CyberOtter420 I must be mad...
For some reason i had it in my head that i can squeze another plant into my 700x700 flowering tent. Im a sucker for variety and to do that i will have to be very strict with defol/lollipoping and also employ mainlining (a new technique to me) - its still not without complications and pruning will likely be a son of a bitch to do, but whats life without a challenge ay..
Strains:
The previous 2x grows prior to these now wer from the mother and clone of a strain "Future 1" from amnesia seeds.
That strain was a long flower pheno and i dont smoke herb i vape flower also some stealth QISO for the public missions haha, anyway Future 1 was harsh, a peppery hit thats a bit too much for my throat.
I long for the old school Jack Herrer hits i used to get about 15 years ago and i may even do a Jack grow in the future but for now ive chosen to replace F1 with GSC and GDP.
GPD:
Why choose that - want to see what the hype is around Grand Daddy Purple - if its goood enough for snoop then its good enough for me - and of lol..
I am looking for massive body effects as i suffer with rather bad insomnia from having ADHD.
GSC: Girl Scout Cookies - No idea why i chose this... Originally i wanted a strain called "Mafia Family" but couldnt find it outside of the US.
The clone in this is from the mother thats in flower now (diary is available though my profile), the supports for the mainline are a 3D print i knocked up to assist in structure but im printing a load of Kinex parts that should sufice... The tie downs are expandable as she grows so theres no real restrictions later on.
Think ive worked out the timings right so that i can mainline the cookies and top/mainline the GDP giving a couple of weeks growth on a mainline to have a mini harvest, as long as the canopy is even (hence the mainline) the age wont matter too much.
Like the mother all these grows are tracked (by some rather OTT Excel spread sheet š ) and i mentioned in the other diary that this area is a work in progress. I've made the Dual SWC (if thats a thing) and the aeroponics cloner, will need to make another slimline cloner one to fit my new ambition of whacking 2x strains mainlined and this cloner into this... yes a 600x400x600 space.
Like i said - i must be mad lol
Game on and lets have a little luck shall we!!!!!
Happy growing

CyberOtter420 Week 6!
Had a little more free time this week and got stuck into AutoCAD for an hour or so. Smashed out the MKII mainline frame. I could just use ties like everyone else does but this is me OTT and quite frankly barking mad hahaha
The design is a lot better, with a rear expansion socket, and loads of anchoringās... its also anchored to the basket, this will allow for a simple lift and shift from one Water Culture to the next.
More resins on the way to print another 3x of these off.
Plenty of new growth this week, GDP now at the end of week 2 has had her first feed, also transplanted into a staging SWC, the root structure looks good and it was definitely ready for a small feed. Slightly stunted it actually. TDS of 120 & She should start to bounce back in a few days.
Been looking at that cloner also , needed slimming down to accommodate my new mainline size. Back on the 3D printer mish, made some collars to fit some plastic jars I bought, personally I love how they turned out I just need some black spray paint to blackout the bottoms. Made 4x which is enough for my cloning needs, 2x of each ensures a backup and to make sure I will also run the backup 4x pot giving me 4x of each but I have a near 100% clone rate using aeroponics and clonex. In time i will retire it. I have an actual full size 24port cloner from the old setups (works slightly different) but the same principle... There's no one way too grow, we pick up things on the way and change things to suit our needs.
Looking ahead at future space issues, with 5 to 6 potential weeks to go I still have several tops to do which should stall it with the recovery period(s), but the growth in the last week alone is... well its concerning lol. Will see how she goes!
I have another option but I need to think about the light and ventilation. I may ditch the Jardin tent and make something custom, thereās more space outside that tent.
Anyway, all good so far, seems to be handling my bastardized approach, more to follow.

CyberOtter420 Week 7 Veg!
āI think weāre gonna need a bigger boat captain!ā
Easing off the photos this week as there not much to see in a vegging plant.. all the actions in the flowering.
That said lets start with it having gone native ! š
The apex colas outgrew the mainline, the mother was vigorous, and it comes as no surprise that the clone is. In a swift move she was topped across the whole thing a couple of days ago. Above node 3 on the branch nodes have been chopped in addition to the mainline apexās.
Like the mother its laughing at me and still growing.. Very little reaction but its still early, the mother had a brief spurt after then chilled for 4-5 days as auxin is redirected. A great sign of a healthy plant but I will need to do some mad Japanese LST shit in the next few weeks as the flowering area isnāt free until I reckon another 19 days.
Thank whoever that it looks to be a quick flowering pheno, but i guess the two come in hand - resistance and speed.
I have taken clones from the cuttings in anycase⦠but I may have to make more cuts yet if it doesnāt slow down. At least I will have options but clones this early worry me with timings later on!
Whilst on cloning, I gave the new pods a hillbilly spray job with a rattle can, and I think turned out amazing! Covered in a mainline canopy they should root no problems⦠Turgor is being maintained and they look healthy not to mention aesthetically pleasing š
GDP at this point looks to have no chance in this grow to compete with GSC, but thereās a glimmer of hope. Timing was always off as I chucked the idea in, 3 weeks into mainlining the rooted clone⦠my hope now is to get clones off it (tie the grows together over time) and treat it as a āwhatever I getā freebie grow to be left in its apical form (maybe some LST), will see what the canopy is like at the time orrrrr, Depending on rooting speed oof the clones takne or future clones maybe being taken I could just mainline it and the next clone to the grow afterā¦
Currently building node 3 (22 Days from seed), since it was moved into the new SWC its at the back of the veg area⦠looks ok if not a little scrawny. I have appliead a small circulation fan to assist in strengthening.
From the move though its reacted well to full strength nutrients, a calculated risk, to shoot to 800ppm but a risk I had to take as Iāve almost ran out of boat lol.
Its getting crazy, and a lot of wait and see what happens. ā More to follow!

