stutch Next grow. Speedrun Seeds Slamberry * Orange Portal, let’s see how this stuff performs. Into the water on Sunday, March 1st; 24 hours later into a root plug; then germination two days later on Tuesday, March 3rd. This time, I didn’t germinate directly in the coco substrate because I was fed up with all the watering; this way, I can use a pipette. I cut off the bottom third of the plug and removed the bottom of the plastic surrounding the plug. This allowed the taproot to reach the air quickly to stimulate the development of lateral roots—let’s see if it works. I picked up this trick from one of Ben’s videos from Speedrun Seeds; I’ll see the results in 10-12 weeks during the root analysis.

stutch EC 2.35 PH 6.0 Drain: EC 1.44 PH 7.1 15.03.: nutrient solution increased to 3.5ml TA Grow 17.03. Autopot put into operation. 0.4g/L Epsom salt, 1ml/L TA CalMag, 3.5ml/L TA DualPart Grow Hard Water. PH always adjusted to about 5.6. The plant is growing even faster than my last record grow, I’m curious to see how long she can keep up this pace. I’m feeding at ~2.3 EC and about 6.0 pH. The runoff is sitting at around 1.4 EC with a pH of 7.1, which is a bit concerning. It’s likely due to leftover water from rehydrating the coco bricks, but the plant still looks great - so I’m not going to start watering at 5.6 pH just to chase the 'perfect' numbers. Next time, I’m definitely going back to pre-buffered coco. The mess isn’t worth the few bucks I saved. ______________________________________________________________ This plant is growing even faster than my last record grow, I’m curious to see how long she can keep up this pace. stutch Woche 3 geht los. ________________________________________________________________ Week 3 is underway. On Tuesday, March 17th (Day 14), they went into the Autopot system, the nutrient solution is being kept constantly within a relatively high EC range. Even towards the end of hand-watering, the runoff was significantly higher than the input pH, but honestly, I don’t really care because the plant still looks 100% healthy and vibrant. Growth is extremely stable, it's pushing upward and outward with great uniformity and impressive speed. Temperatures are a bit on the low side due to the large distance from the light, but I wanted to try this approach this time around, and so far, it seems to be working well.

_______________________________________________________________ Update March 29, Day 26. The plant has some slightly burnt leaf tips, but nothing I’m worried about yet. I’m lowering the pH to 5.6 as soon as it has risen to around 5.9. EC is holding steady at 2.4. Every day, I’m tucking the large fan leaves under the smaller side shoots to ensure a nice, even canopy. That said, the genetics are already doing a great job of avoiding that "Christmas tree" shape on their own. Really happy so far, she’s much bigger than my Papaya Cookies were at this stage in the last grow.

stutch The plant is growing like crazy. I lowered the EC from 2.4 to 1.9 because the leaf tips were getting a bit too pale. Otherwise, everything is running as usual. The growth is just insane, the plant's shape looks like it’s been trained and I haven’t done a thing. I’m a bit worried for the upcoming stretch, I think it might actually outgrow the tent. First world problems, just the way I like them! :)

stutch 09.04.2026, Tag 37: 83cm hoch. ________________________________________________________________ 09. april 2026, day 37: 83cm large. The lower third of the tent is getting pretty dark, but I’m going to wait until around Day 45 to give her a heavy defoliation. My goal is to achieve maximum airflow in the middle section of the plant. Most high-yielding grows seem to feature long, standalone colas reaching upwards, and that’s exactly what I’m aiming for. I realized my pH pen hadn't been calibrated in 6 weeks. The actual pH in the reservoir was 5.2 instead of the targeted 5.6. I corrected it immediately - lesson learned. Moving forward!

stutch The plant is doing pretty well so far. For the past 1-2 weeks, I stopped adding CalMag since my tap water already contains over 119mg/L of calcium. However, the brown spots are telling me that was a mistake. I’ve now corrected it to 145mg and adjusted the magnesium accordingly using DualPart Bloom. The light is at its maximum height, and the plant has definitely outgrown my tent—and I absolutely love it. All those little tops reaching for the light are exactly what I was aiming for. I’m hoping they’ll all develop into thick, dense buds, leading to a solid harvest with minimal trimming work.

stutch Tag 51 insgesamt, Tag 2 von Woche 8. The plant has developed massive spots on the leaves, despite a 2-day flush with TA FlashClean I haven't quite managed to get it under control. I’m not sure if it's still a big problem. For the next run, I might try mixing tap water with distilled water to reduce the carbonate hardness and the necessary amount of pH down. But you never stop learning, and I guess most people would be happy to have such a plant in a small tent. Still, I want to get better at recognizing the needs of the little plant based on the leaves and adjusting accordingly. I don't know if it was due to the messed-up pH over the last 1-2 weeks, or the consistently high EC, a combination of both, or a general lockout from maybe too much pH down. It's a bit frustrating, but hey, I have a 98.5 cm tall bush in my tent that's going to yield a ton of weed :)

stutch Over the last few weeks, the appearance of the leaves has been getting worse and worse. In week 8, the water in my AutoPot reservoir spoiled within just 2 (!) days; the hoses were completely clogged with gunk from previous runs. I always cleaned them thoroughly between cycles, of course, but I was still able to push out a massive amount of sludge with a brush. It was a huge amount. I suspect I had some bacteria or something similar in the system - it definitely tested my patience. I’m not sure if the plant’s nutrient deficiencies are related to this. Additionally, to reduce phosphorus levels, I mixed 5 liters of distilled water with tap water to adjust the water hardness. Next time, I’ll do this right from the start; I’m done dealing with these kinds of problems. I just need to figure out how to manage the increasing amounts of water, as I’m tired of lugging all those bottles around. And honestly, I feel like a reverse osmosis system is a bit overkill for a hobby.

stutch Start of week 10. I can’t seem to get the watering under control, and the plant is losing leaves every day because it’s having some kind of issue. I’m fed up with it, so I’m just going to let it keep growing until the trichome color is right. Then I’ll harvest it, and for my next grow, I’ll definitely use organic fertilizer in the growing medium. Those few extra grams don’t justify the stress I’m putting myself through right now for such a small amount of weed.

stutch I neglected to calibrate the pH pen again, and instead of the 5.75 I initially measured, the reservoir actually read 5.36. Not cool, but it’s my fault again. And at least it happened toward the end of the cycle. Right now I’m figuring out when to harvest the plant; other than that, I’m done with this grow. Made too many mistakes again and didn’t learn anything from them, story of my life.

stutch I get the feeling the plant has picked up steam in the home stretch. It’s drinking a lot more water again, and the buds have gotten another little boost. The trichomes look good; I’ll most likely harvest them this weekend. Update: On day 80, I removed most of the leaves, just before the plant's “day” begins I’ll chop it and hang it up.

A good strain with a really interesting flavor. At first glance, I’d say it’s fruity weed with hazy notes—we’ll see how it turns out in a few weeks. Visually and flavor-wise, it’s definitely top-notch.

stutch I harvested the plant on day 81/82; to be honest, it looked like it would yield more weed. It came out to 171.1g, and even though that’s a lot, I was expecting a higher yield compared to my previous grow. But when I think back on the last few weeks and the nutrient issues, it’s still a very good result. The plant definitely grew extremely fast and tall; it smells good and is super sticky. For my next grow, though, I’ll do a better job of lollipopping—those little nuggets at the bottom were just too much of a pain.
