CFL 250W has finally arrived, precisely for start of veg period. At this moment only using passive air circulation so temperature is reaching higher threshold. Humidity between 40 and 50%, but may invest in humidifier soon. At the moment I'm trying to increase it a bit with two bowls filled with water. Despite all that, the plant looks healthy. It's my first ever grow so any suggestions are most welcome :)

Second week of veg phase has started. First problems have occurred as well... 30/05 - mistakes are still happening... today while attempting to do more LST and expose stems from lower part of the plant I destroyed two small branches. I also decided to cut off one leaf on purpose. I watered the plant with 1l of water + 1 ml BioGrow. Interestingly, I'm observing a fast growth of new stems after cutting of parts of the plant. Perhaps a little bit of defoliation cause stress that release more powers to the weed. Well, I should leave the plant alone for a couple of days now so it fully recovers. Conditions were very good - it was relatively cold outside so I left my window slightly open which let cooler air into the box and the temperature inside was perfect today, around 25 Celsius. Humidity was around 50% so also very good. As the temperature is going to raise in the following days, I will also turn a mixing fan on (I set it outside the box to avoid lowering humidity too much). Hard times but I still trust we will go throught it :) 27/05 - thing have improved a little so I decided to test the plant and carry some more LST. I bent top further to the right trying to let more light shine through the girl. I will refrain from further LST until stems are more developed, for now should be ok. Tomorrow I should water it as well, will mist it a bit before bed :) Please let me know if you think the LST is too radical. My reasoning is better to train harder when the plant is young. New stems are weak due to the above-mentioned problems. Also, as it's getting hotter outside, it's also harder to maintain the temperature. It's now around 33 Celsius. I switched exhaust fan in the box today. Let's see what happens. 26/05 - only return from three days long absence. Unfortunately there was no one to look after my plant and I found it in a quite sorry state. I notice the hear or too much light has pierced holes in leaves. The temperature could not have been moderated so it could have been little too hot as well. I had to cut off a few leaves and expose lower parts of the plant that looked very weak and fragile. Recovery has begun. If you have any suggestions, please share :) Thanks!

06/06 - end of week five. Pistils are now showing proudly :) As it's an early stage of blooming, I've decided to go for some defoliating and the results are surprising to me. It doesn't seem to affect my plant and it's still growing vigorously. Seems my strain is rather strong, I'm regretting not investing in better lights :) Well, step by step... Some additional LST is being done trying to expose smaller buds. Today I decided to go for 1,5 ml o Bio-Bloom and hopefully the plant responds well so I can increase to 2ml next week. It's also getting hot outside so it's difficult to maintain proper temperature. Exhaust fan is now working all day. Also mixing fan is sitting outside and blowing cooler air one of the air holes at the bottom of the box 24h. So far it's 29-30 Celsius and around 40% of humidity which I think is acceptable for the flowering stage. 01/06 - some more LST and defoliating done, but just a little bit. Adjusting lights so all tops would get equal amounts of light. The plant looks more like a bonsai tree at this stage but let's see if this would be beneficial. All potential buds have now easy access to light so I will be monitoring progress as from now and only corrections will be made. Today I also added two remaining nutrients for the first time and I hope this will be a start for my girl to grow like mad :) As I mentioned, this is my first ever grow so if I fail, tough. I will learn from my mistakes :) Of course any comments and suggestions are more than welcome! Thanks for checking! 31/05 - did a little bit of lst, trying to expose smaller stems that will eventually turn into buds. Also cut of small leaves and tiny stems underneath that are not getting much light so the energy would switch into bigger ones that are under the light. The plant also seems to be growing in a way that the air is flowing between stems and leaves easily. Trying to maintain 40-50% of humidity, Today no exhaust fan, only humidifier is turned on in a room. Tomorrow or Sunday will be first watering with extra nutrients so hopefully growing of the plant will now accelerate a bit further, The time has come :) Happy to see that after a few difficult days the girl is recovering well and has started producing pre-pistils. The real journey is starting now!

13/06 - final day of week six / flo week two. Not much done with the plan, only a couple of leaves cut to give more exposure to light to buds. Temperature is around 30-32 Celsius, humidity 40%. The growbox is partially open but so far no smell issues :) 11/06 - heatwave is here to stay so struggling with temperature still. Mixing fan is on 24/7 so sometimes humidity goes down til 30% but the plant still looks fine and progress is visible. To compensate the conditions I water the plant daily. It doesn't show signs of overwatering so far simply because 1L per day seems quite reasonable amount of water to add each day atm. Also did some more defoliating today. The plant is responding well so even though I'm newbie I'm not skeptical towards this particular method, especially that I'm trying to be reasonable. Let's hope it will put its whole energy into producing nice buds, even if conditions are tough :) 09/06 - very hot outside so decided to put the plant on the balcony. perhaps I shouldn't be doing at this stage but fortunately not much is seen from the ground so the plant has enjoyed a sunny beautiful day and had some fresh air blowing through its leaves and stems :) happy with its development at the moment 07/06 - second flowering week has started. The main issue is now temperature and maintaining humidity. I am satisfied with growth however heatwave has arrived and it's becoming more and more difficult to keep the temperature as low as possible. Since autos are not light-sensitive I am considering switching to night time lights but let's see. So far it doesn't look too bad. I put mixing fan inside and so far it's maintaining 40% humidity which is great. The temperature is a bit of an issue, reaching now 35 Celsius, however the fan is cooling the top of the plant so I believe the temperature there is lower. No light stress, no droopy leaves, perhaps this strain is harder than I thought :) Let's see what this week brings.

