Borberad Operation "Baked in Hossegor" Welcome to our grow diary! In this project, we document the complete cultivation of the strain Baked in Hossegor from the breeder Lazyboyseeds. We share our observations on morphology and genetic traits under controlled conditions. Strain Profile – Baked in Hossegor (Lazyboyseeds) The Promise Genetics: Baked in Hossegor is an exclusive, feminized hybrid from the cross of French Breakfast and Apple Strudel. Lazyboyseeds combines European gourmet genetics into a unique profile. Growth & Development: The plants exhibit vigorous growth with a structure that embodies both the elegance of its French ancestors and the robustness of Apple Strudel. We use a Spiderfarmer plant stand (54W LED) on three levels for the seedlings before moving them to the main phase in the Homebox R120 or our DIY box. Flowering Duration: The flowering time is estimated at an average of 8 to 9 weeks. During this phase, we expect the formation of compact, resin-rich flower clusters. Terpene Profile & Flavor: The aroma is complex and reminiscent of a continental breakfast: Sweet pastry notes and creamy nuances are at the forefront, complemented by the fruity depth of the apple strudel. Effect: The effect is predicted to be a balanced hybrid effect – relaxing and soothing (like a morning on the coast of Hossegor), without losing mental clarity for further botanical analyses. Legal Disclaimer & Compliance This grow diary is intended solely for informative, documentary, and scientific purposes within the framework of private home cultivation. We place the highest value on compliance with applicable legal regulations. Week 1 – The Birth Hour (Day 1) Status: Experiment started. Location: Spiderfarmer stand (Germination level with the carnivores). Methodology & Germination Protocol To maximize the germination rate and weaken the integrity of the seed coat of Baked in Hossegor, the following protocol was applied: Hydration: The seed was soaked for 10 hours in a 1% H2O2 solution. This serves for sterilization and improved oxygen supply for the embryo. Transfer: After successful hydration, the seed was placed directly into a prepared Easyplug (~30ml). Climate: The placement in the germination tent stand ensures constant conditions, 📊 Current Parameters Light: 18W LED (dimmed over distance to 140 ppfd / 9 DLI for the germination phase). 25°C and 60-65% RLF Substrate: Easyplug (pre-soaked). 📝 Observation: "The seed looked vital. The hydrogen peroxide treatment is our standard procedure to avoid risks with exclusive genetics. We are now waiting for the first signs of chlorophyll. Week 1: The Germination Week – Baked in Hossegor The germination of the seed for Baked in Hossegor has begun. Day 0.1: After the 10-hour soak in 1% H₂O₂, the seed was planted in the Easyplug. Day 0.2: The first patience phase begins. We are waiting for the seed to break its shell. The climate in the germination tent is stable at 25°C. Day 0.3: The soil has been breached! The plant appears as a "helmet bearer." A targeted drop of 24°C warm osmosis water helped successfully strip the seed coat after 5 minutes. We have increased the DLI to about 12. Day 0.4: Sensation in the lab: The cotyledons have unfolded and show a rare mutation: three instead of two cotyledons (tricotylism). The light intensity has been increased to 16 DLI. The surface was mulched with dry coconut to prevent algae formation. Day 0.5: The plant shows vigorous growth. The mutation is confirmed in the center – three true primary leaves are already forming at a 120° angle. Day 0.6: Due to the massive root drive (roots were already peeking out from the plug), the plant was repotted into the 400 ml Easy Cube. Day 0.7: The plant has perfectly survived the move to the cube. The relative humidity is around 60–65%, which promotes a strong root system. Fertilization & Measurements: No fertilizer needed (depot in the cube). Pure osmosis water.

Borberad Week 2 General Status The second week was all about establishing itself in the Easy Cube. The little flower is showing strong and vital growth. The root system has not yet penetrated through the cube. Development: The plant perfectly maintains its fascinating trifoliate symmetry. The stem is exceptionally thick for its age, indicating high stability. Special Features: Shows strong guttation (water droplets on the leaf edges), which indicates a very active metabolism and high root pressure in the cube. Status: Compact, strong, stable Climate Values & Care Light: Spiderfarmer 18W (Germination Tent) Water: Osmosis water, adjusted to EC 0.3-0.4. Special Note: The cube was deeply moistened again to maximize root growth for the final push in the cube.

Borberad Week 3 Topic: Establishment in Living Soil & Setup Upgrade General Status The third week marked the crucial transition from the seedling medium (Easy Cube) to the vegetative system. Hossi successfully moved into a 3L fabric pot with "Borberad" Gromix (Herbis + ???) on February 14th. At the same time, the germination tent setup was upgraded from 54W (Spiderfarmer) to a new 150W Mars Hydro shelf. Individual Analysis Baked in Hossegor (The Symmetrical) Development: Maintains its rare tricotyledon mutation (3 leaves per node) stable. Observation: After repotting, the new growth in the center shows a brighter, fresh green. This indicates a quick metabolic start and the beginning of nitrogen uptake in the new substrate. Status: Vital, compact, and stress-free growth. Technical Adjustments & Care Substrate: Switch to Borberad Gromix (pre-cooked). Root Support: Inoculation with mycorrhiza directly into the planting hole during repotting. Light: Mars Hydro (2x 25W per level) currently at 330ppfd. Intensity was kept moderate at first through distance regulation ("block method") to avoid light stress during the growth phase. Climate: Spatial separation from the carnivores ensures optimized air circulation. Outlook for Week 4 Roots are expected to fully explore the 3L pot. First root check (at the bottom of the pot) planned for February 21st.

Borberad Week Topic: Tricotyle Vitality and Nutrient Connection A flawless start to the new setup The plant continues to maintain its rare and fascinating tricotyle symmetry (three leaves per node), resulting in an extremely compact, bushy growth. The slightly lighter new growth from last week has transformed into a rich, vibrant dark green. This confirms that the roots have successfully tapped into the Gromix and that nitrogen is fully available. Depending on the time of day, it shows classic "praying leaves" (leaves pointing upwards) – an indication that it feels extremely comfortable in the new environment and has ramped up its metabolism.

Happy Harvest Day!

Due to the trichome mutation of the little plant, the actual genetics can only be assessed to a limited extent, if at all. It has definitely been stress-resistant and fun in growth. The scent is currently a bit minty, floral, and slightly earthy. Looking back, it was quite nice to go through such an extreme mutation, but it definitely wasn't worth it in terms of yield. 118g wet with stems including sample (estimated around 80g wet) dry weight to follow.

Borberad The color of the trichomes changed very early; normally we harvest significantly earlier. We were a bit surprised. On flower day 55, we wanted to give her another 1 to 2 days, but 2 was probably a bit too much. So we just have a good sleeping little flower. 😆
