BlossomB Tropical Thunder: Small Setback & Restart Unfortunately, there's a brief update on the Tropical Thunder that didn't go quite as planned: the first seed unfortunately didn't make it. Sometimes you just can't control it; nature is nature. Plan B: I didn't waste any time and immediately watered the second seed. As you can see in the photo, it's already showing its best side! It's already sprouted in the glass of water and is carefully poking its little head (the root tip) out. The restart looks very promising. Now it's time to keep our fingers crossed that this "thunder" shoots up from the soil soon!

BlossomB Tropical Thunder: Rolling in with Strength 🌩️ 🌿 Growth & Vigor 🌿 My little "Thunder" is really spreading out nicely! Even though the Tropical Thunder is a good 10 days younger than her sisters in the tent, she shows remarkable stability. 🌿 Development 🌿 You can really see how she's trying to make up for lost time. The side branches are starting to stretch, and she's filling the pot space better and better. 🌿 Nutrients 🌿 The Tropical Thunder is absolutely thriving in her current substrate. As long as the leaf color stays so healthy and she shows no signs of deficiency, I see no reason to chemically intervene.

BlossomB 🌿Steady Growth & Vigor🌿 While my auto is setting its own pace, my Tropical Thunder is currently showing why it deserves its name. It's developing beautifully and seems completely unfazed by the environmental influences that are bothering its neighbors in the tent. 🌿Vigor & Development🌿 The plant is full of energy. It has a very rich, healthy green and is forming a nice, symmetrical structure. You can tell it's fully enjoying the current vegetative phase – it's growing compactly, building strong stems, and allowing its fan leaves to unfold nicely. 🌿Planning & Training🌿 I'm currently very satisfied with its development. Since it's photoperiodic, I still have all the time in the world to give it the perfect shape through targeted training. So far, it's growing very uniformly, which makes me optimistic for the coming weeks.

BlossomB 🌿Die Tropical Thunder🌿 is developing beautifully and shows a very vigorous, bushy structure. This week, it has gained a lot of leaf mass and is establishing itself as a strong plant in the tent. It has also been topped now.

BlossomB 🌿Tropical Chimera🌿 shows beautiful, broad-fingered fan leaves with a very healthy, deep green color. The internode spacing is perfect – compact enough for good structure, but with enough space for air circulation. 🌿Root Power & Vitality🌿 You can tell she feels great in the fabric pot. She responds extremely well to the nutrient solution and shows no signs of stress at all.

BlossomB 🌿Tropical Thunder is literally exploding this week🌿 It's turning into an absolute bush. The genetics are showing their best side: beautiful, deep green fan leaves that are bursting with vitality.

BlossomB ☀️Strategic Light Change (12/12) & The Vacation Test☀️ This week there was a fundamental change in the setup. Since I was on vacation starting Tuesday and the plants were completely on their own, I officially switched the timer to 12/12 on the day of departure. 🌿​This had two strategic reasons:🌿 🌿​Climate Control: To reduce heat buildup in the tent during my absence. 🌿​Resource Management: Fewer light hours mean a lower metabolism, causing the plants to consume significantly less water and making it easier for them to get through the days without a gardener. Thus, the vegetative phase for the Tropical Thunder (far left in the tent) is over and the flowering initiation has begun!

BlossomB 🌿Tropical Thunder is really kicking it into high gear this week🌿 It's stretching its branches up high and developing a very nice, sprawling bush structure.

BlossomB 🌿Tropical Thunder is progressing well in the flowering phase🌿 The bud formation is slowly picking up pace, and beautiful white hairs are forming at all the tips. However, the space in the tent has become a real challenge this week. The Tropical Chimera, which shares the tent, is an absolute monster and takes up almost the entire space. As a result, Tropical Thunder has very little room to really expand. Even though it's a bit cramped and being pushed to the side, it's holding up well. The leaves look healthy and a vibrant green. There are slight purple discolorations on the leaf stems, which is quite typical for these tropical genetics. Because it's so tight in the tent, I'm paying special attention to strong airflow to prevent moisture pockets from forming between the overlapping leaves of both plants. I'm curious to see how the buds will gain mass in the coming weeks!

BlossomB The plants show a deep, even, and extremely vibrant leaf green. There are no signs of nutrient blockages, burns, or deficiencies. Flowering onset.

BlossomB 🌿Tropical Thunder 🌿 The stretch is almost over now, and the lady is fully switching to flower production. For this early stage, I'm absolutely thrilled with the development! ⚡️

BlossomB 🌿Freedom from the prison🌿 The Tropical Thunder finally has its own tent. There has been a big change. I freed the Tropical Thunder from its "prison." My original plan to grow two photoperiod plants in a 120x120 tent turned out to be unrealistic; it was just way too cramped. Now, the Thunder has its well-deserved spot in its own tent. Since it was previously very cramped and partly in the shade, it needs to get used to the new light situation. For this reason, the LED intensity is currently only at 50%.