Could anyone answer me If I should cut underdeveloped buds that are not receiving much light in order to switch energy to the more developed ones? I've heard this should be avoided but I'm just wondering. Thanks!

16/07 - received an advise to cut down on boosters as leaves look a bit dark and pistils are getting brown too fast. So today I only added water (2l), perhaps will repeat for another round next week. Still leaves are not getting any signs of 14/06 - new week, new challenges :) so I've rethought my watering habits and I've decided to switch to more water in one go. Although buds are building up nicely I think there's always room for improvement and after some research I think I'll see how more water/lower frequency will benefit my plant. No training today, just watching it grow :)

28/06 - end of week 8 (reviewed my timeline and we're in fact at that stage right now) - temperature outside has been a bit better this week, despite forecasts so conditions inside the tent are perfect at the moment. I also raised the light a little bit to encourage growth but mostly to improve temperatures near tops. I watered the plant last night - 2l of water, a little bit of Top-Max. Due to holiday plans I intend to harvest in around 3 weeks. A breeder, Monks Seeds, claims this variety should be ready within 75-80 days so hopefully my harvest would still be potent enough :) Smell has increased and thankfully I live alone so it doesn't affect anybody else. I keep the tent partially open and save on electricity since ventilation is under control. Hope my neighbours are not affected :D Thanks for any comments and observations! 22/06 - day two of week 8 - lst abandoned completely, it's too late for any amendments I believe. Let the nature works itself here, it has already given me great experience and hopefully mistakes will be avoid in the future. Main points are: early lst, do it every day, do it until flowering is in mid stage. A historical heatwave is coming to the area next week (hope forecast are incorrect) so not a comfortable situation for indoor growing however I will try to use fans so fingers crossed. Another important thing - this week I'm continuing flushing of the plant. This is to get rid of some nutrient excess I was giving my girl at earlier stage. With dedicated soil, I trust only adding a bit of Top Max won't do harm as it contains very small amounts of nitrogen. I hope despite the plant being auto kind, it will have time to recover :) I'm happy with big buds but I am wondering why the middle ones, with the same exposure to light, are considerably smaller. Do bigger ones kind of such energy and leave not much food for others? If you have your observations, please share :) Thanks a lot!

04/07 - just entering mid of week 10, as it turned out. Never been good at maths haha! Growing condition are more under control this week. As the temperature has decreased a bit, it is fine inside the growbox, also with humidity being somewhere in between 35 and 45%. The smell is very powerful and only hoping building ventilation doesn't distribute it to other flats haha Anyway, those last weeks will be watered without any nutrients. My plant has been overfed for weeks so I'm not risking lower quality here. Sometimes less is more. I only add a tiny bit of citric acid to lower water pH a little bit. Good lesson for the future. :) Enjoy!

Day 70 - snow in the summer :) We're nearly there. The leaves are slowly turning yellow, flushing mode on, July is much cooler than the previous month so it's much easier to maintain conditions. Harvest next week it seems! I'd like to keep it for a bit longer but time is running fast and the holiday trip is just behind the corner. Anyway, a big job ahead, cutting, trimming, drying, curing... Never done any of this before but I can't wait! :)

Good overall, happy with my first harvest. Several bumps, road cut a bit short but still produced good number of colas and quality buds. After maturing taste has improved, now I'm looking forward to increase my experience with other strains :) See you in my next diary soon!

Looking good ... Just got done harvesting a Northern Lights Auto & a AK-49 Auto myself. Currently waiting on my White Widow Auto to finish up. Check them out if you can. I wish you the same success.Good luck with the rest of your grow

A big factor in which buds get the biggest is how tall they are, the plant sends hormones to the highest branches to promote them.

@Alpaca, Unfortunately I can't wait this time due to holidays so need to harvest all at once but can try it next time, why not! Thanks again!

@666_420, in my opinion cutting is alright but harvesting the top colas first and letting popcorn develop for a few weeks extra will result in a few more grams overall. First grows are very fun and you learn a lot, good luck on your last weeks bro

@Alpaca, this is why i got rid of tiny undeveloped buds, around 5 in total, recently. I'd rather have fewer colas but indeed I want my plant to concentrate on the highest ones. A few buds in the middle are smaller but since it's my first ever grow I will do a 'post mortem' and analyse what can be done better next time in order to improve LST :) Thank you for your comment!

Getting ready for my next project too. This time I will be attempting to grow two ladies. AK-47 auto and Northern Lights auto, the latter from Royal Queen Seeds so looking forward to try that revered strain. Hope time is not an issue this time and will be patient harvest in the end. Stay tuned!

Guys, a question if you don't mind - do you think I should change watering pattern? Should I actually add more water and give an extra day off or leave it as it is? (roughly 1l per 2-3 days). Thanks!

Hey, just checked your strains and indeed, seem very impressive. I can't expect such yield as my light is not as good as yours, and of course it's my first ever grow. But thanks for nice words!
