TentCity 2 of 3 germinated after 4 days total, let’s see if the third one gets a chance → only 2 spots in the RDWC system and also my first time running hydro. Still haven’t decided what nutes I want to use… Athena blended line or the new VBX & VBX Shine? Looking forward to learning many new things this grow. Also had some small leaks during the testing phase with my RDWC… good for me that I have waterproof matting under and around it, so it wasn’t a big deal.

TentCity Had to put them in the tent today because I needed the space in my big tent 🏕️. I think they can make it, but I’m not 100% sure they’re strong enough… tomorrow we’ll know more 🤞🌱. Carefully placed the rockwool cube at the bottom of the net pot and slowly filled it up with hydroton 💧. Boohoo… fingers crossed :D 🤞💚.

TentCity 🌱 Weekly RDWC update – turns out last week’s worries were completely unnecessary 😅 The girls are doing amazing! I ran EC around 0.5 all week and the little twins absolutely loved it 😍 Roots shot out just 3 days after transplant and since then growth hasn’t slowed down at all 💦 pH was very stable overall: it initially drifted up to 6.1, then I brought it back down to 5.5. From there, it only slowly drifted up to 5.8 over the next 5 days before today’s reservoir change. Fresh water now back at 5.5 ⚡ I also increased feeding slightly to an EC of 0.9 (instead of the recommended 1.1 – keeping it a bit safer 😏). So far, the plants are taking it perfectly and I’m expecting some explosive growth very soon 🌞 RDWC question: do you guys let pH swing like this on purpose, or do you try to keep it tighter? And how hard do you push EC early on? 🤔 Also check out my Coco grow with 3 strains on my profile – it’s already further along. Let’s connect and share some grow knowledge 👀

TentCity Weekly RDWC update – things are starting to get real now 😏 The “twins” are officially settled in and you can really tell they’ve locked into the system 💧 Roots are developing nicely and starting to fill the lower zone – no slime, no stress (well… almost 😅) and overall very solid development 😍 Growth above the net pots is picking up too. Still early, but they’re clearly happy with the environment and beginning to push faster every day 🌞 I also topped both of them this week ✂️ Curious to see how they respond, but given how vigorous they’ve been so far, I’m expecting them to bounce back quickly and start branching out nicely 👀 I kept things pretty conservative again this week: EC sitting around 0.9 and they’re handling it like champs – no tip burn, no weird leaf behavior 👌 Might bump it slightly soon if they keep asking for more. pH still doing its usual drift game: Started at 5.5 → slowly rising towards ~5.9 over a few days. Honestly, I’m starting to like the swing since it should help with nutrient uptake across the range 🤓 One thing I’m keeping an eye on: Water temps crept up over the last few days and even hit ~22°C at times 😬 Still no major issues so far, but definitely getting close to that danger zone for RDWC. Roots did get a slight nutrient stain, which had me worried at first 😅 I think it’s partly caused by a few small light leaks in the system. That said – root growth is still absolutely explosive 💥 I’m building a ton of root mass and you can literally see them getting bigger every single day. Because of that, I’m not too concerned right now. I’m running a pretty sterile setup: adding ~100 ml of 3% H₂O₂ to ~40L total volume every 2 days, plus weekly reservoir changes 💧 Keeping things as clean as possible. Honestly, since it’s my first RDWC run, I was a bit paranoid when I saw the discoloration 😅 I even looked into stuff like Hydroguard and similar products, but they’re not that easy to get here. So for now I’m sticking with the sterile approach and hoping it keeps working 🤞 If everything continues like this, I think the next week could get explosive 🚀 And hey… if everything goes completely wrong, I’ll just throw a big living soil bed into the tent and call it a day xD 🌱😄

TentCity Long time no see my friends😏🌱 Week 4 – Veg update The ladies really stepped it up this week 💧 Especially the lower branches are pushing hard now and catching up nicely, making the whole canopy much bushier and more even 👀 Topping definitely paid off ✂️ They handled it like champs – growth is strong, balanced, and very vigorous. Overall they just look super healthy and full of energy right now 😍 Below the surface, things are getting crazy… Root mass is exploding 💥 You can literally watch them grow day by day. I did notice a slight brownish tint on the roots, but after checking everything, I’m pretty sure it’s just nutrient staining combined with a bit of light leaking into the system 😅 Nothing too concerning at this point – roots are still growing fast and look healthy overall. I’ll still fix those light leaks to keep the root zone as clean and stable as possible 👀 Above the net pots, everything is right on track 🌞 They’re developing fast, structure keeps improving daily, and overall the system just feels dialed in. At this point it honestly feels like you can watch them grow in real time 😄 Everything is running according to plan – if they keep this momentum, next week could get very interesting 🚀
