FuenfFingerKokoGrow For the Permanent Marker Grow Cup, I've made the first preparations. Setup – Germination Phase We prepared small seedling pots (~200 ml) with buffered coconut substrate. A UGRO Rhizo Trichoderma Coco Block was used. The block was soaked for 48 hours in adjusted osmosis water: • EC: 0.6 (600 µS) • pH: 5.7 • Additives: Canna CalMag + Canna Rhizotonic After swelling, the substrate was filled into the seedling pots and left for 3 days to allow the medium to stabilize. Sowing Today, small depressions were prepared in 3 pots, and the Permanent Marker seeds were placed in. The substrate is still noticeably moist, so no additional watering was done to avoid waterlogging. Now it's time to wait and observe the germination.

FuenfFingerKokoGrow FuenfFingerKokoGrow Permanent Marker Cup Diary __________________________________ 03/24/2026 – Seedling Phase (Calendar: Week 2) 🌱 Even though we are already in week 2 on the calendar, our plants are still clearly in the seedling phase and have not yet developed fully formed first leaf pairs. __________________________________ Development After successful germination, the seedlings experienced significant stretching due to a 2-day absence and unadjusted lighting. The plants have grown to about 15–20 cm in height, with very thin and unstable stems. __________________________________ Measures To stabilize them, the following steps were taken: • Transplanting from ~200 ml starter pots into 3.5 L pots • Deep planting of the seedlings (up to below the cotyledons) to increase stability and encourage additional root formation • Adjusting the lighting: - Mars Hydro 100W - Distance about 40 cm __________________________________ Nutrient Solution / Substrate With the transition from germination to the seedling phase, light fertilization was introduced for the first time: • pH: 5.7 • Total EC: about 1.0 – 1.2 (1000–1200 µS) • Fertilizer: Coco A & B The goal is to gently provide the plants with nutrients without overwhelming them. __________________________________ Climate & Conditions • Temperature: - 23–25°C with lights on - about 20°C with lights off • Humidity: - 70–78 % __________________________________ Setup Change The mother plant “Mamma Dante” was moved to the flowering tent, creating more space and better light conditions for the seedlings in the veg tent. __________________________________ Assessment The seedlings are currently still in a slight stress phase due to the previous stretching. With the deep planting, adjusted lighting, and light nutrient supply, growth should stabilize in the coming days and the plants should develop stronger roots. __________________________________ Outlook Focus for the next few days: • Stabilization of the seedlings • Development of a strong stem • Development of the first true leaf pairs We are curious to see if the “Asparagus Gang” fully recovers 😄🌱 __________________________________

After returning from a 7-day absence, the plants are now clearly transitioning into active vegetative growth. The third leaf set is currently developing and overall plant stability has been restored. ————————————————————— Development Upon returning, the system showed signs of mild stress caused by EC increase due to water consumption. This resulted in a slight nutrient imbalance and early lockout symptoms: • slightly yellow new growth • mildly slowed development • overall still stable structure After switching to reverse osmosis water, a clear improvement was visible within approximately 24 hours. New growth is now: • more evenly green • structurally clean • no further progression of chlorosis The plants are clearly transitioning into a stable growth phase. ————————————————————— Actions Taken To resolve the lockout and stabilize the system: • Switched from tap water to reverse osmosis water • Rebuilt nutrient solution from a controlled base • Adjusted EC through dilution • Restored proper oxygenation in the system • Stabilized pH • Continued automated irrigation system ————————————————————— Nutrient Solution / Substrate The nutrient solution is now based on RO water: • Base EC (RO): ~0.02 • CalMag added to ~0.3 EC • Coco A & B added to reach total EC: ~1.0 (1000 µS) • pH: 5.7 Goal is to maintain a controlled nutrient balance and avoid further lockouts. ————————————————————— Irrigation Current irrigation setup: • 3 feedings per day • 1 minute per cycle • approx. 400 ml per interval • total: ~1200 ml per plant per day This ensures consistent moisture in coco with slight runoff to prevent salt buildup. ————————————————————— Climate & Conditions • Temperature: ~26°C • Humidity: 70–80% Humidity remains intentionally high to support early vegetative growth. ————————————————————— Setup Changes • Full transition to RO-based system • Reactivation of tank aeration • Continued but controlled use of sulfur vaporizer The system has shifted from reactive correction to controlled stability. ————————————————————— Assessment The previous lockout has been successfully resolved. The plants are now showing: • stable nutrient uptake • healthy leaf development • calm and consistent growth The system is now in a strong position moving forward. ————————————————————— Outlook Focus for the coming days: • Maintain stable EC (no aggressive feeding yet) • Monitor new growth for full recovery • Fine-tune irrigation frequency • Prepare for increased nutrient demand • Maintain long-term stability with RO water The system is back under control – now the real growth phase begins 😄🌱

FuenfFingerKokoGrow FuenfFingerKokoGrow Permanent Marker Cup Diary ⸻—————————————————— 20.04.2026 – Vegetative Expansion Phase (Calendar: Week 6) 🌱🔥 The plants remain stable in the vegetative stage and showed significant gains in mass, structure and vigor this week. The response to last week’s topping and training is now clearly visible. The Permanent Marker Cup plant is developing compact, strong and highly vigorous. Growth is visibly accelerating. ⸻—————————————————— Development Following topping and early LST, the plants responded very positively overall. New growth appears: • rich green • vigorous • tight internodes • compact structure • no serious deficiency signs Side branches are becoming increasingly dominant, creating a bushy and even structure. The Permanent Marker Cup plant especially shows strong lateral growth and excellent branching. ⸻—————————————————— Actions Taken Focus this week was system optimization and continued structure work. Plant training: • monitored topping response • leaf tucking for light penetration • lightly exposed hidden shoots • prepared for further canopy shaping Plant protection: • beneficial ladybugs introduced • regular underside leaf inspections System optimization: • full irrigation test on all pots • compared flow rates • analyzed runoff timing • observed water demand differences by pot size ⸻—————————————————— Nutrient Solution / Substrate Still running pure coco with RO water base. Current mix: • RO water • Silica additive • Canna Coco A & B • Cannazym • phosphoric pH-down Targets: • EC: 1.1 – 1.2 • pH: 5.8 Plants are responding very stable. ⸻—————————————————— Irrigation / Runoff Management Automatic drip system was heavily tested this week. Findings: Different plant sizes and root masses created clearly different runoff timing. Measured: • smaller 3L pots: runoff after ~45 min • larger 3L pots: 47–75 min • 9L pot: ~50 min • last strong root mass pot: ~80 min • total measured volume after 80 min: ~900 ml Planned strategy: • light morning wetting • later main irrigation with runoff • improve pressure balancing long-term ⸻—————————————————— Drain Analysis Measured runoff: • EC: 0.80 • pH: 6.2 Indicates: • strong nutrient uptake • no salt buildup • slight coco buffering effect Overall stable. ⸻—————————————————— Climate & Conditions • Temperature: 23–26°C • Humidity: ~60% • steady airflow Excellent vegetative environment. ⸻—————————————————— Assessment This week marked clear progress. Plants are growing hard, responding well to training and showing strong vigor. Most important lesson: not every plant can be irrigated identically. The Permanent Marker Cup plant currently looks powerful, bushy and highly competitive. 🔥 ⸻—————————————————— Outlook Focus for coming days: • finalize irrigation timing • create even runoff • open canopy further • push side branching • prepare for next heavy veg week Plants are clearly in forward gear. 🌱🔥
