womar Started LST; been maintaining VPD at 0.6 but upping it to 0.8; increasing watering quantities and adding bio grow

womar Switched from 18/6 light schedule to 20/4; increasing watering & fertilizer amounts; amped up the light from 50% to 60% intensity; upped VPD from 0.8 to 0.9

womar 2nd day of week 5, upped VPD to 1.0 to push it to absorb more water & nutrients from the soil; upped watering amounts & nutrients accordingly; trying to keep the canopy even, it is getting quite wide at this point

womar Had some issues with older leaves getting spotty and yellowing which I think was cal/mag deficiency so I started supplementing with that; while I was waiting for the calmag to arrive I had to give it a bit of a break in terms of lower light intensity, fewer hours & lower VPD; I ordered calmag from 2 different places to get it as quickly as possible and one of them accidentally sent me the wrong product (acti-vera) but they both arrived at the same time so I took advantage of the acti-vera to help the plant recover since supposedly that’s what it does This is technically preflower but I’ll count it as flower since they are visible now lol - pretty happy with the results of my LST considering it’s my first time

womar First day of week 7, not much to say - everything is going well. Did some moderate defoliation (only yellow leaves & yellowing ones that were touching the soil); looks like it’s going to stay pretty short which I am happy with since it’s got like 12-14 main colas

womar Week 8, day 2 The buds have grown tremendously (at least in my inexperienced opinion); this might be due to increasing the light to full capacity, which has also caused past deficiencies to show up even more in the form of spotting and yellowing of the fan leaves. After (I must admit) consulting with google’s very capable Gemini Pro 3 I came to the conclusion that the light increase caused the plant to grow faster than it could absorb nutrients. Hence, and considering the shorter distance between the top of the canopy and the light (11 inchest at its tallest point) I now decreased light intensity on the ionboard s22 to 60%. Hopefully this will stop the spreading of leaf issues as the buds are looking great so far. I also increased nutrient amounts to the ones recommended for the last 3 weeks of flowering as I don’t think it’s got much longer than that. Might do a no nute watering next time in case I overdid it this time.

womar Week 9, day 2 Things are going well I think, a couple weeks left maybe. There is definitely light burn, my mistake for keeping it at such high intensity even though it is pretty close to the canopy but fortunately it didn’t seem to affect the buds. Watching it get bulkier, ordered a loupe so I can examine the trichomes in more detail in the upcoming weeks

womar Week 10, day 1 Just monitoring the trichomes at this point (they’re all clear, glad that gives the buds more time to fatten). The light burn has completely stopped progressing after I adjusted the intensity.

womar Week 11, day 1 Trichomes still all clear, buds definitely bulking, I can notice a change in appearance. It’s funny when reading other diaries a lot of people seem to be in a rush to harvest whereas I’m just happy the clear trichomes give the buds more time to fatten. No idea what to expect in terms of yield, it’s a short plant but quite packed with buds - at the same time, they don’t form unified full colas like I see with other people. Will wait and see I guess. Also increased light intensity again to help it fatten in what I assume is the final 2 weeks

womar Week 12 - in hindsight, I probably really shouldn’t have gotten greedy and leave the light intensity so high, as now I’m almost running out of green leaves - even the sugar leaves have been affected to an extent. Live and learn, I’ll do better next time. The buds however are pretty chonky and definitely have some weight on them, I know they’ll lose a lot of it when dried but I can tell when moving the plant around by the way the branches swing they’re definitely heavy. Trichomes still all clear so I’m just hoping the remaining leaves can be a good enough energy source. Readded a little bit (1/4 dose) of bio grow to the mix to support a little bit of leafy growth for that reason. Removed like 15 completely yellow/dead leaves

womar Week 13 - trichomes getting cloudy, a bit of foxtailing, even the healthy fan leaves fading- everything pointing towards the end of this adventure. No nutes next watering and soon after that it’s probably chop time

womar Week 14 - only water today and next time (about 4 days from now) then probably the next diary update will be this little monster completely defoliated and hanging upside down in its tent.

womar Harvested day 102 from sprouting, will update with dry weight once it’s done drying. Honestly seems like a decent result, biggest lesson by far was how much light intensity matters (it scales exponentially not linearly apparently) - burned through almost all my fan leaves by the time it was done. Buds however seem fine and quite heavy. Will update Update: 124 grams dried lol that is so much more than I had expected it’s hilarious. Guess the extra light did boost the yield. Dried for 10 days, started curing in mason jars, couldn’t resist trying and it’s definitely berry flavored, very pleasant strain, started with a slight body high which made its way up very effectively, quite long lasting too. The scent when burping the jars is lovely, sweet like honey
