Starting my first try at autos and outdoors at the same time. Will be soaking the seeds for 24hrs or until they drop and then transferring them to wet paper towel until I see the tap root and then into peet pellets and a humidity dome.
*update* Day 13 - Moved the peet pellets into the final 3 gal pots and started them outdoors. Will be moved inside at night for the next week.
Not much to report, the seedlings are growing nicely in the window sill and will transplant into 3 gal smart pots in the middle of this week.
Just starting week 4 and they seem to be on the small side I think but they look healthy and are growing rapidly now so I hope they can get a little bigger this week so I can start some lst.
They are finally starting to take off, starting some LST this week and hoping to get some new tops. Two I will just be bending and tucking leaves so the growth sites get plenty of sun and the third one I am bending the whole plant to see if I can get it sideways with a lot of branching. The fin begins this week.
I think these guys are going to finish on the small side but I have seen great growth in the last week and hopefully the lst will boost their yeild to make up for their small size. They are starting to smell amazing, the cheese in them has made the smell very impressive.
Plants are flowering nicely and are starting to stack tightly, the LST has been successfull in opening up more bud sites and will stop the LST now that they are in flower.
Everything is holding steady, in full flower mode they are stacking nice and tightly and I can see formations of bugger buds coming.
Up until now they have just been fed water but they recieved a compost tea this week and will hopefully see results soon.
compost
worm castings
molasses
kelp meal
Airated for 26hrs
Lst is really paying off, all the buds are stacking tightly and they all look healthy. Atleast 2 more weeks but we are in the final stretch which is getting exciting.
In the final weeks now and everything is looking great, I have been feeding compost teas once a week and just water in between.
The 2 plants that I used LST on are clearly going to produce more than the 1 didn't but I curious on the exact difference. 1 more week to go to reach the breeders 75 days from seed, I think 1 of the 3 will be ready then, but the other 2 may take a but longer.
Day 75 is here and just as Dinafem claimed these girls are ready, well 2 of 3 are and they look great. Humidity will be high for the next 2 days so I may hold off on the harvest so it doesn't wreck my drying period.
This was my first attempt at growing outdoors, growing an Auto and growing completely organically. These plants smelled fantastic while growing and kept that great smell after drying. The smoke is smooth and the high is even better. I was really pleased with the quality the only thing that was disappointing was the low yeild which I think was due to the 3 gal pots. I have one more plant a month behind but in a 5 gal pot to compare the difference.
May I ask a question mate?
How many hours of sun are the ladies now getting?
And
Have you had a wet/rainy start to this year's outdoor season?
Plants do look a little on the small side which I'm hoping now "summer" is her we will see a little more vigour 👌
Thank you for this week's outdoor update mate 👊
All the best ✌️
Mark..
They get full sun all day, Here in Southern Ontario that's about 16hrs right now. They have not seen rain, they are moved into a greenhouse when it rains so I can control how much water they get.My only thought on their size is that they spent to much time early on in the windowsill as it was to cold to go outside.
@Hipposcottamus, That could very well be a contributing factor mate, with Autos those first 14 day's are critical, the slightest wrong move or a "finiky" plant can be stalled growth wise 🙄
With that said you've still got some decent growth and nice work with the LST 👍
Opening up the canopy for deeper light penetration and will also be beneficial with air movement around those budsites 👌
Nicely done so far my friend 👍
All the best ✌️
Mark..
I agree, they are being transplanted into their final pots and moved outside this week. Unfortunately my only source of light is the windowsill until the get outdoors.
Another AutoDinafem adventure up and running on the grow diary platform and this time it's our White Cheese Auto being grown outdoors 👌
Best of luck with the grow my friend and thank you for choosing our genetics for this outdoor adventure 👍
I would get them into the finish pots as soon as possible mate as Autos hate being potted up and having those roots disturbed 😉
All the best ✌️
