SundancerS New year, new grow!
After three days, the Kush-Mint seed has already germinated.
We're really excited but also a bit nervous, as this is a new strain for us from a breeder we haven't tried before :)
We're still on safe ground, germinating in Lightmix, but that will change soon ;)
We're going to try our first grow with mineral nutrients and have also technically "upgraded" for that.
It's going to be an exciting diary with hopefully a fruitful outcome. :-)
We're also hoping for plenty of support from the GD community this time around.
Once again, a big thank you to Super Strains and Hy-Pro for supporting this diary, we're looking forward to it. 😀

SundancerS The Kush Mint has developed very well over the last two weeks, and that's why we topped it on day 13. Nutrient-wise, we are sticking to the Hy-Pro feeding schedule with an EC value of 1.2.
It shows no signs of over-fertilization and is growing and stretching nicely towards the light. The genetics from Super Strain have handled the topping very well, and the Kush Mint is already growing again the next day as if nothing happened.
This makes us very optimistic, and we look forward to the next grow week with her.
What do you think of her? 😎

SundancerS This week, the Kush Mint has really kicked into gear. You can definitely notice a strong growth spurt; the plant looks really good and overall seems very robust.
The strongly indica-dominant leaf shape immediately catches the eye, with broad leaves and rich green color. The little curly head is history. Now it's time for horizontal growth through Mainlining.
The Hy-Pro spray mix is still a bit unfamiliar, but the way the plant is standing, it seems to be doing her good. She looks very healthy overall, is quite thirsty, and absorbs water well.
So far, there are no signs of stress or indications of over-fertilization, and everything is in the green zone.
We're looking forward to next week with the Kush Mint, Hy-Pro, and you all.

SundancerS The last week of veg is officially in the bag. The plant is slowly signaling towards pre-flowering and clearly showing: "I'm ready for bloom."
Ah... the little ones grow up so fast. :-) Overall, she's looking really good: strong, healthy, and with sturdy leaves that inspire confidence.
Fertilizing with Hy-Pro is surprisingly relaxed. To be honest, we thought it would be a lot more complicated. The spray mix, on the other hand, is still a bit... getting used to. You spray, aim, think it over, and hope that in the end, the entire tent isn't shining. B-)
This week there was multiple LST, which the lady handled like a pro. No fuss, no stress, and for us, a clear indication of a robust and strong strain. The basic structure for flowering is now almost final, the stage is set.
We're expecting a manageable stretch and are now just kicking back and looking forward to what the next weeks will bring.
What do you think of our Kush Mint? 😁

SundancerS First week of flowering with the Kush Mint and the plan is going surprisingly well. A lot of foliage has been removed, not out of a desire for defoliation, but because light just doesn't enjoy playing leaf Tetris. The result is impressive: a nice, clean circular structure, just as hoped, almost too tidy for a grow tent. Many strong shoots are ready, evenly distributed and without crowding.
The stretch is noticeable but manageable. Classic transition into flowering, no drama, no surprise visits to the tent ceiling. The first signs of flowers are already showing and making a very good impression. Color-wise, everything is in the green zone, quite literally: lush, healthy, with no signs of stress or deficiency. EC is comfortably at 1.8, pH clean at 5.9, the plant is happily accepting everything and remains completely uncomplicated. So far, no difficulties, no fuss. A grow that’s almost suspiciously going well.

SundancerS In the second week of flowering, the Kush Mint decided that "moderate stretch" is something for beginners, and the growth spurt came surprisingly strong out of nowhere. After today’s session, she now stands with a clean, well-thought-out structure, as if she never intended anything else.
The crown is at an even height, all the branches are playing nicely on the same team, and the canopy looks pleasantly homogeneous. During trimming, it became clear: this lady is serious about her aroma, and the smell is intense, hinting at where the journey is headed.
Visually, she presents herself as healthy, with expressive, deep green leaves without any drama at the tips or edges. The EC is 1.8 and the pH is 6.0; so exactly where you want it at this stage.
She takes up nutrients cleanly and responds with vigorous growth.
Her thirst should not be underestimated; the substrate dries quickly and demands regular attention.
The stretch should soon reach its peak, after which the energy should increasingly flow into the density of the bud sites.
A lot of dynamics, strong structure, and a Kush Mint that is currently starting her flowering performance very convincingly. :-)
The fertilizer from Hy-Pro has been very impressive so far. Have you had any experiences with it as well?

SundancerS The Kush Mint has apparently decided to become a basketball player this week, with a solid 20 cm height increase speaking volumes. The stretch is still ongoing, but it looks like it’s slowly approaching the finish line and will soon be taking off its sneakers. Despite the growth spurt, the leaf color remains a nice deep green and healthy, a confident performance. The growth is pleasantly homogeneous, almost exemplary even, as if it has a blueprint in mind.
The numerous flower sites are noticeably gaining mass and are slowly transforming from "idea" to "project with ambitions." You can tell: structure is forming here, and it’s happening everywhere at once. With an EC of 1.8 and a pH of 5.9, the nutrient management seems to be hitting the mark perfectly, and she’s gratefully accepting everything. Speaking of grateful: 2.5 liters in two days show that the lady has quite the thirst and is running her metabolism at full speed.
The stems are sturdy and carry the increasing weight with ease, no wobbling and no complaining. Overall, the Kush Mint presents itself as vital, eager to grow, and right on schedule. If the stretch really ends in the next few days, we can soon look forward to the phase where she invests all her energy uncompromisingly into flower mass, and that will be exciting.

