Z-Up Auto Second Hydro Grow

HAZE-K2 Not much has happened so far. The first root has reached the water, and in the next few days I will probably connect the second air stone. At that point I will remove the drip line that supplies the plant with nutrient solution while the roots are not long enough yet to reach the reservoir.

HAZE-K2 Hi, I’m sorry I haven’t checked in for a while due to some personal reasons. Unfortunately, there’s also some bad news. I messed up and ended up with root rot, and as if that wasn’t enough, I also forgot to fix a magnesium deficiency using Epsom salt. I flushed everything thoroughly, mixed a fresh solution, and cleaned the bucket properly as well. I removed the affected roots, took apart the drip line, and installed a second air stone instead. Right now she’s slowly recovering and has started producing more roots again. I think she’s going to make it and I won’t have to stop the grow, but I’ll keep a close eye on her and continue to give updates. Info: please ignore the salt buildup on the pot, I forgot to wipe it down when I added the new solution. For me, growing is a process of learning and I still have a lot to learn.

HAZE-K2 This week, not much has happened. She’s slowly pushing out more growth, but I still feel like there’s a lot more potential. I tried to bend everything in a way that keeps the shoots exposed so the light can reach them properly. She already has fairly dense foliage, so I removed a few leaves to open her up a bit.

HAZE-K2 This week was pretty much the same procedure as last week. Starting from week 5, I’m no longer giving her any RHIZOTONIC. I stressed her quite a bit during the solution change because I rinsed the roots again. That’s why I’m going to leave her alone for the next few days and only adjust the pH value if needed.

HAZE-K2 We’re getting close to the end of week 5 now, and she’s looking really good. I think she’s still going to stretch a bit more, so I’m really curious to see how she develops. The last one I had stretched to more than double its size during the stretch, but I don’t think that’s going to happen this time. Since I unfortunately won’t be around for the next 5 days, and the solution is usually very stable when I mix it the way I always do, I’ll wait until I get back before switching to Canna Aqua Flores. Otherwise, I would do it once she’s almost finished the current solution. Unfortunately, the humidity has gone up a bit, but I’m hoping it will drop again soon. I also think I’ll lollipop her one more time when I get back. Until then, I hope she stays stable 🤙

HAZE-K2 She handled my 5 days away really well. She had another growth spurt and got pretty dense, so I thinned her out a bit to improve airflow and let the top buds get more light. Hopefully I didn’t take off too much or stress her out so much that she pauses growth for the next few days. We’ll see, I’ll keep you guys updated. Also switched the solution over to bloom and slowly dialing up the light intensity now.

HAZE-K2 Hey guys, Long time no update. Unfortunately, I let quite a few things slide over the last few weeks, so I didn’t really document anything and basically just kept her alive with the bare minimum effort. At one point, things even got pretty rough. She was sitting in the pot for several days without any solution, and all her leaves were already hanging down. So yeah, she got stressed way beyond what she should have, and I’m pretty sure that didn’t do her any favors when it comes to yield, THC levels, and terpenes. Sadly, she doesn’t smell very citrusy either. It’s more of a floral smell at the moment. I think I’ll harvest her sometime this week, but right now there still aren’t enough milky trichomes for my liking. I’m honestly a bit disappointed that I let things slip like that, or had to let them slip like that. I also feel bad about not documenting the grow properly over the last few weeks. But as always, growing and documenting is a learning process. As long as you don’t make the same mistakes twice, it’s totally fine. You’ll definitely get to see the final result though.
