rolling_roots So this is my first ever grow, started 6 seeds, but only 1 successfully sprouted after 8 days due high temperatures. Not the start I expected, but we focus on the one that showed up strong.
Running a fully amended living soil mix, direct sow into final pot to avoid transplant stress. Outdoor grow — humid nights and hot, dry, sunny days, also low wind, so airflow management will be key later on.
No nutrients yet. Just water and patience.
Straw mulch will be added in week 2 to stabilize moisture and activate soil biology.
One seed, one chance. Let’s see what she can do.

rolling_roots Week 1 is complete and she’s looking healthy and stable so far. Good color, steady growth, and no visible signs of stress or pests.
She’s currently in a 5-gallon fabric pot with about 3.5 gallons of substrate. So far, she has only been watered with well water (no pH adjustments) and I’ve applied Max Root to support early root development.
No nutrients yet — just focusing on establishing a strong root system before pushing growth. Weather has been hot, dry, and sunny, so I’m keeping an eye on moisture levels and avoiding overwatering.
Planning to let her build strength before making any major inputs.

rolling_roots Week 2 is complete and the plant is slowly building structure. Growth has been steady and the new leaves are forming well. Overall the plant looks healthy and stable.
Watering:
Throughout the entire week I only used well water, without measuring or adjusting pH. Watering was kept light to avoid over-saturating the living soil. The plant received about 300 ml every two days.
Environment:
Days have been warm and fairly dry. Around 28–32°C at noon, with relative humidity ranging between 35% and 55%. The plant appears to be handling these outdoor conditions well.
Changes made at the very start of Week 3:
- Applied a light root feeding: 1 ml Max Root mixed in 400 ml of well water.
- Watering schedule will now shift slightly to ~400 ml every three days as the root system expands.
- The fabric pot was moved into direct sunlight to increase daily light exposure.
- Added a straw mulch layer to help regulate soil temperature and retain moisture in the living soil.
Damn... Sucks to hear that dude. Hopefully you can figure out what went wrong and make adjustments. Do you think it was the heat? Not sure where you are at, but here we just had temps spike in the 90's °F
