Jelly between Venus and Mars

Automatics_Gourmets The first week starts off relaxed and uneventful. The two cuties settle in at around 8-9 cm and are in excellent health.

Automatics_Gourmets AJA1 needed a little support at one point due to strong leaf growth.

Automatics_Gourmets The two cuties are developing splendidly, but the double lamp power (230W) is noticeable on Venus. AJA1 has also been topped and has coped well with it. At 12 cm, AJA2 is slightly smaller, but only consumes half the amount of water.

Automatics_Gourmets While the Jelly at Mars can grow comfortably, the Jelly at Venus feels quite at home despite lots of light and a little HST.

Automatics_Gourmets While AJA2 is growing comfortably, AJA1 is having a bit of a harder time and has had to endure quite a lot. But that doesn't seem to bother her much, and she is spreading out nicely.

Automatics_Gourmets Whilst AJA2 has been able to grow undisturbed and is therefore a little further along in flowering, AJA1 has been moved to a larger pot and is being pruned back down regularly.

Automatics_Gourmets The two little ones have reached their final height and are now focusing entirely on flowering. Even though they are both roughly the same height, the effects of the training are clearly evident in AJA1

Automatics_Gourmets Despite the early flowering stage, both plants are developing extremely resinous buds, and a very fruity, lemony aroma is also noticeable. With AJA1, only a few leaves were removed and the branches were tied back down a little.

Automatics_Gourmets The two ladies are nearing the finish line, so next week it’ll be all about water. Although the height difference is only two centimetres, their progress couldn’t be more different. The double light cycle and slightly higher temperature for Venus are making a noticeable difference. On the subject of smell: perhaps it’s time to invest in some air filters; the Amnesia Jelly really stands out in that respect. Two small buds have already fallen by the wayside and were harvested early.

Automatics_Gourmets Over the last few days, the buds have continued to develop, and the distinctive smell has now filled both flats.
