Noah88 My first plan was to keep only the best-growing seeds. I pulled it out of the soil and had second thoughts.. I placed it back in the soil, and after one day, it was still alive, so I transferred it to a new, small pot. I am going to call her, the extra plant 😀

Noah88 Both of the plants grow well. The smaller one is of course a little behind, but nice to see it's survival ability.

Noah88 I was away for three days and had a watering system installed. The plants were quite wet, so next time I have to adjust the watering system. I lowered the lamp to 45 cm also. Trying to raise the temperature a little bit with a radiator close to the tent, I hope it works well. It is snowy and cold outside! Day 22. I managed to raise the temperature to 27 °C. Placed a USB fan inside the tent. Made the first LST to both of the plants. I might try replanting the smaller plant in a larger pot.

Noah88 Day 24. After watching a couple of very helpful videos about Low Stress Training, I realised I need to remake the LST I made on day 22. This time, I bent both plants towards the middle again, looking for some promising new nodes to evolve. I cut some of the bigger leaves. I replanted the small one in a bigger cup as well. It’s gonna be interesting to see how much abuse the little one can take. (Note to myself to do topping and manifolding next time I grow.) On Day 26, I gave them a sip of water before I left for two days. Cut a few leaves to give more light to her. Day 29 I gave them 1 litre of water, mostly to the small plant. Now I really need to let them grow more and hesitate to stress them for a couple of days.

Noah88 Day 31. All is fine, even though I think they grow a little slow. Tomorrow I might go to the shop and buy LED lights Day 32: Installed the 65W LED grow light. Significantly more light! Measured with a light meter on my phone, the light changed from 19.300 LUX with my old fluorescent 125W lamp to a stunning 28.500 LUX. Lovely! Day 35 I think I am giving them too much water. There are some small flies in the soil, and the branches were hanging a bit. They look a little healthier today. Will let them dry more until I give them water again.

Noah88 Day 39, I am troubled by the slow growth of the plants. When I replaced the lights with LED a week ago, I thought they would grow faster, but it does not seem like that. A couple of leaves on the small plant do not look healthy. Some small flies are buzzing around. I have made a trap for them: vinegar, honey and dish detergent, let's see how that goes. Day 41: The reason for the slow growth was small flies, possibly fungus gnats. Actually, the flies do no harm, but their maggot/larvae eat the roots of the plant. Today I started treatment with Nemablom. Small Nematodes that are supposed to kill the maggots. My vacuum cleaner was very good at "catching" the flies. The yellow sticky thing did not work very well, only one fly after 5 days... Day 45: The plants are still growing really slowly, but now they are starting to bloom. I did turn on the red LED light. I caught 4-5 flies, so the numbers are going down. I hope they will be able to grow bigger now that I have killed the maggots. Day 50: Still some flies, I gave them one more round of treatment. The plants have not grown significantly at all, and now they are flowering. I would have wanted much more space between the flowers... I try to do some LST but the branches are not growing much anymore. I am hoping to get a decent harvest anyway...

Noah88 Day 53. Only 2-3 flies today. I hope this second treatment will stop them. The flowers are growing slowly, but the branches don't grow anymore, so all the flowers are sitting very close. The smaller plant looks better, but has fewer branches and flowers. Day 57, Still some flies. The plants grow so sloooowww.... Day 60 Finally, all flies are gone! But lots of brownish leaves on the smaller plant, which I did cut away. Day 63, she is smelling more and more.

Noah88 Day 66 I am still giving them a little Root nutrients to compensate for the loss earlier. Maybe I should make some defoliation to give the flowers more light. I have been trying to separate the flowers with SLT, but the branches are not growing, so it does not help.

Noah88 Day 73: Today, I cut away some leaves shading the flowers. The flowers sit very tightly together and have to share the light. She is starting to smell quite a lot now. I think the carbon filter needs to be replaced before the next time I grow. Day 78, took some closeups today. From what I can judge, the trichomes are just starting to look milky. The pistils are mostly brown/yellow and turning around. I will wait a few more days until harvesting.

Noah88 Day 80, There are a few amber trichomes. I will wait a couple more days until harvest. Started flushing her yesterday. Day 85, Now almost all of the pistils have turned dark. Some amber trichlomes but still very few. Tomorrow will be my harvest day, which gives me time to dry the harvest before I leave home for 10 days vacation.

Noah88 Day 86, Time to harvest. I did wet trimming, and now they are hanging in the tent in the dark. Due to the flies and their larvae, the harvest was much smaller than I had expected. The smaller plant did not really look as she was ready for harvest. I will place them in a separate jar for curing.

Noah88 Harvest day! I got 26 grams of dry weight from the normal plant and 8 grams of dry weight from the smaller plant. I am not sure about the quality of the smaller plant; she had lots of yellow leaves. This was because of the flies and their larvae. Next time, I will be really careful with the soil. I think they came from there...
