Red Poison spotted on Saturn

Automatics_Gourmets The Red Poison is growing like a rocket and showing tremendous growth. Her water requirements (partly due to the pot size) are relatively high for the third week.

Automatics_Gourmets Growing 40 cm in a week, Red Poison is a real rocket 🚀 🚀 Apart from regularly tying back a few branches, raising the lamp every day and the fact that it needs plenty of water, this little plant is otherwise quite easy to look after 😅

Automatics_Gourmets Growth has slowed down and the plant has entered the flowering stage. Given the size of the tent, Saturn can’t increase the distance from the lamp any further; he’ll see if he can tie it down a bit over the next few days.

Automatics_Gourmets The plant has reached its target height and, fortunately, is showing only a slight sign of heat stress at the top. Water consumption is enormous compared to the other plants, but this is likely down to its size. Thanks to the generous spacing, the buds are all getting plenty of light and are growing visibly.

Automatics_Gourmets Whilst our first grows with Red Poison last year weren’t quite as successful (bad weather, storm damage, mould, incorrect fertiliser dosage, etc.), this lady is now really coming into her own! The height of 1.40 m (including the pot) is also the maximum for Saturn – the lamp can’t be hung any higher... but that doesn’t bother the Red Poison, and so the buds are getting really fat.

Automatics_Gourmets The "little" monster is nearing the finish line and has been given nothing but water for the last few days. As usual, the Red Poison Auto is extremely fast and produces extremely pungent buds. It’s one of our favourite strains, and for good reason.

Automatics_Gourmets Apart from the main bud and a few smaller shoots, everything was discarded straight after the pre-harvest. So the fat lolly got a few extra days – even if it wasn’t a pretty sight. To ensure that Saturn did not exceed the legal limit, as in the previous grow, a large portion of the harvest was disposed of early. Only the giant bud with a few smaller shoots was dried, and the estimated total yield was then extrapolated.
