Managing temperatures hasn’t been easy lately, as they tend to stay slightly on the low side due to cold conditions outside. To help stabilize the environment, both intake and exhaust fans are scheduled to run for 10 minutes every 3 hours. Day temperatures stay close to 21°C, while nights drop to around 15°C. Strong stems, deep green color and very active development across all branches. Overall, everything in the grow is running smoothly, no surprises and no setbacks. Just steady, controlled progress. This week they received their first feeding with Gout Fertilizantes: • 2 ml/L GB • 1 ml/L WG1 The transition into nutrients was clean. No tip burn, no stress symptoms, and growth remains balanced and vigorous. We also managed to raise both daytime and nighttime temperatures by a couple of degrees, which they clearly appreciate. Metabolic activity and overall vigor improved noticeably. Watering has been increased to 500 ml per plant to match their expanding root system. Uptake is consistent and stable. Due to their highly vigorous growth pattern, we performed apical topping this week in order to interrupt apical dominance. By removing the primary apical meristem, auxin concentration at the apex is reduced, allowing a more balanced hormonal redistribution toward lateral meristems. This stimulates the activation and elongation of axillary buds, promoting a more branched and uniform plant architecture. As a result, vegetative structure becomes more optimized, future light penetration improves, and overall yield potential during flowering is significantly increased. Removing the weaker bottom branches allows the plant to concentrate its metabolic energy on the upper bud sites that will receive optimal light during flowering. At the same time, resin is already starting to appear on both calyxes and surrounding sugar leaves, hinting at strong trichome production and a promising terpene profile ahead. The stretch is coming to an end. This genetic typically slows down vertical growth around week 4 of flowering, reaching roughly double its size compared to the start of the bloom phase. From this point on, energy is redirected into bud formation and density. At this stage, flower development has reached its peak, with dense, elongated, and heavily resin-coated colas dominating the entire canopy. Vertical growth stopped completely weeks ago, allowing the plants to focus all remaining energy on final bud swelling, resin production, and terpene maturation. The calyx stacking has continued intensifying during these final days, creating harder, heavier flowers with a much more compact appearance. The apical topping performed earlier in the cycle continues proving highly effective. Light distribution remains uniform across the canopy, allowing every main top to finish evenly and reach maximum flower density. Resin production is now at its absolute highest point. The trichome coverage is extremely thick and homogeneous, extending across flowers and surrounding leaves, giving the plants that fully frosted finish characteristic of the final ripening phase. The terpene profile is now completely mature and highly expressive. Strong classic hash notes dominate the aroma, backed by fruity touches that become deeper and more persistent as the flowers continue ripening. Structurally, the plants remain stable around 105 cm, already showing the natural late-cycle senescence expected at this stage, with yellowing fan leaves and visible nutrient consumption throughout the plant. Although the crop was already within its ideal harvest window, we decided to extend the flowering one extra week due to the indoor room remaining inactive throughout the summer season. This additional time allows the plants to fully complete the secondary flowering response triggered by the unusual environmental conditions experienced during the cycle. During mid-flowering, outdoor temperatures dropped significantly lower than expected, slowing the plants' metabolism. Shortly after, temperatures unexpectedly increased for several days before dropping again. These sudden fluctuations caused a partial reflowering process in some areas of the plants, generating a second wave of floral development that we’ve decided to fully mature in order to maximize final yield, resin production, and overall flower density. Durante estos últimos días, el apilamiento de cálices ha seguido intensificándose, dando lugar a cogollos más duros, pesados y compactos. La poda apical realizada durante el cultivo continúa marcando claramente la diferencia. La distribución uniforme de la luz ha permitido que todas las puntas principales terminen al mismo nivel y alcancen una densidad floral muy homogénea. La producción de resina se encuentra ahora en su punto más alto. La cobertura de tricomas es extremadamente abundante y homogénea, extendiéndose por flores y hojas cercanas y aportando ese acabado completamente escarchado tan característico de la fase final de maduración. El perfil terpénico se encuentra totalmente definido y mucho más intenso. Predominan claramente los aromas a hachís clásico acompañados de toques afrutados que se vuelven más profundos y persistentes conforme avanza el final del ciclo. Estructuralmente, las plantas se mantienen estables en torno a los 105 cm, mostrando ya la senescencia típica de final de floración, con amarilleamiento de hojas grandes y consumo natural de reservas internas. Aunque las plantas ya se encontraban dentro de su ventana óptima de corte, se ha decidido prolongar una semana más el cultivo debido a que la sala indoor permanecerá parada durante todo el verano. Esta decisión también permite terminar de madurar completamente la segunda floración provocada por las condiciones ambientales sufridas durante el ciclo. A mitad de floración, las temperaturas exteriores descendieron bastante más de lo habitual, ralentizando parcialmente el metabolismo de las plantas. Posteriormente, de forma inesperada, las temperaturas aumentaron durante varios días antes de volver nuevamente el frío. Estas variaciones tan bruscas provocaron una ligera reactivación floral en algunas zonas de la planta, generando una segunda floración que hemos decidido dejar madurar completamente para obtener un extra de producción, resina y densidad final.
