BlkThroatedWind 3 plants growing nicely, 1 is lagging behind

BlkThroatedWind Overall the plants are coming along nicely, the plant on the lower left is kinda runty but I planted 4 S1 seeds so I’m expecting variations.

BlkThroatedWind Let them veg a bit longer in order to fill out the canopy. Flipped to 12/12 on Feb 3rd. Will install screen this week to help with LST.

BlkThroatedWind Tucking fans this week and watching the stretch.

BlkThroatedWind Had to leave them alone for about a week and came back to a jungle. 2x2x5 is too small of a tent for these incredibly vigorous plants. In retrospect I should have flipped to flower right at 4 weeks.

BlkThroatedWind Resorted to supercropping on quite a few of the largest stems due to the fact that I have no more height left in the tent. I’ll use LST as needed to keep the tops from burning but at this point I’m ready to watch these plants begin to stack resin. I also cleared out the under canopy growth to allow for airflow and reduce the humidity inside the tent. I am doing my best to mitigate any risks.

BlkThroatedWind Added an AC Infinity tent heater in order to help with the temp and RH. I’m completely out of room in this tent and will likely run this at 50% RH out to the finish.

BlkThroatedWind Spanish Moon needs a tall tent… I have been bending tops and trying to keep leaves and buds away from the diodes. The smell inside the tent is amazing. Very sweet, some tropical fruit and skunk on the stem rubs. I added an AC Infinity AI+ controller to help ensure proper VPD inside the tent. With this much vegetation I really wanted to mitigate the possibility of mold.

BlkThroatedWind Continuing to keep the density down by trimming fan leaves. Buds are frosty and stacking resin. I’m keeping VPD between 1.3-1.5 to encourage resin production. These plants are also drinking a ton at this point- I’m topping up the reservoirs every other day.

BlkThroatedWind Ripening and bulking. The aroma has gone from sweet cotton candy and pineapple to sweet and sour pork, mild skunk/dirty feet. Fermented fruit. Resin is traveling down the length of the fan leaves which is wild. Super excited to watch these calyxes swell up.

BlkThroatedWind Had a hard time trimming, this plant just wanted to keep vegging and stretching. For anyone considering this strain, allow plenty of vertical space. The flower has been incredible so far - very potent with effects leaning towards a relaxing indica type profile. Ended up with between 6-7 oz at 62% RH so not bad, especially since it’s a good presser and I’m turning most of it into flower rosin. Cheers!
