This is a feminized Green Crack that a good friend gave to me. It's my first photo period plant, and first sativa dominant strain that I will be growing.
End of the week, everything appears to be good. Strong growing plant. Not much more to say. Back in a week.
When does everyone like to transplant? I've transplanted autos before, but never a photo period before. I know pretty much when to do it, just want an opinion from someone else.
Hi @306GrowGuy! I'm using AirPots, and they really are a game-changer when it comes to transplanting. They allow me to easily transplant multiple times, so usually I start with 0.5L for ~2 weeks, 4L for ~3 weeks, then 11L until the end. I like to transplant when the roots have almost rootbound, they tend to explode when transplanted in bigger containers with fresh medium. About autos, I transplant only once, after the very 1st week into 0.5L, once seedlings have sprouted and I can select the strongest, then 9 or 11L. I transplanted this a few days ago and it has now settled into it's new home and is doing well. No problems so far. Growth has started to take off after the transplant. Back in a week.
So far so good. This is one of the healthiest looking plants I've ever grown. I have a feeling this thing is going to be a stinker. It has a skunky lemon type smell that's quite strong already. I've never topped a plant before and I'm thinking I should probably give it a shot with this one soon. Everything is on track, so I'll be back in a week.
I'm very happy with how this plant is growing. I topped it a few days ago, and it didn't seem to even notice it. I was a bit worried about cutting off part of a perfectly healthy plant, but it's going strong. It's also showing sex so everything seems to be on track.
Its growing pretty good. It was topped a while back and has bushed out a bit. I think I'll throw it into flower in about a week or so. I'll probably defoliate a bit before that though. Not much more to say.
Plant is nice and healthy. I flipped it to 12/12 last week and I'm now seeing the first pistols appearing from one of the tops. I did a short veg on it to keep it smaller due to a lack of space. It smells a lot like mangos I think. Definitely fruity. I've done some defoliation earlier and will lst it as well today.
No problems this week. Plant has barely stretched at all since I put it into flower. The smell of this thing is amazing. Skunk with mangoes mixed th together. Lots of pistils showing as well.
I accidentally fed her with a batch of veg nutrients, and she ended up with clawed leaves. I'm strictly running flowering nutrients now and it seems to be doing fine. Seems healthy, but she's getting pretty smelly already. Pistils are really coming in fast now it seems. Back in a week.
Everything is going well with this girl. I defoliated last week to get more light in the center of the plant. I didn't realize how many lower bud sites were covered. Hopefully they put on some actual weight. I'm kicking myself for not vegging and topping this more, but I was concerned about stretch so I wanted to keep it smaller. Everything is going well. The buds have grown quite a bit in the last week and the plant has ramped up trichome production. I should have removed more of the lower bud sites. They're not going to produce much and just wasting energy. Not much more to say. Thanks for stopping by, and happy growing.
Everything is looking pretty good. I thought this plant would be further ahead into flowering than it is right now. I'm seeing very little to no calyx swell. It is glittering in the light with a lot of trichomes though. Looks beautiful. Back in a week.
Buds are now fattening up a bit. Not near as fast or as much as I'd like. It started to yellow of quite a bit, so the end is almost in sight. But it still has a ways to go. Not too optimistic about having a decent harvest. I'll blame myself for that one though.
Had some technical issues with lights and it didn't get as much as it could for the week. Still a long way out from finishing up. Hopefully the smoke is good because the yield is going to be crap because of my mistakes. Happy growing.
Still have at least a week to go. Lots of trichomes on this plant, but they aren't mature enough to convince me to harvest. I doubt the buds are going to put on anymore weight. There's not much calyx swell on this plant. I'm used to them blowing up but these aren't doing much. Maybe more time and they will? Anyways, thanks for stopping by.
Another week has passed and it's still not done. I've noticed some swelling in the last few days, and the buds are noticeably chubbier than a few days ago. Very dense and hard buds. Its slowed down on spitting out pistils so I'm thinking another week. This plant stinks bad. I can smell it at my front door when I come home. Thankfully I don't have to worry about that. I decided today was harvest day. Everything I saw was a green light to go ahead and chop her down. I'm always reluctant to chop, even though I'm sure it's done. I always think it could go a bit longer, but sooner or later you have to cave and get it done. I'll update this completely once she's cured and ready to smoke. All I can say at this point is that these buds are super hard. The densest buds I've ever grown.
