painspk 26/03: 4 seeds were put in between wet paper towels. (Left-Afghan Kush Auto; Right-Skunk #1 Auto) 27/03: In less than 24h all seeds showed signs of germination. Skunk #1 seems to be more vigorous. 28/03: All seeds had at least 0,5cm long radicule and have been placed in their final fabric 15 L pots.

painspk Skunk #1 #1: I had an issue with this plant. My cat bit its leaves *facepalm*. She seems to be growing just fine. Hope that doesn't stress her. The first set of leaves didn't fully develop due to this biting episode. Although, her second set of leaves are growing fine and her overall growth doesn't seem to be affected. Skunk #1 #2: Another problem with the starting seed. It died with no aparent reason. Now it is 2 days old, while the others are 7 days old. She seems pretty healthy. Watered them on day 5 with 300 mL each with some mycorrhiza (Gorilla Pro-Mix 1g/5L) Watered them again today (day 7) with 600 mL each, distributed around almost the whole fabric pot. Since my soil is aerated and the pots are made from fabric, I think overwatering won't be an issue.

painspk Afghan #1: 14 days old Afghan #2: 14 days old Skunk #1 #1: 14 days old Skunk #1 #2: 9 days old Afghan #1: I had an issue on day 11. I watered her but midway watering her leaves started drooping. Pretty sure it was a sign of overwatering. I stopped immediately and placed the fabric pot on a towel to absorb the excess water. She recovered well and is now the most vigorous plant. Skunk #1 #1: I don't know if it is something with the strain or breeder, but it has really short internodes and its leaves doesn't seem to develope fully, reamaining short. One day I tried measuring the PPFD with the iOS Photone app to set the value at the top of the plants between 210 and 230, so I kept the LED at 20% and lowered the height. A few minutes later the leaves angled up to a more or less 45ΒΊ. I freaked out thinking it was light overexposure and ajusted the height back to were it was in the beggining. I hope that they all take off when their root system delevop to a more structured stage.

I don't really know when to raise the amount of light when growing autos. I think I'll wait for them to complete 15 full days and then I'll raise the LED panel to 50cm, change from 20% to 40% potency and observe how they behave.

hello my friend for automatics as their life cycle is predefined, each day of optimized growth counts towards the final yield. Your plan to increase to 40% at 50 cm on day 15 is an excellent basis, but here's how to refine your approach based on what we see on your seedlings: Exit from the β€œSeedling” stage Around 15 days, the plant has generally finished developing its basic root system and begins its vegetative explosion. Increased tolerance: At this stage, the leaves are wide enough to withstand higher light intensity without risking immediate burning. The observation: The key to success When you increase the potency, your plants will β€œtalk” to you in a few hours: Sign of satisfaction: The leaves point slightly upwards (at 45Β°) as if they were trying to β€œgrasp” the light. Sign of stress (Taco): If the edges of the leaves fold upwards (as we have seen in other examples), it is because the 40% is still too early or the lamp is too close. Distance between nodes: If the stem between each layer of leaves remains short and stubby, your intensity is perfect. If it stretches too much, you can even lower the lamp to 40-45 cm later. Little advice on your current installation In your photo, we see that your seedlings are very green and do not look like they are "tiger" (looking for the light), which proves that your current 20% are doing a good job getting started. Make sure the temperature under the lamp does not exceed 26-27Β°C once you go to 40%, as heat increases proportionally to the power of the panel. Your plan is very careful and intelligent. The gradual transition (20% - 40%) is much safer than doubling the intensity all at once. I hope this will help you. Have a good evening.

painspk Afghan #1: 21 days Afghan #2: 21 days Skunk #1 #1: 21 days Skunk #1 #2: 16 days At day 15 I adjusted the lights between 50 and 55 cm distance and dialed up the dimmer to 40% intensity. They responded really good to this new setting. Fast buds' Afghan Kush has definitely a faster and more vigorous growth in comparison to sensi seeds' Skunk #1. Afghan pheno #1 is the most vigorous up until now. It has short and compact internodes and is now showing a lot of lateral meristem growth. I'm thinking about starting LST tomorrow on her to expose lateral branches to a more intense light. Skunk #1 has a good primary growth and apical development. But the secondary growth isn't showing. The branches diameter are still the same with little development. It is showing lateral meristem development, but it seems to be slow. I don't know if it is something with the genetics itself or if I did something wrong during these first weeks.

painspk 26/04 - end of week 4: Afghan #1: 28 days Afghan #2: 28 days Skunk #1 #1: 28 days Skunk #1 #2: 23 days Log: 20/04 - Day 22: I bent their stem (except Skunk #1 pheno #2) with a LST approach to expose the developing side branches to a higher light intensity. 21/04 - Day 23: Noticed the first white pistils forming on all 3 older plants. Is this the correct flowering timing? 26/04 - Day 28: They seem to be responding ok to LST and the sidebranches are developing and growing. Flowering is starting and more budsites are developing. I think next week I'll increase the light intensity to 60% and watch how they respond. Also, I might add BioBizz Bio-Bloom and Top-Max @ 1/2 the concentration to their next watering. Watering: 20/04 - Day 22: roughly 460 mL per plant - BioBizz Bio-Grow @ 0,5mL/L (pH 6,3) 23/04 - Day 25: roughly 460 mL per plant - BioBizz Bio-Grow @ 0,5mL/L (pH 6,4)

painspk 03/05 - end of week 5: Afghan #1: 35 days Afghan #2: 35 days Skunk #1 #1: 35 days Skunk #1 #2: 30 days Log: 30/04 - Day 32: Light intensity increased to 60% and the LED distance adjusted to 60 cm. Afghan #1 still seems to be developing growth while entering bloom stage. On the other hand, Afghan #2 seems to be only streching and developing bud sites. Skunk #1 #1: doesn't seem to be streching too much but is developing bud sites more and more. Skunk #1 #2: I think I'll hold on with the LST for a while to see how she develops and then create a strategy from there. Watering: 27/04 - Day 29: roughly 550 mL per plant - BioBizz Bio-Grow, Bio-Bloom and Top-Max @ 0,5mL/L (pH 6,3) (added some mychorryza @ 1g/5L) 01/05 - Day 25: roughly 460 mL per plant - plain tap water with KNF microorganisms @ 3 mL/L (pH 6,3)

(Max: 20,5/Min: 14,1) Watering: 04/05: Watered them with aprox. 575 mL each. BioBizz Bio-Grow, Bio-Bloom and Top-Max @ 0,5mL/L (pH 6,4) (added some mychorryza @ 1g/5L) They responded badly.
