DonEspas Great start for the 3 strains!
All my seeds from Advanced Seed have germinated (12/12 💦🌴)
Previously, I did the same session (Zkittlez/Gelato #33/Forbidden Fruit Cake) and the plants are looking beautiful.
My goal as a grower is to maximize quality over quantity. If both go hand in hand, I'm fine with that 💪🤓
DonEspas Slight defoliation on one plant to encourage the growth of the intermediates. One plant seems to be struggling, but I think it's the result of the accumulation of stresses I've put it through (topping + repotting + slight defoliation).
All the plants have small internodes (0.5 cm to 1 cm max). We're good ⚡🌴.
The companion plants seem to be developing well too. Especially the nettles, acidic pH + well-nitrogenated substrate!

DonEspas Look, you can see nettles growing at the base of the plants. This indicates a substrate with a slightly acidic pH and especially rich in nitrogen (the nettles will consume the excess nitrogen and help balance the pH of the substrate 😛).
Growing conditions aren't everything. Each strain and also each cannabis phenotype has different needs to express their potential. Genetics matter a lot, so setting concrete criteria and sticking to them when selecting the parents of the seed by the Breeder is treeeeeeees treeeeees important. It seems more sensible for someone who wants quality to work with a strain or see clones of a strain and learn to understand their needs to optimize the expression of certain genes that interest them.
For example, here: You can observe that under the same climatic conditions and light exposure, plants of different strains will react differently to environmental conditions and will differ in terms of structure (branch thickness, height in cm, spacing between levels, leaf coloration).
From my experience, the taste quality of the finished product depends approximately on:
70% genetics 🏆
15% cultivation 🥈
15% drying and curing 🥈
I'm talking about taste quality, not aesthetics or quantity. The balance of percentages would be different.
Happy Sunday to all the growers 💚🌴
Forecast of actions for next week:
- Tuesday preparation and start of the TCO
- Wednesday watering with TCO
- Friday very light watering with water
- Sunday moving to the flowering box + watering with water + weekly review on growdiaries 🤙

DonEspas After all these traumas, the plants will spend 2 weeks recovering.
Plan:
- TCO watering
- Controlled addition of Co2
- Stable climate conditions (27°/68% humidity)
DonEspas Good recovery for all the plants I mistreated
Another week of recovery for my last tired plant and then Blooming 🌈😎🤳
A magnificent TCO to revive the beneficial bacteria. The roots are going to be happy 🌈💅
Forbidden fruit: 2 phenotypes that are influenced by the genetics of the parent "Tangie" but without the orange. We find the skunk#1 expression. For forbidden fruit, it's meh, a waste of time and money (3/10)
Zkittlez: 6/10
Gelato #33: 5/10

DonEspas Pre-floraison
1 TCO

DonEspas Premature harvest
Cause botrytis 🐉👀
I sorted the moldy buds from the non-moldy ones
I hope it doesn't spread any further thanks to my cleaning 😔🙏
Drying on a net with a bit strong ventilation but not directly on the buds (see photo/video)
The buds smell like sweet fruit and kush ♥️🏴☠️
The effect is there
The taste leaves something to be desired, big lack of intensity
The best bank I've been able to use so far in terms of taste and yield is "The High Caméleon."
With the well-known banks, I've really never been satisfied; every time it's nice, the grow goes well, but the taste of my weed clearly leaves something to be desired. It's cheap!
I'm done with seed banks. I'm going to make my own varieties; it will be less disappointing...
Bye

DonEspas Harvest of Gelato #33
The buds are dense
The trichome coverage doesn't seem very significant yet the smell is there!
In my opinion, the smell is average but pleasant
It smells like dessert cream and gas 🤷🐉
🌿💚 Amazing progress! Everything is dialed in perfectly 👌🔥 Respect! I also document my grows on YouTube—would really appreciate the support and love 💚📺🌱