SundancerS The Kush Mint Auto continues to surprise us with its unexpectedly uncomplicated character, almost like a "snake charmer" among plants, preferring to stretch upwards rather than spread out. After the LST, most branches have obediently stayed at the same height, almost like a well-trained dog that has learned its lesson. The buds are noticeably gaining mass, as if they're secretly participating in a hidden eating contest.
A few yellow leaves at the bottom hint at the first slight autumn, or was it the watering mistake since we were a day late? Who knows, life isn’t a perfect schedule even for plants. The plant is now "frosting" nicely, the smell is getting more intense, and the Hy-Pro fertilizer?
Simply top-notch! The week has been relaxed, everything is going as desired. If it keeps this up, the harvest will be more than just a little highlight. 👌

SundancerS The Kush Mint continues its unhurried plan, like a plant that knows what it wants but doesn't need to rush unnecessarily. The grow remains surprisingly straightforward, no deficiencies, no dramas, everything healthy. The Hy-Pro nutrients are doing exactly what they should again, no frills, just efficient, almost like a well-oiled machine.
The bud development has surprisingly turned out quite nicely, almost a bit excessive for the little lady, but we’re not complaining. The “scar” from the topping is still clearly visible. Like a brave plant proudly wearing its battle mark, knowing that the bud development will only get more beautiful. The branches have recovered well and have grown strong. One could almost say she’s like an actor who gets the best roles after a “little procedure.”
The thirst remains stable at 1.5 liters per day, and the plant apparently can never get enough. The grow is easy-going for both the plant and the grower. The Kush Mint remains the relaxed star in the tent, stress-free but with plenty of potential. 😃

SundancerS The spontaneous vacation put the Kush Mint in an unexpected situation towards the end of the flowering stage, but she took it in stride. The Spider Farmer watering system worked excellently again, and while we relaxed, the buds gained mass brutally and demanded plenty of water.
The strain is listed for a 12-week harvest time, and it seems like that will fit perfectly, as we've already spotted amber trichomes. The Hy-Pro nutrients have really kicked in and given the plant a nice boost. It has also developed a very intense aroma. Overall, it shows that you can achieve solid growth even on vacation, and we're excited to see what happens in the last week. 😎😏

SundancerS And just like that, the Kush Mint is in its last week of flowering, an unstoppable growth hurricane that has overcome every hurdle of training. Honestly, we didn’t think it would still deliver such a powerful performance after all the LST, topping, and other tricks. No matter what we did to it, it just kept growing as if it was saying, “Training? Oh, that’s just for beginners.”
What really surprised us are the bud sizes, much larger than we originally expected or hoped for. It seems like it really kicked it into high gear in its final stretch. An absolute genetic gem from SuperStrains: uncomplicated, stable, and always in the green.
The plant looks simply beautiful and healthy, and the Hy-Pro nutrients have once again shown what they can do. In the last week, it only got water, and it treated us to a truly solid finish with its rich leaf color and healthy growth.
Now, of course, we’re super excited about the harvest, and to be honest, we feel like it has a lot to offer us. A little grower knowledge on the side: the Kush Mint has pulled quite a bit of water in this last phase, which has really pushed its final flowering. Now we just hope that the curing goes as smoothly as its growth.
We’ll keep you updated, of course: the harvest is going to be legendary!
Our first mineral grow with Hy-Pro fertilizer was a wild ride, and we were so nervous at the start that we almost needed relaxation cookies. But to our surprise, the fertilizer plan was so simple and straightforward that even a chimpanzee could have handled it. The Kush Mints just powered through, not even slowing down for a second despite our "I-don’t-know-what-I’m-doing" training. She didn’t even have time to take a break, she was simply unstoppable.
In the end, she showed us her best side: beautiful, stable buds and solid growth. The last few days? Colors so pretty they could’ve been featured in a plant calendar. Branches? Rock-solid, even with the big buds. The Super Strains genetics speak for themselves, clearly, someone was playing in the big leagues of breeding. The combination of fertilizer and strain was a real hit, and if you're not convinced, you've probably never seen a plant in 3D.
The only challenge? She was a bit of a diva during the curing process, but hey, the buds were a bit less fluffy but we’re complaining at a very high level. It’s been a pleasure, the grow was easy, and the Kush Mint definitely deserves a standing ovation! See you on the next grow! ;-) B-)

SundancerS Yes, we are finished. You can find a more detailed report in the Harvest report.
Wishing you much success on your continued journey with your amazing SuperStrains autoflowering ⭐ We’re excited to hear how Hy-Pro performs in the tough test with you 🤝💚
Right at the last stretch, there's often a really big boost. I see so many people who are impatient and then cut too early, and I think every time: Oh no, why are you doing that? Of course, I say nothing because I'm polite, and many take that as personal criticism quickly. 🤫🤪
@Kushycat, Somehow, despite experience, it always gets exciting at the end with each plant to catch the right moment. Generally, after a certain point, you can't go too wrong and can harvest when you think it's right. Only very experienced "users" will notice any difference at all. Unless it's extremely over or under, then everyone notices. Oh yeah, many feel personally attacked when criticized, so we don't do that anymore unless we're explicitly asked for advice. 😅
