First ever grow. Germinated Fugue State and Hubbabubbasmelloscope following Mephisto Germination method however ran into some issues as I stupidly let the paper dry out because it was too hot. This meant Fugue State only cracked almost 3 full days after, and HBBS 5 days after. FS sprouted 1 day after plant.
RH sitting on average 40% and struggling to get this up. I think I might've drowned and killed the HBBS so will continue monitoring. All in all, still very excited.
Because HBBS took so long to germinate, I decided to germinate another. Within 24 hours of germinating the new seed, HBBS cracked and grew a tail so I decided to plant it. Is the new seed still usable given it's cracked (no tail yet)?
I'm unsure what to say about the progress as we approach the end of Week 2. I think I stunted growth during week 1 when I did let it dry too much. Also don't know if I am over watering as leaves are drooping a little. Humidity is swinging wildly as I bought a humidifier however was faulty. Any feedback welcomed :)
Also started a grow for Sweet n Sour #31, learning from past mistakes and is looking decent.
Restarting the diary. Only have one photo for week 4, but it looked like it was on it's way out. I was also very close to scrapping the plant but decided to keep it as a souvenir plant seeing as she is my first baby after all.
I have been feeding her with nutrients with every water, and there was one point during this week where I decided to flush her. Her health improved and started growing more branches which I have been tying down with.
She looks a lil sad but nothing love and care don't fix.
She stretched and grew this week, and is getting very frosty. As some one who has never grown, this was fascinating. I think i stared at the plant for about 30 minutes thinking that was as frosty as it gets.
Boy did she stretch (by my standards) this week. Hints of purple appearing on the plant even though I have been keeping temperatures between 20-25 celcius. Could potentially be lack of nutrients?
I "abandoned" this diary at about week 3, however I did not stop taking photos and recording her progress. We are however all caught up from week 4-8 now, e.g. uploaded photos for weeks 4-7. I haven't been consistent with taking a photo every day, but oh well.
To sum her up, she is short and frosty like a snowman. I have been watering her every second and she seems to be taking it ok. Leaves on day 56 show some signs of potentially PH fluctuations. PH of water run off when tested at the end of the week is sitting at 5.4 which I think is a little low for coco, even though water going in has always been at 5.9-6.0 so i'm tempted to PH up on my next feed. Not sure if this will be a good idea however.
For end of week 8, most of her pistils are still very straight and white which could indicate she has a long road ahead?
