretty even with a lot of fat spears. She looks like she has about 2,5 weeks to go. She is still very thirsty and drinking 3,7L/48hrs. Gelato 2 just keeps on swelling and getting frostier. Her smell is fruity, creamy and very sweet. What a beauty. She has about 70% cloudy trichomes and 0% amber. I think she is about 4-5 days from harvest. Senescence is progressing and her thirst has noticably dropped off, only 1L/48hrs. TangerineDre4m 28-03-2026 Day 77 Gelato 1 is getting heavy. I had to support most major branches, she is swelling very nicely. The main cola is huge! Her smell is developing noticably, and senescence has also begun. I give her max 14 days. She is still very thirsty and drinking 3,7L/48hrs. Gelato 2 was harvested 3 days ago, 75 days after sprout. She yielded 370g wet, after trimming off bigger leaves. Even though she isn't the biggest, her buds are super dense and frosty. I'm looking forward to how she dries. Enjoy your day growmies! 🙏

TangerineDre4m 05-04-2026 Day 85 The day has come for Gelato 1. It's finally time for her to leave the grow tent. She has really fat and heavy colas. Super sticky and stinky. She came out to a total wet weight of 730 grams and 155g dry. Great plant! Gelato 2 came to a wet weight of 370 grams and a dry weight of 81 grams. Her aroma is amazing and she is very dense with alot of frost. Thanks for following along!