CyberOtter420 Week 8 Veg,
Literally now waiting on the flowering area to be made clear. 12 days there abouts.
As you can tell I had to drop the propagation tent and expanded out into that area where it was held, any additional space is welcome as she is now an unstoppable beast.
New custom DWCs are ready for the transplant, cant wait to use them. The temporary container this GSC is in, is not ideal. Made it work though lol.
Not impressed with this GDP genetics so far. A first for 00 Seeds for me, i have another to germinate and it may have just been shit luck on this one.
I heard itās a bit of a problem child to get going but at 4 weeks its barely on node 3! Will see what she holds in the coming weeks as its not being flowered this time around, it will join the clone from the current mainline (assuming I donāt get issues with my clone pods) STILL no root bumps and Iām thinking thereās maybe too much light but tbf the last clones of GSC took 11 days to show root bumps so thereās time yet.
The mainline support frame is just about holding on. The power of her snapped the retaining sockets for the footings lol, but Iāve shored it up with support wire. Might be a back to the drawing board.
I have given it the first of a few defoliations, hopefully this will aid in slowing her for a few days, knowing now that GDP is NOT going into flower this next grow I can let it go rogue a bit to fill the 70x70.
Overall itās a beauty and I cant wait to see the canopy she will make.

CyberOtter420 GSC Clone / GDP Week 8 Veg.
An interesting week.
Removed all the custom mainline anchoringās I made, and re-anchored the stems to the basket. I will revisit the idea again with a new stronger prototype.
As best as I could to tame her, Iāve created a dual spiral config of sorts, The canopy is even enough and it should be fine, only snapped one arm but i've shawed it up and its still connected - should knuckle up.
Will Screen the canopy during the late stretch in flower and just keep an eye on the branching⦠100% it will require some training as she comes up.
Cloning Successful!
Never doubted the new clone pods š. Although i was concerned a few days ago having surpassed the last clone rooting timeframe (mouthful).
They ARENāT heated, creating a slight stall on them rooting. This actually plays into my favour and i'll take every delay i can. Took 16 days in total when under heat the last clone rooted in 11 days. No doubt this will come down as the year gets warmer, its still winter.
In any case its game on for Round 3 of GSC. I have ambitions of keeping her running a while. The genetics are very strong, great base to start some trials to maximise its true potential. I Always like clones, this one in particular is a double cola šš
Still unsure what to do with GDP. The genetics are possibly crap but im persevering with her and hoping she will have a better growth in its own SWC. Iāll run it along with the next clone and make a decision later later... I believe its actually an ok plant just never stood a chance agains that GSC clone.
To that end im on the hunt for a couple of new SWC Containers. of the right size... I have the whole cabinet to revisit in the summer as it was an emergency change to accommodate that rogue mainline but I need supplies to build it with that I donāt have atm. I think theres enough room to accomodate 2x of the new DWCs but i need it all clean and clear to work it all out. That and time!
Not long now to flowering

CyberOtter420 Well, i took the decision to kill off the GDP.
No roots poking out of a 14cm Net basket, the Genetics were not good, having gone 5 weeks and yet to build node 4! Nothing really done different to any of my other grows, I did a root check revealing next to no growth and some slight browning. I had my doubts and so i killed it off.
I do have another seed to have another go in the future.
I have always given names to my plants. The mother was called "Tinkerbell" and it felt right to give this lady a more butch branched off name - "TinkyTonk" seemed fitting.
I have posted a picture of the next clone "Tinker's" (due to the nice double branch on her)
And still on my quest to put 2x in my flowering tent i thought i would have a 'gro' (haha) at the strain Black Domina aka "Merlin".
This looks epic on paper... Northern Lights, Ortega, Hash Plant, and Afghani SA with reviews of it being a great sleeper weed.
Timings wise it finishes slightly earlier than GSC meaning i can push it into heavy narcotic amber. GSC is no pushover but if i can get a good hybrid off the GSC and a knock out on the BD - happy days.
"Merlin" will be transplanted this week hopefully. I have 2x new DWXs to make first.
Because the mother has done that well in training and is very resilient, im thinking i need to be a bit more aggressive with the next one and bind it to the shortest height possible. And when i say agressive i mean with the cutters...
Im off to a promising start with merlin, looks to have a good root mass going and i will transplant it into the resting DWC later in the week or weekend.
Im thinking the spiral theme is a carry on kindo thing as it worked wonders for GSC.
With good defoliation and localized culling im certain i can perform a multi layered twist on this strain, and to add to that im really going to have too!
It's truely remarkable that i contained her for 9 weeks in a space only 700w X 700H x 500D.
I have the old lights installed now, New DWCs to put in and hopefully a new system as detailed above.
