derFranke Unfortunately, my plants are stretching. It's a live test for my propagation box. I put a hygrometer inside to check, and I found that the humidity at 70% is great, but the temperature of 30 degrees Celsius is way too high. I had to leave the door open.
But at least the plants are still stable enough to support themselves. I'm planning to install a small exhaust fan. Slowly but surely, the box is turning into a micro grow tent^^.
Normally, I would only start the first week of vegetation once the plants are transferred from the seedling pot to the right pot and under the proper grow light. I didn't know that you can only select the germination phase here once.

derFranke Alright, now the end of the second week has been reached, so day 14 after planting. Since I'm using the Blumat system for watering, I thought a lot about how to carry out the fertilization. After some extensive research, I found out that using a small amount of water from above doesn't disturb the Blumat. That's why I thought of using 100ml for each plant (so a total of 600ml).
So far, it doesn't look too bad for me, and since I wanted to test a sort of SOG with this grow (sure, way too few plants, but we're really limited in the number of plants here^^). I'm just curious how big the plants will get and especially what kind of yield is possible per plant. What I wanted to get at: I'm starting the stretch today, so 13/11. I'm counting on 14 days until I activate the flowering mode.

derFranke By the end of the third week, my plants have put on quite a stretch. I'm happy that they're growing so well, but they've stretched a lot. I think I need to adjust the light mix a bit more.
Flowering characteristics are not visible yet.
I've definitely noticed why you should plant the plants up to the cotyledons. You can really see how thin the stem is and how thick it gets from the cotyledons onward.
Maybe it's also due to my mistakes^^

derFranke The flowering has clearly begun. That's why I turned on the UVB lighting: between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM, duration: 5 minutes, cycles: 4 times.
I sprinkled the Bat Guano on top like with the top dressing and mixed it into the soil.
The plants are a bit tall but look very good. I'm still thinking about the light mix.

derFranke The buds have grown really nice and big this week. Either it's due to the UVB or maybe because I've been feeding this grow throughout the entire cycle. In any case, I'm very happy with what’s growing. The smell is a pleasant cannabis scent.
At least my current approach feels right to me.
As you can see in the pictures, I have fluorescent tubes with 6500k 55w per tube mounted on the wall. I hope that I can better control the height growth during the veg and stretch phase. These tubes are of course not active yet since I'm already in the middle of flowering.

derFranke Es geht gut vorran. Die Blüten werden immer dichter.
Was jetzt gerade reinknallt ist die Frühlingshitze und habe unter dem Dach (da wo meine Pflanzen stehen) schon 26 Grad Celsius. Bis her passt die Temperatur ja und die Luftfeuchtigkeit bleibt mit meinem Luft befuechter sehr stabil.
Man erkennt das die Pflanzen die untersten Blätter abwirfen. Ich denke das liegt daran das dass Licht nicht effeizeint genug dort ankommt.
Ich beobachte das weiter und wenn ich sehe das auch die höheren blätter gelb werden, werde ich etwas Hesi Grow zugeben bei der nächsten Düngung

derFranke I'm always excited when I see the pictures from 7 days ago and what has happened in that time. The buds have become really nice and thick. The lower leaves are slowly falling off, and I would say that's the normal process of maturation.
Since the stigmas are also turning brown in parts, I'm taking this moment as the start of the aroma phase and have turned off the UVB light. I've also turned off the red-heavy light. I lose 100 ppfd, but I'm hoping for better preservation of the terpenes. I'm also lowering the nighttime temperature further now (5-6 degrees less than during the day), which should additionally protect the terpenes.
I estimate it will take another 2-3 weeks until harvest.

derFranke The trichomes have developed nicely. This means I will enter the Living Death phase and will put them in water for 5 days in darkness. I hope this will break down the chlorophyll shells so that during the subsequent drying process, the chlorophyll can decompose more easily.
I have stopped fertilizing, and the Blumats system is also closed.
After that, I just need to dry and trim. But you can definitely say that 8 weeks of flowering time can be counted from the switch.
derFranke That was my first real grow where everything went pretty well. What makes me really happy is that my DIY setup worked out great. That means for me, I will now dive into the system.
But now, onto the grow itself:
The timing went very well, and I can now say with certainty that the 8 weeks of flowering starts from the switch to 12/12. From there, it really is a Fast Flowering. The growth was nice to watch, and the aroma development was really great (intense, but I love that smell). As for the nutrients, I didn't get the impression that it was too much or too little, but to be honest, I still lack comparison values. I had planned to adjust the nutrient amounts and then compare, but I will only do that once I find a strain that perfectly suits my taste and effect.
Unfortunately, a small mistake crept in, as one of the Blumat drippers somehow got misadjusted. At least it stopped dripping and started flowing like a waterfall. One plant got completely flooded until I noticed it. From that point on, I closed the valve and only watered that one plant by hand.
The harvest went completely smoothly. I cut the buds individually and placed them in my drying box. Out of curiosity, I sorted the harvest by plant. I was interested in how many grams such an individual un-topped, short veg, and no training plant can yield:
7.37 g
4.8 g
5.21 g
2.22 g (that was the defective Blumat)
3.9 g
5.17 g
I find it really interesting to see what consistent watering with a system makes in terms of difference.
Here are a few more statistics:
Total costs for the grow (electricity, soil, nutrients, plant protection, seeds): €114.04
That results in €3.95 cost for 1 gram (that makes me happy :D)
My system generated a total of 839 DLI
My electricity consumption was 247 kWh
The entire cycle lasted 11.3 weeks (from seedling to harvest)
