LivingSoilGrown Environment is more stable now, stronger stem forming, the initial early deficiency symptoms are not present on the new growth which is a good sign.

LivingSoilGrown This week i have topped the apical meristem to allow the lower growth to push through, i have also removed a few of the large fan leaves that were shading out the lower growth, this has given me quite a squat bushy plant. i am hoping that it will take off and start to stretch out. Its been a while since i've grown from seed and i will be starting the next seeds off around 3/4 weeks before this one is done. The AC infinity range has been perfect, its maintaining a great environment.

LivingSoilGrown Some light topping and retraining. I'm trying to open the structure of this young plant. This should help create a wider profile and make it easier for me to SCROG out in this smaller space. Everything very happy in the Ecothrive soil and the Maxibright 300w Pro LED.

LivingSoilGrown Cherry Strudel (Sensi Seeds)
This week has been all about shaping the plant and setting the foundation for what I’m hoping will be a heavy-yielding flower run.
She’s growing in Ecothrive Living Soil in a 56L Grassroots fabric pot, sitting under a 300W Maxibright Pro LED, with the environment handled by the AC Infinity setup 4” extraction and the Cloudforge T3 humidifier, all tied together with the 69PRO controller. Everything’s been stable, which makes a big difference when you’re trying to really dial things in.
I’ve been thinning out some of the growth this week and focusing on training, opening her up and getting light down into the canopy. She’s responding well, nice structure developing, and you can really start to see how she’s going to stack later on. I’m planning to take a couple of clones too, just in case she turns out to be a proper keeper. Always worth having that insurance.
I’ll be honest, I’m itching to flip her into flower… but I’m holding back. The goal here is maximum yield, and that means patience. A bit more training now should pay off big later.
I’ve also brought in the Blumat digital tensiometer to get a better handle on moisture levels. The Ecothrive soil is coco coir based, so it behaves differently to peat, it can comfortably sit wetter without causing issues. For veg, I’m targeting around 40–70 mbar.
I did slightly overwater at one point and saw it drop to 26 mbar for a couple of days. I backed off watering, and the tension climbed back up pretty quickly. One thing worth noting, soil tension isn’t linear. As the soil dries, water becomes increasingly harder for the plant to extract, so the tension can rise faster even if the actual volume of water being lost isn’t huge. It’s less about “how much water is left” and more about “how tightly that water is being held.”
Other than that, it’s been one of those satisfying weeks where you just stand back and watch her do her thing. Healthy growth, structure coming together nicely… all heading in the right direction.

LivingSoilGrown Things are still going well; I've added in a PVC frame for a SCROG net. I've got a second tier for early flower. I'm hoping to train her out over the next week and get her transitioned into flower. I've taken a couple of clones which I will keep going in a separate vegetative area. I'm really looking forward to getting her into flower and seeing how the terpene profile develops. It's been many years since I grew from seed, and it's been a real reminder of how slow it is compared to clones. I will be setting the next generation of seeds off for this space in mid-flower so there isn't any downtime. Ive been trying to maintain a soil tension range of 30-70. a decent watering does drop my Blumat digital tensiometer to around 20 quickly but i find once the moisture levels out it climbs to around 30 after an hour or two

LivingSoilGrown This week is week 1 of entering flower with the Sensi Seeds Cherry Strudel, I've got the SCROG frame up with the first net in place, I've trained her out a little better and she is coming through the net now. I've no idea how much she may stretch but I've got a second tier net ready. I also applied 3 TBSP of the Ecothrive Soil Food Grow. Soil tension on the Blumat digital is being maintained in a range from 30 millibar to 80 millibar. Lighting at 100% (300w)

LivingSoilGrown Cherry Strudel, filling the net out well. Definitely not a stretcher, looks like I should hopefully get some nice nugs, I’m looking forward to seeing how the terps come through.

LivingSoilGrown Everything looking good still with the Cherry Strudel. Not getting any strong cherry terps yet. I've started supplementing 40ppm of magnesium from MgSo4 to try and see if it helps with the slight fading out, i was suspecting it was from the intensity of the LED, although only 300w i was getting a DLI of around 50 which is way too high. I've raised the LED slightly and applied a light top dress of the Ecothrive Soil Food Bloom. I've added a small clip fan to circulate air around the upper canopy and I've got a 5 inch RVK fan circulating air underneath the canopy.
